This topic was probably my most requested video! I really wasn't sure how to record and explain it so I hope I did a good job in the end :P Let me know what you thought! Thanks for watching as always
Man! This was awesome! As a Terran who struggles a bit but am always looking to refine my micro, this video helped understand splits properly more than you can imagine! Thanks! Lien your videos!
If you want to learn effective splits try "Marine Control". There you have timer, so you must force your units to attack while splitting so you finish level in time. Its very hard and diffrent from "marine split challenge" but its much closer to in-game scenario.
Love the videos as always. Would absolutely love to see an army control video. I tend to normally have a death ball army instead of an army that’s split amongst my bases or in a nice line or concave when moving across the map. Or even worst, when most of my army is across the map and there’s a counter on my side and I won’t know how to split my army to defend and attack at the same time or if there’s a double prong attack and I have a hard time splitting my army to deal with both areas since I normally tend to always use the F2 key. Tips on basic army control and late-game Terran strategies would be awesome!
As a Zerg player this was quite interesting. Preventing mines from going off with a small group of units is something i always find annoying when a terran player pays attention to it. Making the terran player move his army is a good way i think to make his army clump up again and then engage. Using the power of mobility.
Tanks watching your content I started playing SC2 yesterday. My APM really sucks in the first matches against KI but it makes fun. Which tips do you have for an absolute beginner to train the APM. Which builds do you recommend for beginners? I feel safe with a defensive strategy and BCs up to now.
Awesome video... maybe a reaper micro follow up video?? Like where to strike with the first reaper and what to scout against each match... maybe pros don’t use it a lot but in diamond and plat it is common.
Yeah thats right only presplit and mech support, when I finally got an idea how to play mech Terran(tanks ravens rocks!), marines became something like a dlc, that cost minerals to end game faster
Awesome video, i really love the frequency you upload these videos on nowadays ^^ that being said as part of the mech Terran community, I am offended when you disregard me a-moving Thors with my 70 apm
Moving and hold positioning is how mutas chase down medivacs without losing speed. If you feel the need to hold position when fighting, ask yourself: "Am I a flock of mutas killing a dumb terran's silly drop?" and take it from there.
Good video, any advice you can give on using ghost snipes effectively. I feel like I can't get any snipes off once lurkers have range upgrade and all my ghosts just die lol
Haha yeah ghost vs lurker is pretty tough, maybe my POV analysis of Clem vs Serral of last week could help. I'm probably also gonna do a Maru TvZ video later so keep an eye out :eyes:
@@uThermal Thanks ill check those videos out. I've read that its best to use rapid fire with ghost snipes but that feels too awkward for me. I just shift click and queue up the snipes lol. Back to this video should the marauders be left up front in this situation and just focus on marine splitting, or is it better to try and move them around too. One more question about tanks in this situation, should I be trying to focus down banes with the tanks while splitting, or is it more efficient to just focus on keeping the marines alive.
can we please get a good, concise 5 minute video on how to effectively fend off proxy cannons? with payback included (i.e. slide a reaper through the side to punish opponent's home base)
@@uThermal yes, I saw the vid you ention. But one shor video just focused on hwo to deal with variations of canon rush would be soooo much appreciated!! I feel I always loose games to this!
Is there any training map for marine baneling focus fire? Marin split doesn't work for that purpose because number of banes is too huge to be focus fired after few levels (
better yet que just 2 groups to attack behind or away from the enemy, so they will attack when targets are in range, but will auto retreat away from danger. PRO and i'm not even pro.
Maybe played longer and reached higher ;) A game that relies on fast clicking on a specific pixel has nothing to do with RTS. SC2 is strategy in the first 8 min or so - then it becomes crap. A.I. is already proving my thesis. @@AntonioLopez-kw3ev

does this apply to disruptors and collo also or will that have it's own topic?

True! If you want to use an arcade map 'Marine Control' is definitely better than the marine split arena ^^

absolutely agree! that would be extremely useful
Yes +1
So happy to see your videos on my yt page again! Useful and entertaining as usual
Would be nice a Ghost control guide and when to produce them or not. For me the most difficult unit to control.
Love that kind of vids Thermal, you pulled out really great explenation, and examples om actual units, keep it up
Thank you so much uthermal, you did an amazing job! You make me want to play Terren more!
Solid explanation! Wouldve liked to see a couple of in-game examples from your games with voiceover!
Amazing guide as always, best Terran UA-camr by far
Very useful to cover a specific topic like that

Been awhile since last time actually wondered how I micro. And shitty it was.
Useful this video is.
I give my thanks and all the tanks.

marine split when the baneling hits

Hey Marc, good video! Although I would suggest to turn on auto-subtitle (auto-generated) for the deaf people like me if that's okay :o
Oh I didn't even know that was an option I had to enable? xD
@@uThermal I dunno, I recall I could simply turn on auto-generated subtitle but now I'm not sure anymore
How do you practice microing units? What mode is he playing in the video?
Hello. What is the name of this mod or map ? thank you
How can I find this screen you're using? Practice unit screen? What's it called/where? Thnx!
Great explanation
Rare uthermal video. BTW, is that green ambience light at the back from Phillip Hue? Kappa
Actually it is :P
noob question: where do you get this unit tester map?
In the arcade section, I think its called LOTV Unit Tester
@@uThermal thanks uthermal for putting together all the terran school... this is best terran channel on utube
