Her eye was swollen and her voice was affected. Yehyeon was originally not gonna perform with them but then she decided that she could do it and honestly she sounded really good considering the fact that she was sick.

I don't think she was sick or anything but I'm pretty sure the production team were using pitch correctors to make their voices sound better. It wasn't just this performance and you can hear it when other contestants sing.

Also am I the only one finding the "global" part of this project laughable? Like global where??? One girl from Europe out of 82 girls, no West African girls, no South Asian girls, a handful of SEA contestants and a buncha east Asians. If we're talking global, you bet imma be expecting girls from every continent. Different colours, different races. Some global DIVERSITY. Global is a BIG term to be promising the public. What makes it even more laughable is that they korean-wash every girls' visuals so they look even less diverse and just fit Korean beauty visuals. At least let some melanin shine through the darker skinned girl's 💀 They shoulda just called this a multi Asian kpop girl group project rather than "global"....
