    I'd say that you are right sbout distinctives in each group but you slso have one and that is your understanding of baptism and no musical instruments in church, but we are all part of the body of Christ in our unity in him.

    Hi - I appreciate your getting 'out there' and teaching the truth.
    I would really like the churches of Christ to look again at 1 Corinthians 14:26ff and try to align ourselves with the Biblical example here. That of the men in the assembly; each one has a teaching, has a psalm, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. (It looks like tongues are finished re:1Cor13)).
    I think, if the men were ready to talk about what they had been reading about during the week..........it would make them read, #1, and #2 it would be very exciting to listen to! Everyone would have to be 'on their toes' to make sure the truth would prevail and do it nicely. The women could take notes to talk with their husbands later, and/or other sisters, on what they learned or, had issue with. #3 this would take alot of pressure off of the preachers and put it where it should be - on the whole congregation to be learning and growing.
    #4 the revelation - this as I see it is an 'ah ha' moment - you get when things finally 'click' and you understand a question you have had for a long time.
    To me, this is something we are missing! I want to see it come back, please. Do not be afraid. Try it.

      Amen! This would probably be more feasible in adult Bible classes and not the formal worship service that includes the communion, etc.

    Jesus built His own Church. Denominations are a waist of time and useless. Find any denominations in the new covenant? Show us just one.The difference between the real Church of Christ is Jesus in the old testament book of Mathew 16:18 said He would build His one Church not foolish denominations. If Jesus did not build it, Your wasting Your time. Paul demanded the one true Church to speak the same things when it comes to doctrine 1 Corinthians 1:10 2 John 9-11 .2 Timothy 3:16-17 is not talking about the whole Bible it is talking about all new testament Scriptures. How can we know this? Simple the law of Moses was nailed to the Cross. Colossians 2:14 Romans 7:4 Romans 10:4 Romans 3:19-21 is so clear on this issue as well as Romans 10:1-6 Only new covenant righteousness will be accepted by Jesus.Jesus purchased His one and only Church with His blood. Acts 20:28. There is only one faith one Church Ephesians 4:4-6 The Church is the body of Christ.The one thing thing the so called Church of Christ will not teach is how to rightly divide Gods word only by the covenants. They always teach the damnable heresy of Mathew-John describing Jesus before the Cross as new testament doctrine that is false doctrine. Jesus taught only the law of Moses before the Cross. Mathew 5:17-18 Mathew 7:12 Mathew 19:16-21 Galatians 4:4-5 Mathew 1:21 Mathew 10:5-6 Mathew 15:24 Romans 15:8 King James version. the complete new testament of Jesus is Acts 2-Revelation 22 Acts 2:42 Paul warned about this in 1 Timothy 4:1-3 many have departed from the faith Acts 2-Revelation 22 and go back in the law of Moses in Mathew-John before the Cross.Paul warned about preaching another gospel in Galatians 1:6-9 The gospel Jesus preached before the Cross was the old testament kingdom of Israel only gospel. Mark 1:1 Mathew 4:23 Mathew 21:43 that old testament kingdom was taken from the Jews at Jesus death on the Cross.Wake up people

      The information you refer to is inaccurate. The Jews of Jesus’ day did not use instruments in the synagogue worship and the early church did not use instruments for public worship for the first five centuries. These were introduced by the Catholic Church. This is history, not theology.

    There is no difference between any of the denominations because Christ is not coming back to any of them. Still, I hear churches criticizing homosexuals etc. Paul says all have come short of the glory of God, all have sinned and to judge nothing before the time. Our job is not to judge those who are outside and to puff up our denomination but to preach Paul's Gospel...the Gospel of the Grace of God. It is God who justifies the UNGODLY, that includes homosexuals, murderers, pedophiles etc... There is only one church...the body of Christ. Spiritual baptism not water baptism by believing in the Gospel...then the holy spirit will do the rest conforming us in the image of his son daily.

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  5 років тому

      Yes, God does justify the ungodly...if they believe in Jesus and repent of their sins (Acts 2:37-38).
      Preaching the gospel requires that people are made aware of the Biblical fact that they are sinners and because of this they are condemned (Romans 6:23). This is why it’s called salvation...people are lost because of their homosexuality, murder, child abuse, dishonesty and disbelief etc. and are “saved” because Jesus dies on the cross to pay the moral debt for all these sins and offers forgiveness if they believe in Him (and this belief is expressed through repentance and baptism - Mark 16:16).
      The Holy Spirit does work to mold us into the image of the Son but this molding requires us to do away with our sinful practices (homosexuality, violence, hypocracy, impiety, ignorance, addiction etc.) not excuse these things and continue in them (Romans 8:13).

      @@bibletalktv Absolutely, well said. But you need to look at what the apostle Paul is preaching, Acts 2:37 was preached by Peter to the Jews...the children of Israel. Gods message today for the world is...Paul the apostle to the Gentiles says in 2 Corinthians 5:19
      To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
      We are already forgiven, we just have to believe it and receive it. There is one church...the body of Christ, not one denomination...COC, Christadelphian, Jehova Witness, Baptist, AOG etc. Those who stand fast in the faith, as our father in the faith Abraham did, who believed God and it was counted as righteousness. Water baptism and repenting of your sins will not save you...believing in Paul's Gospel will...by Grace you are saved. Here is a something for you about baptism...
      Mark 1:8
      I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
      = 2 baptisms - water and spirit..which one is it?
      1 Corinthians 12:13
      For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
      Paul tells us there is only one baptism...
      Ephesians 4:5
      One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

    • @bibletalktv
      @bibletalktv  5 років тому

      Paul and Peter preached the exact same gospel (that’s the “one faith” Paul refers to in Ephesians4:5). There was not one gospel and response for Jews and a different gospel and response for Gentiles. He explains to the Colossians (2:11-12) that in baptism the body of sin is circumcised or cut away from the sinner. When Paul preached to Gentiles (ie. Lydia, the jailor etc.) they were baptized as their first response to his message.
      Interesting that you refer to 1Corinthians to prove your point that water baptism is not necessary. You ask me to decide which baptism is left, water or Spirit? Yet the answer to that is clearly stated in Acts 2:38.
      Peter, speaking by the power of the Spirit, tells the people to repent (repentance is necessary for salvation is it not?) and be baptized (immersion in water) for the forgiveness of sins and they shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (the indwelling of the Spirit in every believer). One baptism (water) at which time the Spirit enters to dwell within the believer. Every reference to baptism in the book of Acts describes immersion in water and is associated with salvation. One clear example of this is the story of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. He is being taught the gospel by Philip and at one point he stops his chariot and says to Philip..here is water, what prevents me from being baptized..Luke goes on to describe how Philip tells him that if he believes that Jesus is the Son of God, He will baptize him to which the eunuch makes the good confession of faith and Philip then baptizes him on the spot.
      There is no conflict between the Holy Spirit and water baptism. It is the Holy Spirit who commands such through the Word.

      @@bibletalktv Thankyou for your reply. You say that Peter and Paul preached the same Gospel...they both certainly preached faith, as did all the saints, the one faith preached to Abraham,
      Romans 4
      20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
      21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
      22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
      23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
      24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
      25
      Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
      Romans 5
      1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
      2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
      the Gospel preached to Abraham, but faith in what and which dispensation? To the Jews, water Baptism was a requirement under the Law Contract believing that Jesus was the promised Messiah, the son of God, baptised in his name for the washing away and remission of Sins, faith by works...James addressing the 12 tribes of Israel in Ch.1 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. see James Ch.2 for faith by works..we see in Romans the mercy that God will have on Israel in the future...the dispensation of the Gospel of the Kingdom, which so many denominations are caught up in. The time of the Gentiles which is now and the Gospel given to Paul by revelation concerning salvation is...
      Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel (the good news of faith) unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Yes, the one faith, but what do we have our faith in today and which Gospel (good news)? Paul went up with Barnabas to the apostles and elders of the church to preach that Gospel that he preached to the Gentiles....Galatians Ch.2...1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
      2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
      THE CORRECT DISPENSATION...Ephesians 3:2
      If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
      Only given to Paul...as I showed you, we are commanded to believe in Paul's Gospel...Romans Ch.16
      Colossians 1:25
      Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
      Now we have a faith without works, the HEATHEN being justified by faith only...the faith of Jesus, not ours...what he did on the cross
      Galatians 2:16
      Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
      If water baptism saves you, then you are under the law...you cannot earn it, otherwise, you are a child of the bondwoman, not free as children of Abraham...you then have something to boast about.
      Galatians 3:7
      Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
      Romans 11:6
      And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
      I have discussed this with many JW's, Christadelphians etc...the one thing they all have in common, is that they boast about being the one true church as do the COC church.
      We are to trust in the simplicity that is in Christ...believing the one true God, the father, what he has promised in this dispensation of his grace..we are washed by the blood of Christ, not by water.
      Ephesians 2:13
      But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
      Far off, short of the glory of GOD...brought back into fellowship with our heavenly father by the blood of Christ.
      As I showed you in Mark the distinction between the 2 baptisms...Jesus commanded his disciples to go and water baptize as well as preach the Gospel of the Kingdom...are you preaching the Kingdom? and those who believed could cast out demons and drink poison and not be harmed etc...can you drink poison?
      Paul received many revelations from the Lord Jesus Christ during his 28-year ministry, the conclusion gives us in Romans of all coming short of the glory of God, all have sinned, every mouth stopped, none have ever sought after his righteousness. What makes you or anyone else for that matter think they are now capable of doing so or able to please God in any way?
      As we see in the following verse, it is the cross and Paul was not sent to baptize as was Jesus disciples.
      1 Corinthians 1:17
      For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
      Paul also reminds the church at Corinth of the Gospel that was preached to them and that saved them, now being justified before God..
      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
      2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
      4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
      Notice he talks about receiving it...a gift and the one faith and Gospel message that they are to stand in. It all makes perfect sense because through the first Adam we are all made sinners, sin and death came into the world and sin abounded. But by the obedience of the second Adam (Jesus), we are all made righteous...that's where GRACE ABOUNDS. God loves you and wants you to be free my friend, not even judging yourself because God is not judging the world today in this dispensation...
      2 Corinthians 5:19
      To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
      The following scripture requires nothing but faith...
      Ephesians 1:13
      In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
      Things progressed after the Acts of the Apostles into Pauls Gospel, it is the one that saves and that is scriptural. God commands us to believe and stand fast in Pauls Gospel. Remember, Israel's timeline is not over yet. God will have mercy on them as he has on us. If we walk in the spirit, we cannot sin, because we come to the father by faith, not by our own righteousness. We don't have a cruel God who still expects us to do something to earn it, a gift is something you give with joy because you love that person. Man-made religion is mankinds way of trying to pay his dues. We just have to believe in a heavenly father who loves us and has made the way for us to fellowship with him. It is interesting how so much emphasis is put on water baptism when there are many baptisms in the bible.
      Romans 5:15
      But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
      2 Corinthians 9:15
      Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
      Ephesians 2:8
      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
      In Christ,
      Andre.

      @@andrereginato3538 The people who stressed baptism are those who wrote the New Testament by mentioning it so often in relation to the subject of salvation. The others who stress it are those who insist on removing it in the teaching of the gospel. The topic of baptism was rarely debated by early church leaders (never questioned or commented on in the New Testament itself). It only became a topic of debate when various groups began to change its purpose and meaning to suit their interpretation of the message of salvation.
      My emphasis on its role in the process of salvation outlined in the gospel is not a departure from the Bible’s teaching but rather a call to return to what was originally taught and practiced by Jesus and the Apostles. If you review the nearly 1000 video classes and sermons on the BT site you will not that the mention of baptism is mostly seen in the comments and responses and not in the videos themselves since I only teach on baptism in context of salvation which is a small (yet important) topic covered in my teaching ministry. As to these comments by viewers, they are remarkably similar in that most arguments are for removing altogether or neutralizing any meaning that this witness of faith commanded by Jesus has.
