@@joeblogs-vx4ep This is a beginning kata I learned at yellow belt. Just like basic forward and advanced forward directions this kata is focusing more on stances and movement for beginners. What I think all martial arts are great for you but the best self defense to ever exist is a gun.

Had a retired air Force of 38 years offer to teach classes but I guess he decided not to when No one showed for second class....I personally was sick but this style is absolutely appealing. I have done Tang Soo Do and TKD but this style is relaxing but POWERFUL...fast precise and very different...I want to learn but no one teaches here...everything evolves around Tai Kwon Do....very little AIKIDO or Judo.....it seems to all be mixed up to a total different style

Many masters don't understand that kicking appeals more to the average person, as punches look "normal" and "easy".
And this is exactly the problem of okinawan styles. They basically have Mae-Geri only. They only appeal to the (already) master that wants to dive into the roots of karate.
