As I said in the video, I'll do an update if the weather turns nasty again. It's been another lovely day today! The article saying that there would be heavy rain on the 1st and 2nd December was completely wrong.
Thank you so much for providing all this info. I've been watching your videos for the past few days. As Hat Yai is one of the popular destination for tourist in Malaysia, many people are curious and worry about their upcoming trips in Hat Yai, including me😁 We're lucky to have a glimpse on what's going on around Hat Yai from you. I'm glad that Hat Yai is in good weather today and hopefully things will resume to normal by the time I drive from Singapore on the 9th December😊 My heart goes out to those family who are affected by this flood.
Thank you! I'll try to keep you updated but, as I said in the video, I can't give you advice on whether to travel or not in the future! I can't predict the weather and the decision is up to you. It's been great today. I've also been looking at the radar maps on the Hat Yai City Climate website, and the good news is that there are no incoming storms in the Gulf of Thailand at the moment. I also feel sorry for those affected. I had first-hand experience of being a flood victim in 2010 in Hat Yai, and it's no fun.
Might be Phuket instead of Koh Samui for the New Year. I was in Valencia for the flood in October. Now Hat Yai. They say it comes in three’s. Sorry Phil 😂
So.. if my vacation is ruined, it's all your fault 🙄 Reminds me of someone once asking me what are the chances of a parking attendant appearing and issuing a fine for his unpaid parking, and kept insisting I give a definite yes or no.. bloody idiot drove a luxury car but wanted to skimp on loose change. Just ignore 'em 😅 That's a nifty gadget you have showing temperature and humidity. I'm curious about the humidity part.. does it have its own internal mechanism to gauge air moisture? Or is it connected online to an internet-based resource? Interesting! 😁
Exactly! If this was America, I would have to take out some indemnity insurance! I love thermometers and hygrometers! There's a unit outside that sends a radio signal to the display. I can therefore see the temperature and humidity indoors and outdoors. They're cheap on Lazada. A brand I would recommend is Oria.
@@expatlivinginthailand Hi again! Thought of a question just now & feeling a bit too impatient to wait til the next video.. sorry 😆 If I wanted to order, say, cold water, and I'm just winging it, I'd go เอาน้ำเย็น.. and then follow that up with, essentially, 'Am I making sense?' Currently I fall back to เข้าใจไหม but I'm concerned that might be misconstrued - as if it's the other person who is at fault for not understanding. What's the best way to follow up with 'Am I making sense?' in Thai?
Good evening Sir, good to hear that pouring rain has stopped. God bless.

Oh dear. You're not having much luck! This has been a big year for flooding. I've read about flooding in several countries this year.

The weather has been great. A little rain, but perfectly normal for this time of year. No problems at the moment!
