- Part 1 of The Call of Cthulhu by H. P. Lovecraft, read by Fredrik Knudsen (me) with music by Ryan Garside, who also did the music for The Grimm Archives.

I would love people's thoughts on making audiobooks a permanent, intermittent fixture of the channel.
Fredrik Knudsen sounds good. Maybe do some short stories too where you don't have to split them up.
Idk if it's just me, but if you split them up into ~10 minute chunks and release them more frequently, I would be more likely to watch/listen.
Keep up the great work!
Meh. Do what you want i don't really care. I'll check it out either way.
Yes, all of the Lovecraft Audiobooks. Keep at it.
Definitely. I think audiobooks would fit nicely into a channel providing mainly narrative content.
As an avid Lovecraft fan I would love to see more of these. Though with audio books I enjoy having the whole thing in one long video.
I would love for these readings to be a permanent thing. I often re-watch your videos since they are usually a calming experience for me, no matter the subject and no matter how many times I watch/listen.
Awwh, this made my heart leap.
Fredrik Knudsen I hope you enjoy making your videos as much as I enjoy watching them.
I really wish he’d do a second part of this
In the mean time, Horrorbabble puts their readings up on UA-cam, and I really like how Ian Gordon reads Lovecraft.

The one and only part apparently
He might’ve been one hella racist bastard, but Lovecraft sure knew how to set up a foreboding, unimaginably terrifying tale
when will part 2 come out?? ;-;
@@Mike-ff9ji Seems like it
@@Andrew-hk8qi maybe
One of these days
Any minute now....
2 years later
Awesome. Always liked to read and/or listen to Call of Cthulhu and hearing you read it is certainly a good listen.
I wouldn't mind if this would become a permanent addition to the channel - my only regret would be not to be able to subscribe a second time.
Please do more, this is one of the better audio I heard of the call of Chtulhu.
I NEEEED PART TWOOOOO!!!!
Please do more of these! Very good
Id love to see this be a continuing thing, lots of books out there i wouldn't read... but would happily listen to them while driving.
Good shit right here
In years when you have a million subs and a much more badass, deep voice it would be cool to see a throwback to this reading. ;)
more please
Inkly you're kawaii aren't you
Please make more! I use these to go to sleep at night
Are you thinking of doing a part two? Now that your channel is more well-established, your voice has an immediate association with the noir-like investigations you do. Would suit more Lovecraft readings well.
Where's the rest? This is great! I love your DTRH's, and was delighted to find this. (Why don't you have a playlist for it?) You have a great voice and passion for these reads. Please do more!
Damn bro this is 🔥🔥🔥
I'm liking it so far.
I'd love to see more of these! I understand they pull fewer views though which is unfortunate
The cthulhu mythos is simply amazing.
Your face is so familiar its crazy
I love your voice for this reading please do part 2
Sooo..... are you gonna do some more audio books? i love listening to your stuff on the way to work and would defiantly love to hear your reading more books
Where's our part 2
Btw, i do remember the book in which i read th Story of Tobit. Its by English author Sally Vickers & calld Miss ( cant remember name) ..... Angel but typing in a google search of author Sally Vickers will give u correct book title ( th book itself is so so so good, unusual & haunting in a ' longing for something so elusive ' kind of way i recommend it greatly. It lifts th spirit. Its not a ghost story, like i said, its much more elusive& ephemeral yet stays wth u for ever. Plus its not a huge tome & can be read in 1 or 2 sittings)
Ooh, good old Lovecraft and his innocent racism. Do a reading of Rats in the walls too, it'd be a hoot to hear you utter the protagonist's favourite cat's name in that professional voice of yours.
please do more.
I assumed you were Danish due to your name, and pronunciation in other videos, but your pronunciation of your own name in this video made me doubt that. Could you set me straight? Are you actually a native English speaker with a Danish name?
I was born and raised in America, I'm a native English speaker, but my name is Norwegian.
Okay :-) Well Norwegian is just Danish with a few typos anyway :-P
Love your narration by the way. I've been listening to a lot of audio books lately, you are are just as good as many of those in my opinion, keep up the good work!
Haha, thanks! It's super encouraging to hear.
hey, that's pretty good.

Would love some more audiobook readings
Your voice fits this beautifully! And the music with it feels so eerie yet relaxing
Please do more of these!
I think you'd have to take the time to do an entire book reading to get more attention, imo. I personally like to leave an audiobook on while I sleep
So if ths part 1 was 3 yrs ago did Mr Knudsen ever do said other parts? I would def have listened to them as i do indeed like th calibre of this young chaps voice. Also i noticed Mr K's animator is called Ben Tobitt, have you ever thought of telling th Wonderful story of Tobit? I read it yrs ago & was entranced. Im not sure if ths bit is true (as it was in th book i read stated) somewhere in Venice Italy, There is a very old church wth a .magnificent & very unusual church organ wth th painted rendition of th Story of Tobit. True or not, it doesnt detract fr th wonferful mysterious Tobit story, even after 20 yrs of reading ths story i think of it often. Esp th name of th angel ( now forgive me here as i cant remember th correct spelling of ths name only th sound that i believed it pronounced) shraiosher - sh ray o sha. I will ofter repeat that name like a mantra, eyes closed, & it begins to sound like sussuration of th sea on th shore & a gentle breeze wth far off call of seabirds. I always feel so calm after doing ths. I know not if ths is what u r supposed to do but i loved saying that name word so much it just seemed a natural thing to do, SHHH RAYY OHHH SHHHAA! anyway do try & read the Story of Tobit im sure u will agree its pretty amazing. Btw think its an ancient hebraic story let me know what u think, cheers
Please continue doing this.

Isn't this illegal?
Lovecraft's works are a legal grey area, but most of the stories themselves are in the public domain, including this one.
I assume that's because he published most of them anonimously, right?
+CIA 4U: He took credit for his work, but almost all of it was published in the 20s and 30s.
Ah, I see.
Fredrik Knudsen Oh yes, just searched Lovecraft on amazon and most of his stories are free to download on kindle :) keep up with the good work Sonny Jim, I love this channel.
It's pronounced Or-lens, NOT Or-leens.
@3ds max yeah, especially since as a Native she should know its pronounced "Nawlins" ... backwoods bayou bog-trotter XD
Call me wetiko ;3
Would've been more interested in the books if Lovecraft wasn't such a blatent racist degenerate in them. The RPG is fun though.
Cry more.
Less than 3 minutes in and it’s already racist ;(
Part 2 please
