What a nice place! Thank you for taking us with you! Stair climbing will do you a lot of good. Shinobu and I have a mountain nearby with 1230 stairs to the top, which we hike each Saturday morning. We have the advantage of hiking up first. Similar scenery in many places, but our Fukuroda Falls is immense (one of Japan's biggest) with white water cascading down volcanic rock remaining from what long ago was a marine volcano.

Shiloh National Cemetery is near there. Ruby falls, and Lookout Mt. Beautiful country. I would have to start out at sunrise to get back by sundown. Build up you calf muscles for sure.
