The Port of Tyne is the UK’s second largest car export hub, handling more than 600,000 cars a year. It facilitates the import and export of Nissans vehicles to Europe and the wider global market.
The facility also accommodates rolling cargoes like agricultural and construction equipment and buses. Three purpose-built facilities serve shipment of cars at the Tyne Car Terminal. The Car Terminal offers 30 hectares of storage, secure parking for 25,000 cars, and a dedicated railway facility.
