I really wish people would just appreciate the video and stop nick picking at every little detail. The family is going through enough and it's sad enough they weren't able to have the homegoing she deserved. For those of you criticizing people for having the service, each funeral home and state varies. Be grateful they are sharing this celebration of life footage with us! My condolences to all families and love ones affected by Covid19. May God be with you to comfort you.

My heart is heavy. To Bishop Drew and his brother and entire family. Loosing a mother is like someone has gutted your insides out and I can tell you God will bring you through this difficult time. I know because he's still helping me after loosing my mother/best friend 2 years ago. I pray Gods covering over you during this difficult time, that each day the heaviness will be lifted. I watched the service when it streamed live. My heart aches for the family! The fact that her husband who is stricken with the virus himself could not bid his wife of 64 years goodbye!!😭 The fact that only 17 people could attend and not the thousands who loved her which comprised of church, family and friends. If it wasn’t for the regulations, there would have been thousands here!! It probably would have had to been held at GEI. My heart and prayers are definitely with Detroit family and the Sheard’s!! ❤️❤️

God has truly woken up our eyes. I would have never thought that we are living in a time where we have to wear a mask and latex gloves in Church especially for a funeral. I know if this virus wasn't happening the Church would be packed. My heart goes out to the family

This is sad on many levels. One of our COGIC mothers going home to be with the Lord and they can't give her the send off we usually give to such a Godly and Dedicated and Saintly mother. I was so happy to see when they finally took that casket spray off such a beautiful and expensive casket the "Batesville Millennium" I know it was the family's choice but I would have never put that spray on. Let the world see the craftsmanship and how it is a perfect selection the reflection of a truly Elegant and dignified woman of God.
My Brother-in-law and other family members worked for Batesville until the company moved to Mexico.

I do not know your family, I did see a Christmas video with her husband, sons, daughters in law and her grands. She had such a sweet spirit and mighty woman of God. I loved when she said she loved her diamonds she received from the Bishop. She was a woman of wisdom from the way she answered questions on how to stay married. Remember, even through the pain, God still does all things well.
