- Want to learn how to play drums without stress or worry about messing up? In this video I will show you how I play All We Owe by New Life Worship! I have spent a lot of time getting my drum cam worship set up together for these videos so feel free to check out some of my other videos of me playing modern worship. I have been a Christian my whole life and playing drums for the Lord is one my favorite ways to serve God and my church. All to Him I owe because he’s given me everything I have. Make sure you turn on captions to see the All We Owe Lyrics. If you use the speed adjuster on the video you can use this is as a Worship Tutorial.

Thanks for watching! Do you feel you're getting everything out of your practice sessions?
I like the way you play the bass drum. You dont choke it by laying the beater in the head.
@@candidomendoza360 yeah I'm totally against burying the beater cuz you would never leave the stick on the head of a drum right? What's going on in your world Candido?
That looks like a very simple basic 4:4, so there's nothing too technical there. It's nice to see you sharing with a new drummer though, so please don't get me wrong. I've been learning a lot of polyrhythms and they get really tricky.
Yeah the worship music doesn't get too technical. I'll be honest I don't usually work on a lot of polyrhythms because I don't see the musical application. Can I ask what you use them for?
@@AdamZDrumming the music I enjoy demand it. Gordian Knot, Ozric Tentacles, even older stuff like Brand X while neither of these bands could be considered Christian music, they don't employ any vocals, so I feel comfortable enough listening to them when I am in the mood for musical complexity. While even the Neil Morse band is Christian music and the drummer for that band is Mike Portnoy, who formerly drummed for Dream Theater (which I don't like too much because they have horrible lyrics and vocalization of deep growling sounds... yuk!)
So this is why I have needed to develop these phrases into my tool box.
@@AdamZDrumming here's a small sample of songs I enjoy playing along with.

@@AdamZDrumming don't get me wrong because there are also many complex rhythms in Jewish music, and here is a link to my favorite praise music that I love to play with.

@@FrankPCarpi yeah of course then it totally makes sense that you would need to spend time on polyrhythms. I usually work on chops and creativity inside of the time signatures I usually play. Church music is much less about technical playing and more about leading people in worship. If you check out my Facebook page I have some more technical playing, but nothing in odd time. How long have you been playing?
