I went to a Maiden concert recently. Bruce absolutely lit up when they played something from the Senjutsu album. The other songs were more of a “going through the motions” thing. The performances for everything were amazing, but you could tell they wanted to play more of the new stuff. It’s safe to say that THIS is their sound now. I’m happy that they’re still going. They all play phenomenally by the way. Absolutely worth going to see them ;)
This song is summing up everything that makes this bands music compelling. An amazing intro, amazing writing from Steve (as usual) great solos and Bruce sounding better than he has in a long time. Great job.
Bruce just turned 62 or 63. They’re all in their 60s and still kicking ass, and I think Nicko is the oldest at 69... yes, 69, a favorable number to a lot out there, and I’m sure Nicko loves being 69, too. lol
I was thinking that he's lost a bit of range - happened to others of a similar style (Halford, Tate come to mind) but he's still got "it". This really does remind me of Maiden 30 years ago - and that ain't bad at all.

Same here. 53 and listen to Maiden every single day of my life. My coworkers are finally catching on to the greatest metal band of all time.
I am almost 55, have listened to Maiden since 9th grade. Love their music and have seen them twice live. Senjutsu is an amazing culmination of so many years of their work. My favorite album of all their 17 studio albums.
Was a senior in high school when NOTB came out. The first time I heard it, I sat there and listened to the whole record from start to end and realized afterwards that I had just heard the greatest album ever made!
@@phxsunsfaninsd It was and is Killers for me
NOTB is close second
At 56, listening to Maiden since NOTB and seen them 6 times. Up the Irons!!
The world is insane, lets take refuge here my friends, lets enjoy the music together.
Praise the sun
And pass the ammunition
So far, this album is fucking fantastic! It's fresh, the vocals and musicianship is as good, if not better than ever. The song writing and structure is as good as it's ever been. I'm thrilled so far!
Never has there been a band like Iron Maiden, and never will there be another.
This album blows the rest away i reckon.. even number of the beast.. peace of mind.. killers.. powerslave... this is beyond fucking brilliant.. i honest god am laughing with pure joy at every song i hear.. epic as fuck
@@damienyoung9080 Euhmmm slow down. Nothing Maiden dropped after Seventh son holds a candle against those first 7 albums. This album is good though, and i'm glad it's liked, but let's be real here lol
@@AgentLemmon Fans hype every new Maiden album. "Best album since (insert title here). But I agree, they've never topped the first seven in my opinion.
How can anyone really top albums like Killers, The Number of the Beast, Powerslave, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son? The Book of Souls from the current era? Those albums are just a step beyond everything else. 😄
@@cumbco Maybe, but BNW and Dance of Death are pretty damn close. Imo those 2 are far better than dianno albums.
The boys deserve another beer for this one. UP THE IRONS !

Harris basslines. So much fun to play. Nothing like no other bass player in the world. Legend

Been listening to Maiden since 1982, been a Bass player ever since, Harris has a special place in my heart and this song is so freaking epic no words to describe the emotions I feel when listening to this song, a masterpiece, thank you Steve for all you have done for my emotional well being
Same here, man!!! But since 1986!
Great bass on every song on the album, Steve hit it out of the park with his epic playing on this album .
X100 my favorite song of the beast
"Vengeance is for all who lay dead
I have no fear, my body has bled
I will live on in rebirth again
Come to me now, embrace it my friend"
Chills!!! I can't put into words what Bruce vocals and this music do to me
I've been a huge fan of Maiden for 30 years and can honestly say that this album is a joy to listen to. One of there best and I like all of them. I love Priest, Metallica, Sabbath etc but Maiden are the GOAT.
A beautiful piece of poetry and music - "In darkness, fortune favors the brave!"
This is a great song from Iron Maiden's album Senjutsu- which is a masterpiece. I am so impressed by Death of the Celts, and the entire album. I think it's the best release from 21st century Maiden!
You can tell Bruce loves telling and singing beautiful stories and this one is no exception ! Amazing and beautiful at the same time, thank you guys ; )
Adrian's Solo: 4:17
Janick's Solo: 6:54

This is the best song on the entire record imo. Maiden are incapable of making anything bad.
Iron Maiden never fail to impress. Living legends.

I can't stop to listen this album, totally epical
Such music gives hope that all is not lost in this world. Thank You Maiden for giving an incredible album - every song is a masterpiece.
Feels like The Clansman with more experience and of course, with Bruce! Feels great!!
The clansman is a way better than this one.

Guitar masterpiece. Adrian, Dave, Janick. Doesn't get any better than that.

The guitar work on that song is simply incredible.
I have been paralyzed for four years now, but your music, maiden, has given me the strength to stand and turn the volume up.
Thanks.
Everyone is talking about the albums from the 80s and rightfully so. However, deep down, I think this is the kind of music that Steve Harris has wanted to write all along. He just had to wait for the right moment to do it. If you would have asked a 20-year old Steve Harris about his vision for Iron Maiden, I think the current version of the band is the closest we're going get to his answer.
OK but stop pasting the freaking comment on every song dummy !
I agree
I think the lads in their 60’s now, are playing the music that they always wanted to play! In my top 5 Maiden albums! Brilliant!
well said.
It just sounds like Iron Maiden doing a fairly stereotypical folk tune with a fairly normal typical dramatic operatic sounding chorus.
This is a masterpiece.
Ese bajo de Harris alucinante, que canción más épica, Iron Maiden de verdad lo más grande sobre este mundo.
UP The Irons 🤘🤘🤘
WITH SIMPLE WORDS THIS A LESSON FROM THE BIGGEST METAL BAND ON THE PLANET HOW CAN CREATE AN EXCELLENT ALBUM EVEN AFTER ALMOST 50 YEARS IN MUSIC!!! LONG LIVE " IRON MAIDEN UP THE IROOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!!!!!
Probably the best song of the album...
The Time Machine is great too
One of the best musics of Iron Maiden.
What a great album...one of their best..without a doubt.
Iron maiden forever
I want them to play the entire album during the ir show ...then the oldies..this album is a miraculous masterpiece of splendor for my eagerly awaiting eardrums...totally kicks ass!!!!! 2022... please come back to Montreal...we worship you

without a doubt, love you guys, UP THE IRONS!!
Absolutely worth going to see them ;)
With each listen this song grows stronger and stronger. Such an epic album! 🤘🤘🤘
Desde las primeras notas supe que sería una gran canción. Larga vida a Iron Maiden, nunca decepcionan.

This song is summing up everything that makes this bands music compelling. An amazing intro, amazing writing from
Steve (as usual) great solos and Bruce sounding better than he has in a long time. Great job.
Such an amazing song!!! Gives me Clansman vibes. I can't wait to see them perform this live!!!!
Wow, Senjutsu is fantastic! By now, this is my favorite track from the album, Mr. Harris always gives us Metal masterpieces like this, up the Irons!!
Damn, how old is Bruce? His voice is very strong throughout the album....Up the Irons forever!!
I agree. He might not be perfect like in his 20's but he can certainly deliver a lot of passion and surprising amount of power for his age.
Bruce just turned 62 or 63. They’re all in their 60s and still kicking ass, and I think Nicko is the oldest at 69... yes, 69, a favorable number to a lot out there, and I’m sure Nicko loves being 69, too. lol
61 when he recorded this
I was thinking that he's lost a bit of range - happened to others of a similar style (Halford, Tate come to mind) but he's still got "it". This really does remind me of Maiden 30 years ago - and that ain't bad at all.
@@SirLionofBiff He's taken care of his voice better than anyone else, he is a real champ!

People may imagine that AGE would make Iron Maiden slughsh... It just made then better! The whole band exale experience above every lvl shown before! This is my favourite album so far!

[Instrumental Intro]
[Verse 1]
The road it winds uphill all the way
Ride to glory on this day
Remember now to do him so proud
In God we trust, cry it out loud
[Verse 2]
Redeem my salve of winning ways
Remember all the darkest days
Of that I know will see me tread
Walketh upon the field of the dead
[Verse 3]
The burden of blood, the breaketh of bone
The battlefield now I make it my own
The glory of the morning we make
Praying the rose is still awake
[Verse 4]
Lord above my spirit says
Death is not proud, no more no less
Power of my soul will be free
Deliver us on to victory
[Verse 5]
Wither a pain that's almost a joy
Wander there my heart will destroy
Dreaming of days of our youth again
Stranger no wonder memories remain
[Verse 6]
Pour thy scorn upon the realm
Pity me none at the gates of our hell
For I am but a messenger, one
Sent to do reckoning what must be done
[Verse 7]
Praying to our wretched doom
Liberty freedom, maybe death looms
Wishing upon a fair display
Hoping our cause, done faithfully
[Verse 8]
Wayward thunder over rain
Giving me time to think again
Send to their graves on this day
Silent where the battle dead lay
[Verse 9]
Vengeance is for all who lay dead
I have no fear, my body has bled
I will live on in rebirth again
Come to me now, embrace it my friend
[Verse 10]
Spirits cry for a god from the grave
In darkness, fortune favors the brave
Dying, a warrior Celt has no fear
Immortal, for he will live evermore
[Guitar Solos]
[Bridge]
Dying, a warrior Celt has no fear
Immortal, for he will live evermore
[Verse 11]
Think I am, that I'm almost there
Following now, the depths of despair
Beyond the light darkness will fall
Coming to take the life from us all
[Verse 12]
Falling now where God can’t explain
Bidding farewell, a lifeline again
Following those who came from hell
Came to witness the death of the Celts
Thanks!!!
Daym, 18 months later I can not stop listening to this album. Like I am a teenager again, just discovering the band for the first time. How did you do that?!
Maiden intros have their own discography. Best band to do it in my opinion. The Who come close as well.
The intros could make up a movie score..
The Strokes as well if you like that genre. Not all albums are the best but the opener is always perfect.
