After playing his Coyote Springs course, Bear’s Best and multiple other courses designed by the Golden Bear here in Las Vegas, this gives me such a great respect for the challenge that each of those courses offer and how different they all are but signature to Jack. This was awesome.
I started playing golf in 1972 when Nicklaus was the goat. I modeled my swing after his(found out later I didn't have the athleticism to pull it off). I am huge fan of this man not only as a golfer but as a human being. Jack has always been just like you see him in this video. Thankfully we have the technology these days to get a more intimate glimpse of how this man works his magic. It's instinctual, he really doesn't even have to think it about that hard. It just flows out of him. His on course game was different though. Jack had the most intense concentration of any player I've ever seen. He literally had an ability to think himself into "The Zone".
Ball entering the hazard at exactly 9:32 . Pause and look at the very edge, a touch to the left from exactly the middle of the tree and the left side of the screen! LMAO!
Are you serious? The only courses that stand out are his co designs Harbor town with Pete Dye Sebonak with Doak And Muirfield with Desmond Muirhead. Jack doesn’t design or build courses his associates design them on a drafting table and contractors build it. Jack cuts ribbons and takes pictures standing on the course with plans while he points
@@31mbur I have played at least 5 great Jack Nicklaus courses and wouldn’t you think Jack would have some knowledge on building courses judging that he is one of the best golfers ever. And plus you can’t just assume it’s all fake that doesn’t make any sense.
Thanks. I really enjoyed this. Jack is as brilliant a golf course designer, and tinkerer, as he was a player. But his legacy, for me, won't be the courses he built. It will be the game he built. Thanks Jack 👍
18 majors give him the best career ever. At their peaks, I think both Tiger and Ben Hogan were more dominant golfers but for much shorter periods of time.
Jack: proceeds to list 1000 changes to the course Also Jack: outside of that, I didn't make any changes to the course 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you, Jack. For who you are. Your parents raised a good one and you continued to grow into one of the finest sports figures, ever. Proud to be a part of a sport with a human as fine as you. Can't wait to see how the extra pin locations on many of the greens shake it up. That's such a problem at other courses and I was happy to see you take extra care in creating variety.
Nationwide? They have sponsored the tournament for a while. Jack and Nationwide have a deal and he literally invested lots of money for hospital equipment for the nationwide children's hospital right by his course.
Not really giving back to the community by building an ultra exclusive private golf course that the large majority of people could never afford nor would they ever have the chance to play.
The tournament has raised a lot of $ for charity and that's great. But I'm kind of curious why even post this video about the redesign if the course isn't even public? 99% of people couldn't go and experience the changes even if they wanted to? We watch the tournament but that's all really lol
We love you Jack Nicklaus! What amazing moments you gave us! Now, when you going to let a poor old mulato boy play golf with you at Muirfield Village, Jack?
This was great! BUT - Jackie said they didn't make it harder just better. So, when Bryson and the other big hitters bomb it out there and make it look obsolete with today's ball and clubs - like so many of the other great courses on tour - what's Jack going to do then?
Amazing what you can do with a crew of 80 working 100+ hours a week for 8 months straight and an unlimited budget. Ruins the industry for the rest of us, but hey, it sure looks great.
Jack may not be with us much longer. You never know. The Memorial may not be a major, but it should be the sixth. Certainly after he is no longer with us, as a "memorial" to the greatest golfer to ever wield a club.
Crazy how he visualizes courses. LEGEND
The fact Jack still has a passion for designing courses and this being his masterpiece is something special.
The legend of Jack Nicklaus continues... Nice piece, thanks for sharing, cheers to a great 2021 tournament.
Wow congrats to the labourers, operators, managers and everyone else. Looks amazing.
That is a stunning course! Would love to be able to play it some day.

Its always a joy to see the art but being the artist is a greater joy.
The best of all time ! very nice job Mr. Nicklaus very nice
Amazing that off the top of his head he can recite exactly what he did to each hole and why.
It’s kind of like reciting how and why you remodeled every room of your house. That course is his baby. Haha
Thanks, Jack, for giving us such a great gem in Ohio.

Arnold Palmer designed my local country club, he went all out and was actually quite mean on some of the holes Lol

If Mozart went into piano design, you would think this guy know what a piano should sound like. A master.
I'm surprised he allowed a title sponsor after seeing how much he cares about the tournament. Feels like it would hold more prestige otherwise.
