I totally get why people find doing these streams to be cringe, but I always felt like it was more of a community "good vibes" night
I find it a bit cringe. Not becouse the cause, suicide prevention is important.
Seems like a bit virtue signally, BUT it's a charity stream, so kudos to Brick.
Im a bit slow, so could you enlighten me about the reason why its cringe?
It depends on the streamer.
I find those lying bastards that act like they haven't been on the internet and have not seen a single clip cringe beyond imagination...I even remember seeing a meme of one such streamer who "didn't know" what a rick roll was...sure bruh.
At least with Bricky here he's truthful, he's saying what he has seen and has not seen, what he expected of some clips etc.
It's fun for him and it's fun for us when we know where a clip is going but hear Bricky say he expects it to go another way...which makes the "punchline" even funnier.

I watched the VOD on 2x speed. Compared to other YLYL content, Bricky is amazing. He laughs a lot and isn't getting upset about it, he seems to be having a great time and has a good sense of humour rather than just screaming at anything remotely zoomer.
Also it helps that he's someone that I've watched for a long time and have a classic parasocial relationship with.

From what I’ve seen, people dislike LotR for two main reasons:
- They dislike fantasy in general, and don’t watch the movie in the first place
- They think the Fellowship is boring and stop watching before the hobbits even leave the Shire
Either way, they dislike the movies despite never actually having seen them all. Kinda sad.
