This was very helpful and inspiring. Been watching your videos for over a year, planning on join Sync Academy/Sync Edge in likely the next availability, and I really like the Podcasts and Tutorials. I'm 43 and just beginning with music licensing and building a catalog, just nearing my first submission efforts. So, THANKS! for putting so much out there for us that are just getting started. Your channel helps in so many ways.
What a great panel. Great to hear all of Jesse's points get confirmed by other professionals. Lots of nodding heads on the panel every time he spoke. Makes it easy to trust the knowledge I'm learning from SyncAcademy.
I'd say there was about 60 people in the room during any given panel (probably more outside, etc.). The good thing is that with such a small event you can really network much easier.
From what I gather, AMPER will eventually take the place of music production libraries. Artists, songwriters, and composers shouldn't be worried about the program making music for them. They should be worried that there will be less of a need for their music to licensed. The music production library companies are the ones super scared. IF the average joe TV editor/producer/director or whatever can "render" a song to drop in a 30 sec. commercial without paying money? Bro... come on.
Good job on representation Jesse! Of course we knew exactly where you were coming from, but for those that didn't know, they sure do now! Lol Thank you for sharing this with us. Cheers!
I agree, but when you watch a commercial, or an educational tutorial on whatever, you aren't really focusing on that human emotion the song gives you.... I think eventually AMPER will make exclusive deals with major advertising/market companies. They will replace music production libraries with majority of their clients in the advertising market.
Great Jesse. Very nice of you sharing with us this big achievement and 1000% so much valuable info. Thanks for making my life easier!🐝
Glad to help!

Hi Jesse, Great Job. I am planning to go to Nashville summit this year. Was there a good turn out in LA. How many people took part in the summit.
I'd say there was about 60 people in the room during any given panel (probably more outside, etc.). The good thing is that with such a small event you can really network much easier.
Ok, Thanks for the information good to know...
Thank you for doing this

No way I'd deal with Sinead's crowd. They want perp on the tracks.
Most Libraries you'll encounter will ask for perpetuity contracts. It's just part of the biz. I uploaded a video about this on my channel recently.
AI might be helping composers, but when the editors and production sups have their hand on it, there may be less need for composers. Just a thought.
Certainly. I'll be doing a podcast interview with Shane and I will ask him about those concerns we have as composers.

You got it!
