You are doing such a good job! I pumped at work and totally agree w/ all of your tips especially the pumping bra (a must!) and Lansinoh bags. I pumped directly into the bag one time and the milk totally spilled and that was enough for me to pump only into containers going forward! (Yes, you can cry over spilled milk if it’s breast milk!) Then I would empty containers into bags (and write how much on outside, like you!) and freeze them flat. You are so hard working. Go, you! ❤️
I’m an exclusive pumper too & Coconut oil is what I use for “nipple cream”.. organic of course lol and it helps a lot! I got sooo sore from willow pump and this really helps and an added bonus is that coconut oil is a natural antibacterial! So that’s good for you and baby!
Do you use a specific bottle warmer? When you store your milk in the fridge for daily feedings do you feed it cold or warm? Unsure if I should be investing a bottle warmer, ice just been using hot water from my sink
Hi, I have been following you and I must say it has been really really helpful. Have few questions if you can answer 1. What bottles do you use for feeding? I tried using Spectra but they make my baby gassy I guess. 2. How do you warm the mill bottles? How long do you keep milk outside of fridge to feed your baby. 3. Can you also post a video how you use Medela part with Spectra pump?
breastmilk should never be microwaved...put the bottle/bag in a bowl of warm (not super hot) water. there are little adapters you can buy on amazon that let you use medela parts with the spectra! also the bottles they come with arent anti colic so that could cause gas. a lot of avent bottles (they make anti colic ones) fit on the spectra flanges!
I would love to see a comparison between pumps too! I have a few months before I can order one through insurance and new to breastfeeding. I plan to exclusively pump and not sure which pump will meet my needs better. I plan to pump at work too but I also drive for work so need something that is portable. Thanks 😊
ive tried almost all the pumps and the spectra pumps are the best rated for a reason. the medela pumps are just so outdated and a lot arent closed systems so milk and such can get into pump parts and cause mold. you can adjust the suction and speed on spectras which u cannot with medela.
I use a Spectra S1 and the manual says only to sterilise when the parts are new, then you can just wash them once daily but store the parts in the fridge between pumps. Might save you some time.
Wow ! Your channel is amazing! Thank you so much Ale for all the tips!!! Thank you so much for putting everything in the description ! So appreciate this!!!
Was the milk saver helpful? I’m considering getting one as well as I’m due next week and I’m trying to get my essentials. I don’t want to get it if it doesn’t make a difference.
I'm loving this series Ale! I don't have any children yet, but I always thought that once I do have my own, that I'd 100% breastfeed. Then one night I had a strange dream about me giving birth and breastfeeding and it instantly put my opinion into question. I thought that the only other option was to formula-feed, but that didn't sit right either. I had honestly never even thought of pumping as no one I know had ever done it. However, after watching your videos, I can see that there is an alternative that can work well. Thanks Ale and keep up the good work!
Hello, Any chance you have any thoughts on the Freemie Cups instead of bottles with your Spectra? I will be a new mom soon and I’m looking toward that route.
I've been looking into those adapters to use my Spectra pump with Medela parts, but I can't find the pieces they attach to like like what you've shown in your videos. What are they called? I'd love to get some.
I've been enjoying your content so much, very informative video. My baby will be born in Sept and I plan to pump exclusively, have been doing lots of research 😊
Hi im a new mother with my first born its been 3 weeks since i gave birth , i purchased a hand pump until i decide between the medela vs spectra and seems like my milk is really low like 1 oz an hour with the hand pump . Which pump do you prefer im not sure if you had a hard time at the beginning with your flow. I hope you can reply as soon as you can so I can order my pump today because my newborn is underweight. Thankyou
i used the sanitizing bags but honestly i think its SO much better and saves money to get one of the regular bottle sanitizers. i used the bags at first but they warped some of my nipples even when i used them properly! i have the normal circle avent sanitizer and its inexpensive (like $20) and fits more stuff so also saves time (and money). i think the bags are so wasteful since they only last a certain amount of uses
My child is 5 and I have no plans for another baby anytime soon but I still watch all of your mom videos. I guess I just adore your content lol. Btw your hair is so cute in this video! Love the bun.
Super helpful video!!! Thank you! First time breastfeeding/pumping Mom here, any tips on leaking? I have the disposable pads but I also don’t want to wear a bra if I’m just at the house and I’m leaking all over my shirt, not sure if breastmilk stains but so annoying! Any tips would be appreciated!!
Congrats on being a new mommy😍what would be a good Schedule for someone trying to be a fly Attendant as a single mom trying to Manage work and motherhood.what would be your Recommendations that way work best
Hi alia, Thanks for tour good videos.. I’m an exclusively breastfeeding mum, but I do also pump when baby finished eating and is sleeping. Now I have the feeling that I might be pregnant again. I’m worried that maybe my milk supply is going to drop. I have a little stash in my freezer but it’s only for 4/5 days. My baby is now almost 7 months. What can you advise my please? I don’t want to use formula. Thanks in advance. -Mom from Holland
I really enjoyed watching this video . I breastfed my son until he was 2 1/2 and this time around I might have to pump since I’m working . Isaac never took a bottle and had breast milk straight from the source , this time I want to still breastfeed but also pump for 1-2 bottles a day . Any tips on how I can manage doing both ? Thanks !
I've heard people pump right after nursing in the morning! my friend Olivia Zapo has a video on that! Her channel is Olivia Zapo and her video is called "Pumping 101"

I spilled 6 oz yesterday 😭 you better believe I was crying 😂

MidtimesAngel I still sterilize mine every night since I pump every three hours.
Would love to see a comparison between both pumps! I have a madela from my first.
Ok! I’ll get to it soon and have it up!
Wow ! Your channel is amazing! Thank you so much Ale for all the tips!!! Thank you so much for putting everything in the description ! So appreciate this!!!
How did the milk savers end up working out? Are they worth it?
Thanks for all of these tips! What is your pumping schedule like?!
Of course! I just filmed a “day in the life” video and I show how I pump it should be up next week!
I love those munchkin brushes extremely helpful!

Are spectra parts fine? I have ameda and ardo. Are there better or can I put them like Medela with a hack?? Also valves are the same for all?
Hello,
Any chance you have any thoughts on the Freemie Cups instead of bottles with your Spectra?
I will be a new mom soon and I’m looking toward that route.
Love this video so helpful!! The link to the black pumping/nursing bra you recommended no longer works. Do you mind sharing which bra you use?
I've been looking into those adapters to use my Spectra pump with Medela parts, but I can't find the pieces they attach to like like what you've shown in your videos. What are they called? I'd love to get some.
What’s the difference between using the sanitizing bags vs boiling or using a glass container in the microwave? Seems like a waste of plastic?
You can use the sanitizing bags up to 20 times. They are a lot easier to use than boiling your parts in a pot of water. It's faster, as well.

It will just be for a couple weeks until your breasts adjust to your baby's demand. It doesn't stain but I know it is annoying!
DianaZC thank you!!
What is the name of your drying rack? I don't have much space and yours would be great!
It looks like OXO Tot Space Saving Drying Rack

So you can use dr brown bottles with the medela parts? I have like 20 from my son and would love to be able to use those
Is there a video comparing the two pumps ?
Did you end up liking the milk savers? @WonderfullyAle
Can I ask if medela pumping bra fits spectra pump bottles ?
Are you going to do more flight attendant videos when you go back to work?
Yes! You guys will see me going back to work and vlogging trips!
