My favorite Persona summoning technique has got to be the Persona 4 card crushing. Back when I was a lil younger when the game came out, it didn't really make much sense to me, but as I get older, the themes and motifs of Persona 4 of accepting one's true self identified with me more than the other 2 (and I guess 4 but striking a pose in the earlier games is kinda boring.) I also like how the Arcana is incorporated more into the gameplay and presentation in both the original and Golden to match the themes as well.
"PERSONA!" *breaks a mirrors* If this will be true, they have to add a quote about how breaking the mirror is bad luck. Maybe Persona 6 will have something to do with luck?
I think the idea for mirrors to be the summoning method to be pretty cool, but how would that work in battle? Does a big mirror appear in front of them and they punch it? I don't know how exactly that could be visualized everytime they summon their persona (while still looking at least somewhat cool)
When mirrors where backed with silver a recursive reflection subtly shifted towards green. There is also the "black and white", "sibling MCs" and more fluid timescale rumor things. I can see it honestly.

I think this may be the best prediction of the summoning method considering the whole black and white theme (mirror versions of something) so mirrors would be perfect. I would love the mirror thing to apply to how their beautiful forms vs their mundane form get applied to their bodies like how Persona 5 uses fire P6 could have a mirror passing over them leaving them with their other world attire
It's is wird the idea of braking mirrors, considering they will be artists. I thought maybe they could paint their persona to summon them kinda like pictomancy, making art part of the reality... im an artist myself, and I think this would make more sense. Just think what artists do. Art is part of expressing oneself in life, and with art, we can also express what we cannot in life too, we can create fantasy, the reality we want and desire, and we can even change the world with it.
I have heard a leak that this game would have a focus on creators such as musicians. Call me crazy but what if the main characters summon personas using a unique instrument and are all part of some sort of band? It could provide some excuse to the larger world as to why they would be together all the time and give them an excuse to disappear while fighting shadows. Maybe the wild card protagonist, can have a song book which unlocks more pages depending on their social links/ confidants, and maybe even unlock more songs which could be played during battle.
How I thought it could work was a pendent. Each Party would have pendent to house there Persona. And the protagonist(s) would have multiple in the pendent. Then they can release when they want from it.
Persona 3 has the coolest and best summoning system. To me its the character conquring there fears and fear of death. Aka the moment you stop fearing death you truly start living. Thats my interpretation anyway.

It's just me but Inaba reminds me a lot of Morioh in Jojo, same vibe. So, according to the recent leaks about Yokohama and the monopoly games maybe Persona 6 will take place in the alternative Morioh in Jojolion 'cause the vibe match perfectly with the Yokohama Monopoly. I know this sounds crazy but I think I'm not the only one who found similarities between Jojo Bizzare Adventure and Persona. What do (everyone ) you think ?

A cool idea would be hand signs like a summoning jutsu from Naruto. One hand sign for each arcana but World Arcana requires the user to make 21 hand signs before summoning.
if p6 is art themed i think they summon by painting/ drawing their personas. maybe each character using a different medium. a pad and pen a paint brush spray paint etc maybe even something more out of the box like origami
Here’s a new theory: summoning your persona with Gambling (dice roll, card deal, slot machine, etc) could be an interesting commentary on luck or accepting things you can’t control. Maybe every character could have a different gamble!
what if they’re bestowed jewelry for their persona summons? they break a mirror and a piece of the shard is put into jewelry. my personal favorite summoning system is p3 and p5
I mean in persona 4 yu summons his cards by playing yu-gi-oh Makoto summons his persona by playing Russian roulette and Akira or Ren or joker summons his persona by ripping his face off I think that for persona 6 they will just use paint buckets like I can just imagine like "persona!" and it's just them splashing themselves with a bucket lol.
How about keys? They could be associated with "opening up" and so showing true self. They are small and could be used multiple times (Yes, pretty much I see the scene from KH1 where Sora gives big smile and stabs himself with keyblade to free heart)
I like to think the theming will be a mix of luck (like another comment said), and redeeming yourself and owning up to your mistakes, so, what did I think?: *LETS GO GAMBLING!!!!!!!!!!!!* Basically, the character pulls out a coin, and flips it, it'll always be heads (cause we are NOT doing persona attacks a 50/50), and once it's done, maybe the coin disolves into sand?
My only thing with the mirror idea is, how are they going to do that? Are they just going to carry a mirror around? Persona 3 and 5 worked because Evokers and Masks were a part of everyone’s designs, while 4 had them summoning their tarot cards

I think they're gonna use an item called Evoltruster or Darkevolver to summon their Persona but except they never scream PERSONA until the final boss.
