Not really giving back to the community by building an ultra exclusive private golf course that the large majority of people could never afford nor would they ever have the chance to play.
Crazy how he visualizes courses. LEGEND
For what it cost to do, I bet you could buy Scotland!
Guess Jack is racist, didn't see one black person working on a crew there. LOL
Amazing that off the top of his head he can recite exactly what he did to each hole and why.
It’s kind of like reciting how and why you remodeled every room of your house. That course is his baby. Haha
PGA Tour, this is hands down the best UA-cam content you’ve published! Thank you!
⛳️🏌🏽♂️❤️
The legend of Jack Nicklaus continues... Nice piece, thanks for sharing, cheers to a great 2021 tournament.
Arnold Palmer designed my local country club, he went all out and was actually quite mean on some of the holes Lol
Yes, I’ve played a couple Arnie designs. The Bog and Geneva Nat’l. He had a mean streak!
The fact Jack still has a passion for designing courses and this being his masterpiece is something special.
Dang, Jack getting on up in age. 😟
Ball entering the hazard at exactly 9:32 . Pause and look at the very edge, a touch to the left from exactly the middle of the tree and the left side of the screen! LMAO!
Lol, that course looks so hard. I’m guessing that water ball was someone chipping up and not getting it close 😂
The tournament has raised a lot of $ for charity and that's great. But I'm kind of curious why even post this video about the redesign if the course isn't even public? 99% of people couldn't go and experience the changes even if they wanted to? We watch the tournament but that's all really lol
It’s to hype up the tournament tomorrow
And yet here you are, clicking on it and even writing a post about it. That’s why. Pretty simple.
You're not wrong.
Who presented the Memorial Tournament? I missed that part.
but it's a private course.... average joe cant play
: ( i know, sucks, id pay 100 bucks to play, at least 9!
@@Zug75 $100 might pay for your parking.
That is a stunning course! Would love to be able to play it some day.
Give the grounds crew a raise and some of that ice cream
Nice piece...the ball in the hazard at 9:32 was marvelous
You have super vision to catch that lmao
I cant see it wow
@@sharpmatt229I'm surprised to catch it myself.. especially B roll like that
@@sadminer1339 whoever hit it missed way short right and starts its roll about 9:30
@@mac100percent 😂
Amazing what you can do with a crew of 80 working 100+ hours a week for 8 months straight and an unlimited budget. Ruins the industry for the rest of us, but hey, it sure looks great.
09:30 somebody hit the ball into the water lol
I think it's presented by Nationwide.
Jon Rahm should’ve won twice man it just sucks to see him get withdrawn😪
"Let's penalize good shots."
right? im tired of seeing 20- plus scores each tournament its ridiculous. like -10 us open scores, those should be around E.
Played Nicklaus North in Whistler. It was surprisingly bland.
this is one of the best videos you guys ever made.
Great job....congratulations Jack and the whole team!
Why they put Augusta National ahead of Muirfield Village is beyond me. I thought Augusta, beyond the hype, was rather easy
I guess Desmond Muirhead is just erased from history despite his role in building muirfield. Jack is no GCA
This was great! BUT - Jackie said they didn't make it harder just better. So, when Bryson and the other big hitters bomb it out there and make it look obsolete with today's ball and clubs - like so many of the other great courses on tour - what's Jack going to do then?
I’ve played several Nicklaus courses around the world all completely playable whatever your ability 🏌🏻♂️👌👍
$200,000 per annum who said golf was elitest, can you imagine how bad the members are lol
THE WORST
What do you mean
You are lucky Tiger has health problems or else he'd have more major wins.
Wow congrats to the labourers, operators, managers and everyone else. Looks amazing.
too bad it's only for the rich. but i love watching this tourney, because of the course
Jack Nicklaus is doing a good job for this golf course design at marlfed Village country club is a great golfer
Thanks. I really enjoyed this. Jack is as brilliant a golf course designer, and tinkerer, as he was a player. But his legacy, for me, won't be the courses he built. It will be the game he built. Thanks Jack 👍
Thanks, Jack, for giving us such a great gem in Ohio.
9:31 where all my balls usually end up lying when hitting next to water
The GOAT.
Another golf course I will never get to experience.
The man hit the pin with a 1 iron into a 30 mph cross wind - redesign a masterpiece and make it better? Hold my 6 green jackets.....
That 1 iron was amazing! #Pebble
Hole 15 they didn't put the par or the length. Only know its a 5 because of how Jack talks about it. Might want to edit it in.
its gonna play a lot shorter than it used too b/c they took 18ft off the hill. was straight uphill from the tee and now its not as bad so they will be going for it in 2 a lot more
Maybe a dumb question but is this course open to the public?
Legend
PoaCure is the latest and greatest to remove all poa
All that sod just thrown away. Oh well.
Barbara and Jack are national treasures
So you must be an elitist to play this course ?
Did he redesign the course for pros or joes?
9:32 EASTER EGG!!!!!!
KERPLUNK!
the sad part is seeing your heros from the 60s 70s 80s getting old the GREATEST MODERN GOLFER OF ALL TIME
Cool video.
Good stuff.💪👍🥃
I'm surprised he allowed a title sponsor after seeing how much he cares about the tournament. Feels like it would hold more prestige otherwise.
Nationwide? They have sponsored the tournament for a while. Jack and Nationwide have a deal and he literally invested lots of money for hospital equipment for the nationwide children's hospital right by his course.
Thank you GOD for Creating such a Magnificent man.
Please Bless Jack and his family for years to come,
All to Your Glory ‘
Amen
Golf course design is so easy
9:30 someone's in the water
I respect his achievements as a player, he is the goat, but his course designs suck. I am really sorry to say this, but I played Kilada in Greece, Lärchenhof in Germany and mar menor in Spain. They are all really expensive and snobby, cause it’s a Nicklaus, but they are soulless and lack unique ideas at the same time, cause they feel like they were just bought off the Nicklaus design team catalogue from rich localinvestors.

lol nice
Nice to have money....

We love you Jack Nicklaus! What amazing moments you gave us! Now, when you going to let a poor old mulato boy play golf with you at Muirfield Village, Jack?
Jack may not be with us much longer. You never know. The Memorial may not be a major, but it should be the sixth. Certainly after he is no longer with us, as a "memorial" to the greatest golfer to ever wield a club.
Even though he has made so many great courses he is still one of the most if not the most underrated course designer
Are you serious? The only courses that stand out are his co designs
Harbor town with Pete Dye
Sebonak with Doak
And Muirfield with Desmond Muirhead.
Jack doesn’t design or build courses his associates design them on a drafting table and contractors build it. Jack cuts ribbons and takes pictures standing on the course with plans while he points
@@31mbur I have played at least 5 great Jack Nicklaus courses and wouldn’t you think Jack would have some knowledge on building courses judging that he is one of the best golfers ever. And plus you can’t just assume it’s all fake that doesn’t make any sense.
@@31mbur Valhalla, Cabo del sol, Geneva national?
I started playing golf in 1972 when Nicklaus was the goat. I modeled my swing after his(found out later I didn't have the athleticism to pull it off). I am huge fan of this man not only as a golfer but as a human being. Jack has always been just like you see him in this video. Thankfully we have the technology these days to get a more intimate glimpse of how this man works his magic. It's instinctual, he really doesn't even have to think it about that hard. It just flows out of him. His on course game was different though. Jack had the most intense concentration of any player I've ever seen. He literally had an ability to think himself into "The Zone".
15:15 atta boy brooksy
Love you Jack!
I wish I was privileged to have Jack Nicklaus bend my ear. Of course Lee Trevino and Gary player would be a great addition.
Jack is a busy man.
Lovely course. I saw Jack play at Congressional. I have the great pleasure of having a signed letter from him.
What is a Plania?
Growing up here and knowing the course pretty well, to see the graphics of the changes over what it used to be has to be one of the coolest ways to show it. Can't wait to walk it tomorrow and over the weekend! Wish I was playing!
I think the 16th will now play similar to the 16th at Augusta where they send it past the hole and bring in back on the slope. Gonna be sick
Very lucky to be able to go there 👍🏌️♀️⛳️
I live right next to it but I don’t have tickets :(
Glad #12 was left alone. Got to caddy there in the early 80s . . . on the CC course! The Big Course was a different story.
Dude is still the man
jack's company did my little course here in n.e. okla. it's time for its redo. if anyone is listening give me a buzz
9:31 the absolute perfect video of a ball trickling back into the water.
I don’t know how to play golf but the course is beautiful. The fairways and greens look awesome.

After playing his Coyote Springs course, Bear’s Best and multiple other courses designed by the Golden Bear here in Las Vegas, this gives me such a great respect for the challenge that each of those courses offer and how different they all are but signature to Jack. This was awesome.
It’s actually more about the dirt work that fascinates me. The building part
The GOAT!
GOAT-EST!
If Mozart went into piano design, you would think this guy know what a piano should sound like. A master.
Who would down vote this?? He’s the penultimate legend at work.
The best of all time ! very nice job Mr. Nicklaus very nice
Is the memorial tournament presented by nationwide?
Free handing the design is amazing. I like the spontaneity. Genius needs no planning.
A legend of the game, who truly lives and breathes it every single time he is out there. That course looks absolutely incredible.
This was great! Now please post more full final rounds!!
Man, we wore baggy cloths in the 2000s
He started the redesign during last year's tournament.
Thank God I'm not working that tournament
Does he have a degree as an architect? Just curious.
Great video, it's nice to see behind the scenes content, keep it coming!
Awesome video! Love hearing Jack's ideas and thinking behind the redesign. 👍🏼
Hey
It's amazing how big these projects are for these courses
One of the best golfers ever (Along with Tiger, Arnold, and Ben)

@@dylansomma861 Who do you think are the Best golfers ever?
18 majors give him the best career ever. At their peaks, I think both Tiger and Ben Hogan were more dominant golfers but for much shorter periods of time.

Its always a joy to see the art but being the artist is a greater joy.
God bless you Jack!

giving back to the community. LOL. on a private 200k year fee club. Really giving back to the community.... tone deaf, about right for golf.
Is it presented by Nationwide though?
Hey
I was watching this on tv
