- Hello and welcome,
I recently decided to concentrate on growing my UA-cam channel which I first started posting to 2.5 years ago. In that time I have learned a lot about making and editing UA-cam videos and streamlined my process for doing so.
In this video I take viewers through my key learnings and challenges during this first week of my road to monetising my UA-cam channel and review my analytics for this past week.
Over the coming weeks I will be documenting my journey into monetization and sharing what I learn.
I hope you enjoy
Love Nat x

Awesome work so far. 🤩 I started my YT journey less than a month ago and am also in a 'middle life' niche 🙌, connecting hiking and talking about life after divorce (I hope algorithm is not too confused😄) I liked that you mentioned focus and letting go of other distractions ... I guess I still have to do that. 🙄
I love that you’re combining two topics. I think as long as they’re properly connected you should be just fine. I must say that properly focusing on one extra curricular activity is very welcome if you have a habit of taking too much on like I do!
Bon courage
I am not a midlifer but i still enjoy watching you as you seem very kind and inspiring plus everytime you post it's like a fun helpful surprise
I would like to make videos too but i struggle to find time with childcare and other stuff that has to get done
I hope you get what you're working for ❤
Yes juggling childcare and doing anything else is very tough! I do think anyone can do it, but it might take longer if you have lots of other commitments.
Thank you for the kind comment 😊
Hello fellow small UA-camr! Great video! New subscriber here! 😊
Thank you so much, great to have you 😊
I'm stuck in the "what's my niche" zone. I have a few ideas, but finding the time to do them can be an issue. My real job involves shooting and editing and, while I enjoy that, I often don't want to pick up a camera when I'm not working. Good luck on your journey!
It’s so tough! I find the idea of picking a niche a bit daunting if I’m honest - I’m constantly worrying I’ll have made the wrong choice and regret it!
I'm in the same boat. I just don't want to be pigeon holed into 1 specific niche
You can actually pull up full studio in your browser if you need to. Or at least I can on Android.
Thanks 😊
I have an idea of what I want to do, but not sure how to make my channel more exciting and do all the necessary editing. I'm serious now, but have had just a casual channel for 5 years and it hasn't moved much with subscribers and views. And it is disheartening to keep seeing videos pop up saying "How I went viral in just 7 days", etc. Sigh. I just went to prn in my job. Sigh again.
Yes stories of other channels blowing up quickly can be disheartening but often those people have had other channels previously or experience with the technical side of video making. For those of us learning as we go it will always take longer.
I’m going to make a video demonstrating how I do all my editing on my phone soon so that may help you x
Well road to monetization seems like a trending niche, but where do you go with it after you monetize?
So my intention is to concentrate on continuing to share my UA-cam journey and growth tips and weave in wider personal development topics like public speaking/confidence etc 👍
