Wow, wonderful to see her return to Coniston after all these years! I was a kid when the crash happened, and as soon as I found out I went out and bought all the newspapers I could find. Great respect to Donald Campbell and wish he could be back too. In later years I trained and dived with Furness Sub-Aqua club and every time we did south Coniston water there was one member who consistently covered a different area in search of the ruins, (You know who you are Mr Chatfield!). Sadly he never had success. To be truthful, it wouldn't be easy to find the QE2 in there! RIP Donald Malcom Campbell. Lots of aerial videos around Coniston on my channel, "Flights of Fancy 2020".
