I'm all for rehabilitation and second chance on some cases like that one kid who finally snapped from continued verbal and physical abuse from his own mother. He didn't blame anyone or give an excuse, he went to his best friend's house and confessed what he did ,then turned himself in and didn't harm other innocent people. Yeah it should be clear to most people who is the former and who is the latter. This guy never expressed remorse, for any of his crimes, never showed signs of wanting to live a life free of crime, reoffended multiple times, and yet still was allowed to walk free in society. When you're the justice system and you have people's lives literally in your hands, you can't be making those kinds of mistakes. But then there're cases where it's hard to tell. How to tell between the genuinely reformed that committed an act in a fit of rage, completely out of character for them, and whose expressions of remorse are authentic, and they actually live up to their word that they'll never do anything like that again. As apposed to someone who is skilled at manipulation and can do all of that and convince at least some people that they are in fact rehabilitated and no longer a danger a society, only to then reoffend sometimes in an even worse way then before. I suppose that's what parole is for. Incompetent parole officers though, exist. This guy was never even paroled was he? Big oops obviously. Just giving someone an ankle bracelet and trusting them to not commit crimes seems to actually work, most of the time, but it naturally can't work, all of the time. Not to defend the justice system, I think they have a lot to answer for, but tighter controls on the more violent offenders seems to go without saying

I had a friend who smashed a window during class. The teacher was a bit of a bully. So my friend picked up a chair, threw it at him, missed, broke a window, then ran away naked. I should note, these were special needs classes. He's a lot better now, actually came out of a different school with awesome qualifications. Did better than I did, and I never broke any windows or got naked at school. XD
from one source.... they were saying that this killer didnt target the sisters initially. when he stole from the pachinko parlour, he got caught by gang members and beaten up. he wanted revenge by hitting the gang members hideout which is within the building as the sisters, by messing with the power supply and rob them. at the time when he tried to figure out which switch to turn off at the fusebox located near the staircase, one of the victim accidently saw him while she walked pass. not wanting to leave any witness (which could result severe repercussion from gang members if they ever find out), killer followed the girl home and murdered them. a little extra info.
It seems a lot of these crimes in Japan do not hold very strong sentences for extreme violence. Examples would be Issei Miyake and all of the people involved in Junko Furuta's torture for 44 days and horrendous murder. There were even around 100 people that knew that poor girl was bring tortured and none of them got in trouble at all. The murderers didn't even get much time. The anime girl he did the story on got like 5 years for a horrible attempted murder. So weird. No consequences at all unless their prisons are the worst in the world which I doubt.
Love your channel. I know the stories are gruesome but you present them with so much respect! We need to hear these stories if for no other reason than to recognize and arm ourselves against such people!
Idk. I feel really bad for the murderer. It seems he had serious mental health issues from a young age, an alcoholic father and a horrible family life. He obviously needed help and his family wasn't there for him. When he was released back into society he was once again alone with no help from even a Court appointed therapist. What did the Courts think was going to happen? What he did was to he sisters was awful. I still feel bad for what he went through.
I live in japan and have noticed that majority of teens or preteens that commit crimes related to killing someone end up in reform schools, reform schools are bullshit when a life has been taken, 6 months to a year in reform school doesn’t change the fact that someone has been killed, as advanced as japan may seem they still don’t have great laws for killers, so many people have gone to reform schools and may have changed but the family’s of the victims are still suffering and want justice it’s so unfair that their son or daughter may never return but the person that killed their child is walking free living a great life even their identity isn’t released and kept secret which is also bullshit just wanted to tell you because it’s actually true here in japan
I am shocked at the lack of "Punisher" style revenge stories coming from countries like Japan and Korea where the laws for Juvenile reform are too lax leading too messed up situations such as this story. The Junko Furuta case for example, if that happened to someone's child in the USA especially South Eastern area the monsters (AKA perpetrators) would literally be hunted by the parents and/or a community member. If more juvenile monsters at the very least feared the communities sense of justice more than the law they wouldn't commit such atrocities except for very rare cases. I saw a kid probably 15 at the time almost get shot for sexually assaulting the daughter of a man I know. Sexual assault is always bad but there are degrees of it and this was not even close to as serious as some of these cases, though still far from okay forcefully kissing, grabbing her butt, and attempting to grab her breast without consent leading to a situation where I literally saw him piss himself crying screaming and begging to live in front of about 6 people. It may have been a bit to far watching an 40-50 year old do that to a 15 year old but he's lucky he was not attacked by people who were paid to do so and just had a gun pulled out, he did not even have the barrel pressed on his temple (which can be terrifying) or pointed directly at him. I know I probably come off as a dumb redneck saying guns will solve it lol though it stopped the kid from going further later down the line so he maintained his humanity and 5 years later he beat the hell out of another guy for attempting to do what he had done in the past. Sorry for my idiotic ramblings I am tired at the moment, hope you at least enjoyed my story.
This was eye opening regarding misconceptions around Japan. I’ve always understood Japan to have one of the harshest penal systems with 90%+ trials ending in conviction. I guess he was a minor when he killed his mother & minors are treated differently. Still, three years is nothing. If he did that in the US at 15, he would have been tried as an adult. Also, I did not know school is only mandatory until middle school w/high school being optional in Japan.
Look up the Nevada-tan case. She killed a classmate, she's been given a new name and since her name was never released to the public, she just started a new life
I thought Japan wasn’t that bad? I mean, more like the US where a lot of stuff isn’t as good as the rest of the developed world but still isn’t like 90% trials ending in convictions. That’s like, something obvious and big is wrong, comparable to a third world country where political dissidents are jailed or the prisons are just brutal dirt floor dumps or society at large is thoroughly corrupt. I would actually figure they’d probably be a bit more open to psychological rehab than the US where punishment is the top priority regardless of impact.
@@fromthefire4176 No, its just that in Japan, they don't go to trial at all unless they're very confident they're likely to convict. That's how the legal system is there.

If there's no remorse and no indication of "being a better person"/ healed, or certainty of being a mentally and emotionally stable person.. He should not have been let out.. scary.. Great video, Thank You 🖤
Wow, this was horrific. So many disturbing cases in Japan have been committed by "minors" who get treated with outrageous leniency and confidentiality, so are able to crawl back into society after the briefest of stays in institutions. Aside from all the victims and their families, I also felt kind of sorry for this monster's lawyers....imagine trying to find a shred of humanity and remorse in this shell of a being.
I've always viewed the death penalty as the more desirable alternative between a life or death sentence for the criminals. Instead of them having to rot away in prison for the rest of their life and think about what they did they get the quick and easy way out. If it was me I'd much rather die than spend the rest of my life in prison. I never understood why people see the death penalty as more of a punishment.
TOTALLY UNFAIR... THEY SEND PEOPLE TO 1 YEAR OF FORCED LABOUR JAIL BECAUSE OF A SINGLE JOINT ROACH... BUT RELEASE A SERIAL KILLER IN 3... THEY PARDONED A CORRUPT POLITICIAN WHO WAS STEALING 30% OF PUBLIC SERVANTS SALARY UNDER THREAT OF BEING FIRED, CAUSE SHE CRIED AND SHOWED REGRET... THERE'S A CANNIBAL KILLER UNPUNISHED IN JAPAN, CAUSE HE COMMITTED HIS CRIME IN FRANCE AND THE VICTIM WAS A NON JAPANESE PERSON. It's just concern on my part. Read no more or less into it. Good luck kid.
To be honest, I think Yukio is a victim of poor life circumstances, and a failed rehabilitation system. I’m not justifying his actions (because his crimes are horrific in every way), but I’d like everyone to consider his circumstances. He had untreated Aspergers from his adolescence, he was raised by his mom, who could barely support him while also being emotionally abused by her (not to mention he had to deal with the aftermath of his father). I’d say the biggest thing that could have been done differently to prevent his future crimes was an actual affective rehabilitation system that not only would rehabilitate him, but set him up with housing and an occupation/career rather than essentially dumping him on the streets not to learn from his circumstances. Yukio is not innocent, but the rehabilitation system failed not only him, but also the victims of his crimes after his initial release. If anything can be learned from his life it’s that the rehabilitation system needs to be reformed.
@@brendandarkside1207 I’m not saying there is, but to be fair untreated and undiagnosed Aspergers can lead to a lot more mental problems growing up. Not to mention the poor conditions he was living under with his mom after the death of his father. He lived trauma, and I believe the Aspergers made it difficult for him to properly experience and healthily deal with that.
After hearing so many young people killing even their loved ones not even for a financial gains makes me think that there is such thing as a criminal mind...
unfortunately, some people are just born that way. some of them can be appeased to and cultivated into at least a shell of a person that can find some kind of logical positive meaning for their existence, but some of them understandably don't bother and try the hardest extremes they can find just to feel anything at all. even this dude's public defense attorney was depressed about how much this guy just didnt feel anything. to play devil's advocate, that still really fucking sucks dude.

kid was unhappy at home, lost his dad, mom has to work all the time, constantly in fear of hunger and homelessness, couldn't pursue a normal childhood, was groomed by an adult...he needed psychiatrists and mental help. throwing him back into that situation with no parole, mandated therapy, etc is ridiculous. I also dont think id ever release someone who has no guilt either, he needed much longer and extensive help. rehabilitation is a good idea but never done well
What I don't understand about this case is that that attack must not have been silent and, frankly, these flats in Japan have next-to-paper thin walls. I live here, and had to move due to it, so if my neighbour had been attacked in such a way, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have heard. Like, wtf. Call. The. Police. But, in all honesty, likely the police wouldn't have come, based my own and my mates' (Japanese and non-Japanese) experience. But still! Do SOMETHING. So, so sad. Rest in peace, ladies. 🙏

@@pleaseshutup7053 Not only them. In Japan even older folk get let off the hook constantly. In the news there’s stuff of guys doing something nasty stuff and only getting 4 years. It’s a complete joke there
Rest in peace Asuka and Chihiro Uehara and Yukio's mother.🙏
Your channel couldn't be better bro your style is very unique and I can see and hear a genuine passion to cover the cases you do. Please don't quit this grind bro, cuz you are killin it
It seems he never learned a healthy way to interact with the opposite sex. As a child when he constantly had conflict with girls nobody blinked an eye as they were probably thinking, he's just a kid. But that was the first red flag, the older woman was the 2nd, killing his mother was the 3rd... Why in the hell did they let him out?!? Those girls paid the ultimate price because someone thought he deserved another chance...
That japanese justice system is a bigger joke than the US.
There's only 4 year difference plus over there legal age is 14 used to be 12
@@Karlalovescandy18 🤡 laugh in third world countries.
Thank you for always bringing us quality content and covering cases from around the world! It may be early but would love to see an episode about the recent TilTok killer, Ali Abulaban aka JinnKid, who killed his estranged wife and her friend, thinking she was cheating on him (although she was in the process of filing for divorce).
He looked for her couldn’t find her….. that woman had someone looking out for her.
damn these dire trip videos hit different
I've really been enjoying your new editing skills the last few videos. You're doing really well with your editing and the way you put you videos together.
I love how governments only punish people for a problem, but never attempt to fix the cause of that problem.
I very much enjoyed the Disco Eye Stick ad that I watched because I'm too poor to donate. I will watch more ads, thank you!
Another post already.
Nice one kyle. Going to settle in and watch this one.
Thank you again, genuinely.
Looking forward to.
Damn idk if his old lover got the f outta town after he killed his mom but she's so lucky he couldn't find her
Your videos are getting better one after another also covering rare case like this is a way to go.....your presentation getting better and smoother too keep up the amazing work you've had put into!
Definately one of the better crime channels out there, keep up the good word bro

Thanks Kyle! Have a great weekend! Love from Australia!🧡🦘🧡
Home boy literally said “its time to duel”
I love all your videos man!! They are all up my alley can't believe it took me this long to find this dope channel. ❤🎉
Great video. I love you companionate voice. Sometimes we listen to these stories a bit mindlessly. Your voice helps bring me into the story.
Awesome new video!
Keep up the great work! Great narration and amazing content! Your channel and All Time channels are some of the best new UA-cam channels on these type of content. I’m just happy your voice isn’t annoying lol!
LOVE this channel 😎
I will never understand Japanese law system. You have that dude who was free after 3 years for a murder, and in the mean time one of my friends was jailed for 8 months + 4 years of probation for just testing positive to marijuana... does that make any sense for anyone?
There's someone where I live where they got 3 years for a petty crime ((fighting/assault)) and another Guy here who only got 6 months for Rape, it's a freaking joke how the justice system works.
I don't get it either. They are very lax on violence.
America jails ppl for yextra years for cheap labor
Thank you Kyle!! 😻😻🙌🙌
XD
Sounds like a worthless waste of skin.
from one source.... they were saying that this killer didnt target the sisters initially.
when he stole from the pachinko parlour, he got caught by gang members and beaten up. he wanted revenge by hitting the gang members hideout which is within the building as the sisters, by messing with the power supply and rob them.
at the time when he tried to figure out which switch to turn off at the fusebox located near the staircase, one of the victim accidently saw him while she walked pass.
not wanting to leave any witness (which could result severe repercussion from gang members if they ever find out), killer followed the girl home and murdered them.
a little extra info.
Can you give a link?
Another excellent video! ❤️💪🏼..I cherish the notifications 😂😁..
On a sad note.. 3 young lives gone 😰😓💔..
Noice jacket! Glad to see your subscribers amount has picked up. I enjoy your videos, keep it up Bad Larry!
That was a fast execution I wish the US was that fast. Would save a lot of money
Love your channel!
They were too lenient with his apologies and reform. It was a breeze for him. Damn,
Justice System: "Oh man, we feel bad for this man, let's help him get better"
Also Justice System: *drops him like a sack of garbage*
Wow interesting story, may the victims rest in peace, 🙏 great video thanks 🖤
Thank you!
Love your channel ❤️
Done work on a Friday evening...no pants, glass of wine, new dire trip video. 👌🏻
Not blaming the mother but he definitely had some mother issues. Having interest for older women and also having so much hatred towards them.
I live in Japan. Great vid
0:10 = Indeed, I do! :-) Some examples I would consider, would be Bill Cosby, Karla Faye Tucker, Karla Homolka, Jon Venables, & Mary Bell.
Interesting like always
Never heard of this case before. Cool.
Another Banger
That's how the legal system is there.
dystrophic oh okay, knowing how perfectionism is such a cultural thing there, now it makes total sense lol.
Half my work was with Japanese companies for nearly a decade and I had no idea about the schooling. Now I’m going have to read more about that - thanks again.
Well.... He could've asked her out but no, he just had to stab Asuka 🥲
He was mentally handicapped he wasn't raised to deal with that.
Yeah, his brain didn't evolve past the caveman age.
Now THAT is a nice jacket dude.
I subscribed, Very good content.
If there's no remorse and no indication of "being a better person"/ healed, or certainty of being a mentally and emotionally stable person.. He should not have been let out.. scary..
Great video, Thank You 🖤
Killed his mom and only get 3......f*cking 3 years?
Welcome to Japan
Yamaji Yukio story...
This is eerily similar to Oyasumi Punpun
With the murder of a mother and him looking for "that one girl"
Wow, this was horrific. So many disturbing cases in Japan have been committed by "minors" who get treated with outrageous leniency and confidentiality, so are able to crawl back into society after the briefest of stays in institutions. Aside from all the victims and their families, I also felt kind of sorry for this monster's lawyers....imagine trying to find a shred of humanity and remorse in this shell of a being.
I really don't understand how so many redflags didn't get noticed with this guy.
not all hero's wear capes.
I like the way you dressed in this video.
Me too!😄
"Clock Work Orange" Teaches us that criminals can't be fully rehabilitated.
Japan's cases specially makes me upset and angry, because of their unfair justice system.
THEY ARRESTED A MAN FOR KIDNAPPING HIS OWN CHILDREN CAUSE THEY WERE IN JAPAN WITH HER JAPANESE MOTHER AND HE WAS NOT JAPANESE. IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER WHO WAS CAUGHT WITH DRUGS, THEY WILL ALWAYS DEPORT YOU AND YOU WILL NEVER BE ALLOWED TO COME BACK EVEN AS A TOURIST, UNLESS YOU'RE SIR PAUL MACCARTNEY OR KEITH RICHARDS... THEN OF COURSE THE LAW DOESN'T APPLY!!! ONCE I HEARD THE JAPANESE NEWS SAYING: THE JUDGE SHOULD CONSIDER THAT A RAPIST KILLER WHEN HE WAS ON THE LOOSE WORKED VERY HARD TO MAKE HIS MONEY AND THAT SHOULD REDUCE HIS SENTENCE... ALSO THE GOVERNMENT SEND MILLIONS OF STRAY CATS TO DIE IN GAS CHAMBERS LIKE AUSCHWITZ EVERY YEAR CAUSE IT'S MORE PRACTICAL... ALSO REMEMBER HISASHI OUCHI THAT WAS KEPT ALIVE FOR 83 HELLISH AGONIZING TORTURING DAYS AGAINST HIS WILL ONLY FOR ''SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENT'' REASONS... JAPAN IS FUCKING NUTS... IF U START DIGGING YOU WON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!!!
He delivered the news, he made the news
I love you ♥️ keep it up... U are amazing
I DOUBT you are going to read this. You do a very good job and even though I realize you have been doing this for several years, be careful about your mental status as you are young and the work put into these videos must, by its very essence, make you immerse in very morbid issues.
I hope you become more and more successful.
How about maybe seeing a therapist even twice a month to keep an eye on your mental health.
I'm 54 and have seen a lot of not so good things but even I get DOWN A LITTLE after watching too many of these (from any channel) in a row.
And I'm not even doing the research!
It's just concern on my part.
Read no more or less into it.
Good luck kid.
Murder crimes in Japan are definitely a unique flavor of crazy
Omg 😳 what a case!
Most peoples was brought up poor like me but we dont go around killing people
went from the projects to lower middle to almost upper back to lower... 0 people dead by my hand
Weird Japan is hardcore when it comes to schooling I’m surprised high school isn’t mandatory. Seems backwards lol.
That surprised me as well.
I agree with you. Hopefully something good will come out of this aweful situation.
there's no link between aspergers and murder
@@brendandarkside1207 I’m not saying there is, but to be fair untreated and undiagnosed Aspergers can lead to a lot more mental problems growing up. Not to mention the poor conditions he was living under with his mom after the death of his father. He lived trauma, and I believe the Aspergers made it difficult for him to properly experience and healthily deal with that.
Mothers should not interfire in the kids intime where about...sad ,hard but true....
Interesting story, I like your sound. :)
Hey Kyle, have u ever considered recording some relaxing videos? Your voice is fab
As always nicely done. Guy was a crazy shit tho!.
Someone seriously named their kid yu-gi-oh lmao wow. Asian governments need to work on their court systems between this case and the junko case they are really screwing up letting these monsters out with a slap on the wrist!!!
His name is Yukio. Try reading the video title before you comment lol.
How are you not hearing the enunciation correctly? It's Yukio xD
I just don't understand..... What the hell where they thinking releasing him....
What kind of ppl are born out here I will never won’t to meet a person like not even on my worst enemy
This guy committed this crime on my birthday and my Grandma's birthday.. July 29th....., this is horrible he did this to his mom... I'll never understand, and over such immature youthful relationship stuff..
Love Japan but their punishments for killers is horrible
The death penalty must be the most hanous sentence anyone can give to someone. I'll never change my mind on that
Woah is that the Japanese version of Jojos asmr?
kid was unhappy at home, lost his dad, mom has to work all the time, constantly in fear of hunger and homelessness, couldn't pursue a normal childhood, was groomed by an adult...he needed psychiatrists and mental help. throwing him back into that situation with no parole, mandated therapy, etc is ridiculous. I also dont think id ever release someone who has no guilt either, he needed much longer and extensive help. rehabilitation is a good idea but never done well
Man Yukio should've really played, Yu-GI-Oh to past the time.
🙏
I jst watched the case about the Hiroshi Maeue in the channel Fear Files (go check it out!) before this! Coincidence it was the Yukio's other companion during the hanging.
