Can we please take a minute for the high quality from this video. It's crispy.
first time watching a video where I've actually said to myself....."holy sh*t"
Not for me with my crap wifi :)
This guy is toe to toe with MKBHD in the quality of their content. And that's a lot to say
This is perhaps one of the best no-nonsense reviewers on UA-cam. Thoroughly informative and professionally filmed run down on the product’s features. Got me convinced. Thanks!
Good video
Finally, someone who understands that the case is not hard to carry.
Factuals
Yeah but the phone call quality is a deal breaker for me. And pairing.
And no IPX rating, and on airpods pro the lack of volume control is a deal breaker for me so i guess no upgrades this year.
@@BrawndoQC that's a big ouch for the Xm3's that I can recognize...to me is not a big deal because I don't get calls as often...but I can see how I'd a big issue.
@@PbasijiR I don't go to the gym so I don't really mind about the IPX rating..but I think is good that apple added that to the airpods pro, since even the beat lineup lacked and ipx rating... yeah...I'll wait a year for a newer version of the Sony's, hopefully they'll fix the mic and they'll maybe surprise us with a smaller case or ipx rating, who knows.

@@korvaE1456 you happy with them? I have the wh 1000 xm3 but I dont wanna use them in summer and in the gym anymore...
@@LukeDogg20 I have them and I'm very happy with them. I love them to death! My ONLY gripe is that the phone call audio is the worst I've ever heard. And the thing is I can hear the other person on the phone clearly, but on their end it's horrendous. It's bad enough that multiple times I've had to turn my bluetooth off just so the other person can hear me. I've seen similar complaints from others and youtubers who reviewed this also. Other than that, it's a great product.
@@LukeDogg20 I definitely like these for going outside compared to the wh1000xm3 as they dont make your head sweat, I've gone for hikes in Australia heat 30Celsius and no issues (probably not the smartest as sweat could possibly damage them) and i also use them for riding motorcycle under the helmet, great ear protection from loud noises. As the other reply to your question I've also had phone call quality issues..
Exactly the same with the wh1000 xm3. Phone calls are not possible
The crazy part is that I know the background is not edited in! Your camera and cameraman+editors are really top notch
How can you tell
All they are doing is using a lens that allows bokeh, not rocket science. LOL
Its blurred because his lens has a wide aperture, probably a f/1.8 or something around there
Wide aperture with the combination of rim lighting will give you that look.

Sony recently release a firmware update that let's you use the touch controls to change the volume.
Dakari thank you definitely getting
Just got em today for that reason... Almost grabbed the airpod pros.. But they have volume control.... Soooooo 🤷🏾♂️
@@MrParis215 I don't understand why people are so upset that airpods don't have volume control, like it doesn't take that much more effort to get your phone and change it.
@@vertixhd6517 think like you will use it on a Gym, and u want to let the phone on the cabinet, or your phone is charging at the wall a little far from you, in that cases the volume control is good. Other example, I go to the university on foot, and to get there I pass on a highway, I really prefer ti control in the phone because picking the phone to change volume is a distraction that could put me in danger
@@brunofernandes4678 I understand the Gym example but the 2nd one? Like could you not wait knowing you're putting yourself in danger. Of course, it would be a handy feature that people would love but I don't see it as absolutely necessary.

Alfredo Mandujano how are they?
@@tusharkhera7042 amazing for something that small audio is amazing battery is amazing never had any problem
The best thing with it is noise canceling. He's kinda exaggerating. It gets uncomfortable if have them long time. Also the battery goes down pretty fast. One thing I like about is the app making bass op.
Can i wear them in Gym? 🤔
Likewise. They are really good. I’m going to sell my XBR950B1.
They just released a firmware update. Before you could only use the Google Assistant, now it can use Amazon Alexa AND you have an option to CONTROL THE VOLUME! I love it!
Now il definitely buy it
Daryl Lanaban worth the money
Is this correct that the new firmware gives you volume control now? I’ve watched a whole bunch of these reviews and you’re the first to say the new firmware allows volume control. Is this true? Thanks

Had these for a couple of weeks now. The sound quality is amazing, and with all the new firmware updates, these things are KILLER! With the latest firmware, the call quality is no longer bad... it's actually very good! Plus you can also control the volume from the buds themselves if you choose to via the app. So many features packed into these earbuds. I'm so happy I went with these over the AirPods Pro.
Imagine having to say that name everytime someone asked you what type of headphones you have.
Take a deep breath 😂
im just gonna call them 1kXM3's

These are amazing, but sony needs to work on their naming.
True that or fire that idiot who is responsible for giving such names
Most of Sony electronics are named like that. The name makes perfect sense. They arent selling to a mass market, they are selling to business people who need noise canceling for their long flights. Much like the headphone counterpart. WF1000mx3 translates to Wireless Freedom Mark 3 (since its the wireless freedom version of the headphone version 3).
@@lit_wick The name makes perfect sense if you know what it stands for, meaning the naming convention is hard to remember and confusing at best.
WF means wireless fit
1000X is the series
M3 means mark 3
So in the end it's quite logical
@@lit_wick I know I don't get why people are upset about how Sony names their products, it makes perfect sense to me.
Now I’m thinking which to get, the AirPods Pro or the Sony M3s. Can you do a side by side comparison. Thanks. 👍🏽
If sound is your priority go with the Sony M3’s, if convenience is your priority go with the airpod pro’s.
What's your phone? If it's the iPhone definitely AirPods, the microphone on the Sony is trash, every other company has shit microphone other than Apple, however if you wanna listen to music alone, then the Sony.
Love my AirPods Pro, definitely go with those.
I owned the Sony’s for a month plus then got the airpod pros and got rid of Sony’s. Except for sound quality (which is good but AirPods aren’t far behind) AirPods are better in every single way. And a much better buy
@@molarrr how are the airpods a much better buy when they cost more and they are worse in everything else apart from call quality 😂,you apple sheeps are jokes
I been through a lot of earbuds. Either I didn't like the sound or comfort or battery life or looks. But the second I took these out the box I was blown away. These sound better than my Bose car speakers. At work everyone went crazy over these buds. These are classy. I'm not returning these for nothing.
I just got my pair today. I'm sitting next to a noisy air conditioner and a noisy PC. When the music is on, I hear nothing outside of my own ears. They are perfect. And BTW, the volume control feature has been updated with a firmware update. As of July 2020, you can make one of the buttons for volume control. It's intuitive and simple.
Man the video quality is just mind blowing.
One day I'm going to catch this man somewhere around Newark

7:06 Love This Shottt Keep doing stuff like this!!!
I can't believe that Sony is sponsoring something and also that you are the first reviewer that talked about the automatic change in noise canceling thanks to the sense engine ,I have been using that for one year now on the WF-1000X
Over all perfect for me.. before I was having like 4 hours sleeps but now I am using this as a sleeping buds to cancel the noise from the surrounding and I got like 7 to 8 hours of sleeps... And the sound quality is exceptional.. I am very satisfied with my purchased.. thanks sony!!!
Jud:I have funny shaped ears

Glad I'm not alone lol
One of the most crispest videos you've put out! Great review but the background music is just a bit too loud. Keep up the good work!
I have been using it for a week, and I agree with every feature you mentioned. Worth the money.
Yup
Then pull-ups had me dying. Flexin on us. 😂🤣
They’re great for listening to music & noise cancellation. 10/10 in those departments but what kill these for me is their microphones. You literally can not have a phone call without someone tell you that you sound choppy and robotic.
I have them for 2 months now. They are amazing.
Pros: ambient sound let's me hear people when I'm at the office. Noice reduction, works really well, not the same as an over ear, but if you have media playing you wont be bothered. Sound quality, it's just good, better than any other I ve tried.
Cons: not water or sweat proof, I dont exercise with earbuds but if i wanted I couldn't. Phone calls, sometimes people on the other side of line hear more of the ambient than my voice, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Overall the best I ve had the chance to test (on S8)
Just because they don't have an official IP-rating doesn't mean that they can't handle a bit of sweat. So if you don't go jogging for an hour in a sauna, you'll probably be fine :)
@@mattias1099 Did you try it with them? Only thing that makes me hesitant about them
@@olivierolivier6513 Yes, I've been working out with them for the past 6 months. And the only complaint I have is that when my ears get a bit sweaty, they have a tendency to start sliding out which is very annoying. Also running with them is a nightmare, so don't even try that! If you work out a lot, then I'd get the WF-SP800N. Actually thinking of selling these and getting them myself!
Please consider microphone test as part of reviews for earphones and headphones.
Your videos are just getting better day by day 🔥💯

I think we need a full comparison between these and the AirPods Pro
I recently bought these for plane flights and bus rides, and they are absolutely amazing! Can’t recommend them enough! Much better sounding than AirPods pro
Marf do u have the AirPods Pro?
Got mine in early August. Right earbud stopped working 2 days ago. Nothing from sonys website helps. Normal use, no sweat damage, or anything. Fing livid. Hope every one else has a way better experience with theirs
I have these. Love them. But I'm honestly waiting for someone to test really how much water damage can it take... Someone? Anyone?
😂😂 "i have funny shaped ears" you aight tho. your videos are lit

Upgraded from some JLab go airs and got these baby’s used for $70, and they’re so so nice
This video is already outdated. The Sony earbuds now control the volume via the touch controls. There's been a firmware update to the earbuds.
I have these but I fell asleep with them in and now I can't find the right ear phone and I've looked all over my room😭 I don't understand

Thank you for uploading this video! I've been on the fence with these earphones and was surprised you did not make a video, but now that you did I am for sure going to get them! Great job!
Was going to buy these but I really want the volume up and down feature, I hope it comes in a future update!
Mine fall out of my ear a lot! I feel like I need wingtips but I haven’t been able to find any compatible with these earbuds! HELP!!!
Change the tips, bigger or smaller.
mine used to fall out, switch to small and boom perfect fit
ItsMrDante I switched to all sizes
Ismail Zeitoun I tried all sizes! Over time the fit loosens and they fall out! I definitely can’t work out in them!
Yeah i have issues with my left ear
I love my AirPods Pro, not even bothering with the Sonys.
Sony's sound better and have more features and better noise cancellation for music listeners, however the mic sounds bad (like every other one in the market other than the AirPods) so phone calls are gonna be an issue. And if you have an iPhone the AirPods are just convenient. This is more for Android users.
Name of that beat that’s 🔥🔥🔥 good video
I love the earbuds had them for 2 years i have yet to see a better pair
So, after this Airpods were released, then the Sony's popular... very cool...
WH =Wireless Headphones
WF =Wire Free
I bought a pain of these yesterday (for my son in law). Hope he likes them (they seem awesome)
Wonderful video, I've had mine for about month and I have recommended these to at least 10 people. When asked....I always start with the sound separation which is remarkable and end with noise cancellation....which is on a about planet. Just buy these; you will not be disappointed.
Cool video! It will be very interesting to see an AirPods Pro and these Sony earbuds comparison by sound quality, noise cancelling feature and wearing comfort. I'd be happy to know which one is the best.
Airpods Pro gets released
Sony: SPONSOR ALL THA VIDS
Did you try the Airpod Pro vs this? If not yet, please try it then back to this :) Im talking about the sound quality
It's so strange. When these first came out there were hardly any videos, Sony waited until the Airpods Pro dropped to get all the videos out. I get it sort of, but they had a couple competition free months and they wasted it.
I have had these since July when I bought them in Fukuoka, Japan. The sound quality is excellent (I love how music sounds on them) , the build and design is quality and classy. I definitely agree with you about a great design. The app to control them is really nice, and the ANC does a decent job of dampening the sound. The right bud control of the google assistant works well too. They are definitely a 9/10 for me.
Thank you for finally making a video of this!!
6:07 "if you're running" nop, don't do it with this earbuds, they are not sweat or water resistant
I guess we have forgotten about the millions of people who have sweated their ass off in the headphones of the past that were manufactured with zero thought going into moisture resistance. Those headphones operated perfectly fine for years.
@@thisiserich Precisely.... You don't need to get an IP rating just to be sweat proof man.... You just can't submerge it underwater THAT'S ALL.
@@thisiserich mate in australia you sweat your ass off just walking outside
They’re not even great for running man. I’ve constantly had to fix the fit every time I’m at the gym for leg day. These are NOT meant for exercise and movement. Maybe for just listening and walking but not for running or training whatsoever. I don’t approve of these buds at all. I’ve had many issues with them as well. The Sony app for them is shit and full of bugs as well.
What's the name of the background music🔥

I'd say they're the best truly wireless earbuds for Android. Whereas the airpods pro work for the iPhone.
Na these are better than AirPods

@@thethiccdonut5257 you're right, but if you have an iPhone the seamless experience with them I think makes them better. Just my opinion but as someone with a Samsung I'd pick up the Sony's.
@@thethiccdonut5257 Unless you want to make a phone call, good luck with the Sony
Nejc Rebolj Yes, dipshit. I own an 11 Pro Max, so I gravitated to trying the AirPods Pro first, but their audio quality is mediocre at best and there is no integrated volume control which is a deal breaker for me.
I've just ordered these to pair up with my Wh-1000XM3s. I'll use the over ears whilst commuting and the need for stronger noise cancelling is needed, and the in ears for exercising, walking etc.
I just bought a pair and I love em . Very hi tec.
The only problem I've encountered is one falls out if i bend down.

Everybody: "average consumer?" 🤔
I find it really hard to trust a review from someone who is being sponsored by the company that makes the product they are reviewing.
That too months after it's launch just to compete with Apple.
Then watch other reviews that aren't sponsored by Sony.
I recommend watching flossy Carter's review of these
Please ,Sony sponsoring something is a miracle tbh 😂 ,the review is fair ,only thing is he didn't talk about call quality which is the only weak point of the earphones 🤔
kanna mustafa But it makes you wonder if he would have mentioned call quality if he wasn’t sponsored. Think about it like this, Sony basically gave him a big pile of money to review the product and he knows if he gives it a negative review they will be less likely to do it again so he is going to be much more positive than he would be otherwise so he can get another sponsorship. And that kind defeats the entire purpose of a review if you can’t actually trust the reviewer to be objective
I got this 2 weeks ago and i almost never use my pxc 550 anymore, i can hear more sound detail and bass in my head, and it even had great stage, i don't have any regret buying this wireless earphone

Just don't buy it for the microphone, have to return it because it's annoying to switch back to my phone every time a client calls.
If you're looking for true wireless prime audio quality. There are better options than these. They sound good, for sure, but they don't come close to a pair like Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless, for instance.
@@wyw201 That's pretty much any truly wireless earbuds I have tried other than the AirPods
@@Aiii83 There is no better option for earbuds, and bluetooth is never gonna sound as good as wired, os audiophiles go for wired headphones I guess (at least I do)
@@itsmrdante6274 Yeah, I'm sticking with my wired earbuds most of the time because of the mics
I bought these 2 months ago and love them!! Definitively the best true wireless earbuds to date.
.... Until recently, I just got curious about another earbuds, the Anker Liberty 2, which I bought from Best Buy when it was on sales for $89.
Here's the fun part. The battery life on these 2 pairs are the same. The battery life on both charging cases are the same. Both got USB-C and magnetically hold the buds for more security. But, the Liberty 2 case is half the size of the XM3 case. Therefore, the reason for having extra battery may not relate to why Sony use a bigger case after all.
Another fun part is that even though the XM3 has noise-canceling but when I tested them side by side, the Liberty 2 can block just about as much noise with only passive noise isolation. And that with just provided silicon tips. When I used comply foam with the Liberty 2, everything seems to disappear.
Sound quality is another thing. When I used the XM3 for the first time, I was so impressed because it sounded almost as good as my old Bose Sound Sport Free. Unfortunately for Bose SSF tho, it doesn't conceal any surrounding noise at all so a lot of times I couldn't hear it and that's why I started to use the XM3 more. But, with Liberty 2, I've just found another pair that can truly surpass Bose in term of sound quality. The bass of the Liberty 2 is just out of this world. I felt like I was carrying a subwoofer in my ear. The mid and high are very clear I can feel all the instruments and vocal pushing forward.
One more thing that I like is that both these earbuds can be used independently between left or right buds. I love this feature so much because I'm always feel more comfortable with my left ear more than my right. Unfortunately, all true wireless earbuds from last year only use right bud for master so I couldn't use the left side by itself. Now, I have the XM3 and liberty 2 for that.
One thing missing from the Liberty 2, however, is transparency mode. In order to hear the surrounding properly, I have to take one earbud out. Not so convenient compare to the XM3. But at the same time, the XM3 is not waterproof while the Liberty 2 has IPX5 rating so it's better for gym. Nothing's perfect I suppose.
In the end, I still love my Sony XM3. But if anybody asked me now, I'd ask them whether or not the noise-canceling and transparency mode is important to them. Otherwise, the difference between $230 and $89 for 2 very similar products is obvious.
I’d like to see your take on a comparison between these and the AirPod Pro.
These are so awesome. But if I were wearing them, I would be terrified.
See, the other day I was just taking off my anti winter stuff on my head and one of my earbuds fell out and landed on the street, just as the uber arrived. Nonsense like that actually happens very often (them popping out and me trying to grab them anime ninja style)
It's one thing if I broke or lost an 80 dollar ear bud. If I lost a half of the WF1000X M3 I would be upset.
Other than that, I really do want these. But for the same price you could buy two sets of very decent earbuds and have 24/7 ear bud listening bliss. For the "average consumer" i think the idea of listening to music all day long without waiting for charge time is going to win out at the end
For sec I thought they are made by duracell.
Black and copper.
I got these for like 2 months now, I have to say that you are right. But when they have some sort of a bug and you take out the earphones out the case, put them in the ear, put away the case and they say they're on, but one of them won't play audio until you restart it by putting it in to the case... I mean, that's really painful.
Love ear buds/headphones! The Sony M3’s are fantastic. Great features/fit/sound. Best ear buds I’ve found
