Nanny I'm not a widow, have been married this month 43 years. Since high school I have put music on in the background. In my room, then our apt and then house and in car. Classical music. Recently I have on many times sacred choir music and then some instrumental music from movies. It helps take away the silence. In the middle of the night if I feel anxious I read then I go back to sleep. I ask the Holy Spirit to help me go back to sleep as well. God Bless. Count your many blessings. Love and hugs :D
I admire your bravery. I don't think many women could talk so frankly. That's the problem, we need more conversations about incontinence. I've been struggling with it for the last 4years and it truly is a pain in the ---.
You are so cute in your outfit. Love that hat. My aunt had incontinente and always travelled to visit her sister in Japan. And she used the pads that hold and little per that escapes. I think the lightest pad is always. But you should try different brands to know which you like the best. Don’t worry. Leave your cares with the Lord and he will tell you what to do. He cares for you. 1 Peter 5
Nanny, as always, you are a delight. Poise pads have been on my shopping list for several years. Some friends occasionally wear Depends. Nobody else is going to know we’re wearing protection to give us a little confidence/peace of mind. For concerns about which toilet articles will pass through airport inspection, it’s pretty easy to place an online Walmart or Amazon order to be shipped to your son’s address - or remember that just about anywhere you go, you’ll be able to find a Walmart or pharmacy to fill your needs and pick up those things after your arrival. Enjoy your vacation. You and Moose are amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, ideas, concerns, stories, and solutions with us.
Nanny I'm so greatfull for you......I'm also thinking about everything......will this..will that..sometimes a friend invite me for a sleepover..but then my mind starts...I don't want to by a nucence ..cause my hips and legs doesn't want to walk with out pyne....but Thankyou for your videos....today it's going to be very hot..so I took out a grannyprint from with old necklesses to look like you..I'm so happy love you and Moose.👱🇿🇦🙌🐇🐖🙋
I had a surgery for my dribble issues. I saw a gyno urologist who said it was caused by my having my 3 beautiful children. Lord, I could hiccup and flood the place 🤗 You're right about the extra pee in your bladder after you go. The doctor's test was to have me go and then see what was left with a catheter. I will say that the vaginal mesh surgery was the worst surgery I've ever experienced. Recovery time was over a month!! Be sure if you're doing that surgery, to clear your schedule for a long time. I don't want to scare anyone but I'm not sure if I would have done it if I'd known what it entailed. It was scheduled at the wrong time too. A little bit after my surgery my husband was diagnosed with cancer and he had to have a major surgery. The cancer was in his chest and he was cut open like a heart surgery. I wasn't quite up to everything but you know, you never know what you're capable of doing until you do it. At least he's not a whiny man and after about a week of my doing almost everything for him, he was up and about. It went well by the grace of God. The cancer is gone. It's been 4 years in July. Thank you Jesus 💗
I am 73 an have incontence. My Dr. Gave me a pill for that, but it doesn,t always work. Thank you for speaking of this problem.. I have to ware pads, when If out, at home pantie liners are enough. It is sad, but I love your 0peningis about this.thank you.
Thank you for the "talk." I got to the point where I am afraid to sneeze or cough, even laugh! But, as you say, "I'd rather have a belly laugh ..." Bless the inventors of pads!
Love your truthfulness. I think you might be a harbinger of things to come 🔙 vis a vis social media. Good for you!!! God bless you and your entrepreneurship.
Thank you so much, Mary Ellen, for being so open about your worries about travelling and flying, and even, the dangers of laughing, coughing and sneezing at our age! You are so honest and real, all the time! And we all share these same feelings and fears. You have planned so well ahead, that you can meet any challenge! Besides, the Lord goes with you! Looking forward to the trip with you so much! You, two, have not been away from your darling adobe, garden and spectacular views in a long time. Moose and you have such a love of life and new adventures will await you! Best wishes, love and prayers, Patricia
Hi from Annie it is good yo share your worries that is what brings us together more we all need to talk about worries etc, the garden looks fabulous so good to see it brings you both so much joy. Keep looking forward to your trip it should be fun and good to get away.
Patricia......loved your phrasing of...”the dangers of laughing....” (maybe we’ll allow this new truth 😐 to make us Feel Young Again.....like when we were little and ‘not allowed to laugh”.....like in church.....when we never wanted to laugh so much ! (Add a few nuns and...The Struggle was Real !)
Oh Nanny you should know you can talk about anything with this gang! At 78 I too am a member of the leakage club. I bought some of the panties they advertise to collect up to a cup of liquid, don't waste your $$$ ladies they are only good for drips, but I do feel secure in my head. Looks like we all have similar problems. Don't worry about these things, we think so much will happen when in fact things turn out okay. Your smart to take the wheelchair to the boarding area, I do as well, here in Boston the boarding area is far from check in. Your garden looks beautiful, you do a lot of work, I'm tired watching you. Hope you take some time to relax before your trip! Stay well.
Nanny - you are an amazing wonder! This was a perfect example of why I love you. It is as it always is authentic, spontaneous, timely, humorous and you never demonstrate that fear rules. I am so alone in the world and your friendship comforts me. A lot! Your hat and bibs were beautiful today … “crack on” as they say in the UK! I can’t wait to see the exciting visit with your son. - I didn’t mention the courage it takes to look at old age and not get mired in all the effort required to just be. Warm hug, Patricia
Patricia Dear…please don’t feel alone…we are all here to support each other…if only by.virtual means…but we can still love and give hug to each other..🙏❤️😘
I have found you new friend. I’m 66 female. Still working seven days a week which I’ve done since my 20 in age. I raise 4 kids all doing well. I’m a workaholic because having to support my kids. I’m custodian Monday threw Friday. 35 years. Weekends Saturday and Sunday working in assisted living as care worker. Still do I love it. I’m single for long time. Enjoy my dog better than men. Thinking about retiring from school job as custodial service. Next year. But still working my care giving job 2 or 3 days week. So scary little bit. I’ve social security and pension from school. Savings from working all these many years. I don’t know want thing but working it’s becomes a drug. Now I love love working I’m around lots people. Kids during the week days. Old people like me on weekends. I so happy I found you.
I’m happy you found me, too, Diana…you are such a hard worker and good mother…taking care of everything all these years…Your work attitude is great and I admire you very much…hugs, ❤️
My Mom & I both suffer with incontinence. I wear pads, she doesn't, but she has to change more. To each her own, but yes, it's just a fact a life and you go on and definitely laugh! I'm with you- wear the pads❣️🙏❤️
Ha! Great minds. I was just talking about incontinance on my latest UA-cam video. how my husband makes me laugh and I have to cross my legs. Just use small Always pads everyday and no longer worry.
You can get handicapped, plane tickets. When your plane lands, at each stop..there is someone with a wheel chair, waiting as you un-board the plane and they take you to next flight or baggage check.
Love all your videos! You are a gem. So real! At 81 I gave issues with the bladder as well! Just accept. You don’t need to fear. The meaning of fear is “F- false E- evidence A- appearing R- real! Therefore we don’t need to fear. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY! You are BLESSED and you acknowledge your Blessings. Please share the wonderful trip you and Moose are going to enjoy!💕
Think as we get older and not carefree, we do worry more. Please talk about it to your viewers, it helps us relate and know we are not alone in our worries
I shared with my physical therapist, the wonderful car assist device that you mentioned in one of your videos. He specializes in physical therapy for older adults and had never heard of this product. He was thrilled and says thank you to nanny.
Amazing how many docs , nurses, and car park assistants aren’t aware of this…I think we need more nation-wide attention to geriatrics and the needs of aging adults!❤️
Yes! Incontinence is a “shhh! Don’t talk about it!” subject! I laugh at myself after doctor appointments! I am 76 & age where doctor usually asks if I have problems with the “shhhh! Don’t mention it” subject. I always say no. What pops in my head to say is “Why??!!! Do I smell like pee??!” Buy instead I lie and say no! Nothing like the pride of an old lady! 😁😇😃😇
Hi Nannie and Moose, my husband and I went on a trip to visit our son a month ago. It was an all day process because we had to change planes. I was worried about a number of things like yourself, like will they lose our luggage, will we make our next flight, ect. Thank God everything went smooth. And the big thing for me was, am I going to be able to reach the toilet in time🥹. I went as soon as that feeling started because usually I like to wait and hold it. Those days are gone with holding 🤣. Praying that you two get there and back safely, pack early so your not stressed about leaving something behind. Your garden looks absolutely beautiful!
Nanny hello, watching your video late on the TV & I just want to comment in Moosey getting to his seat on the aircraft..They have what's called in flight chairs; like a smaller modified wheelchair which is slimmer to fit down the aisle with no arm rests; please have Billy call the airline & reserve this for him; no reason to risk his falling or adding stress. Ok...will finish watching the video. Hugs & prayers 🙏.
Hey Nanny, looking good! In the 1st place, having a conversation about your concerns is not complaining. In the 2nd place, we’re girls, and all these issues go with the territory. Told my Dr. that gravity is doing a number on me. My cheeks are sliding down to my chin. My upper arms are sliding down over my elbows. My thighs are sliding down over my knees and everything inside my body is trying to fall out! It is very disconcerting, but it is what it is. Let’s just take care of our bodies and use all the wonderful products available to us. Let’s not dwell on what we can’t change and get on with living our best life! Love this video and love you!💕 God bless us all !,
This year at 75 I am finding getting ready to leave our home in Ontario Canada and going to our home in Florida for six months. Due to mobility issues I lie awake at night worrying about the smallest things. So I know how you feel. Just remember the end goal is waiting for you and you will enjoy yourself. Love you sweetie always enjoy your videos.
Don't worry Nanny , we are all happy to listen to your worries, we all have the same! We love you and Moosie and know you are going to have a wonderful trip!
I think all of us “seniors” have flying anxieties. I am 76 and my only child and grandchild live in Europe. I am visually impaired and have a bum hip…but those wheelchairs get me to every gate and to the front if every line. Otherwise, I would be too afraid to make the trip by myself. It’s scary, but the thought of not visiting my family is even scarier. We’ve gotta do what we can for as long as we can..! Enjoy your time with your Idaho family❤️
Love you two, I'm 75 and I had a hysterectomy about 20 years ago.. After working as a nurse and never getting a chance to use the restroom , I believe my bladder has dropped .with the uterus gone, it gave the bladder support which now is missing . I'm excited about your trip. After COVID and retirement I have gotten so used to staying at home. I do get anxious when I'm gone for any period of time. My home after my divorce gives me security. But have a blast and sent us some beautiful pictures. Love you both .
Nanny don’t apologize for airing your flying concerns. I am 20 years younger but I have my concerns about flying especially after having Covid so I avoid it. Pat yourself on the back for doing it. Since the pandemic I more or less gave up on flying. So don’t feel bad we all have our little worries. I am excited to see your footage from when you go to Billy’s! So fun and who does not love small cozy towns? Right!!!!! God bless us all! Hugs, Elizabeth XX ❤🤗❤️💕🙏💫
Here's another little tip, when on the toilet, lean to one side, lifting up your hip,do this on the other side as well, often you will find you have a small additional output.I also lean way down in front gently pushing on my stomach, again a little bit more will come out.Have a wonderful time! Safe travels!
Oh, Nanny, we never mind hearing what's troubling you. I think we all get more concerned about traveling by plane, all their restrictions and the inconveinence of boarding and getting off of it when we land and having some mobility issues. Traveling does become somewhat of an issue as we age....even going to the grocery store! Which brings to mind....incontinence!! I go NOWEHERE any more without a pad on for the just in case moment!! I'm so glad you said that about the bladder not emptying completely...happens to me to often. I'll go, get up, go out to do whatever, bend over and bam, dribbling happens!! My goodness, I just went! So I definitely will wait a little longer for a complete void...I'm a good daydreamer!! Definitely know i'm not alone in this....my 2 daughters , 52 and 47, also have started "piddling" once in a while! Love you both, God Bless and stay happy and healthy!!
Thanks for sharing. To help void completely, lean forward with a straight back. It really helps. This tip my dear departed mother passed on to me, which she received originally from her doctor. Love your garden. You and Moose certainly have green thumbsl
I understand all your worries because I’m a big worry wart😊. As far as the other thing, I am 67 and I wear pads on a daily basis. I want to make sure I’m protected. The joys of aging 😊
Your travel concerns are justified and I am sure many of us can really relate to them, I know I can. Good tip to wear dark clothing, also waiting on the toilet for the bladder to finish it’s job. The garden looks great as does your outfit. It sounds like a wonderful trip!🙏❤️
Nanny, back in 05, we were visiting our youngest daughter in D.C. Hubby and I were walking in some lovely gardens. My bladder said go and we hurriedly found bathrooms. I had difficulty getting the stall to open, and because of urgency, wet myself. Well, there was a unisex door, and hubby hurried me inside. I had to strip down as everything was sopping. Ron wash😢ed jeans and undies, then dried under the hand drier. As we left the unisex bathroom, everyone just stared at us. I have never left my house since unless I have on a Poise pad and an extra in my handbag!
Wow, Faith…that was sure an adventure…but a fantastic recovery!! Besides having a very helpful and creative hubby….you both gave out some exciting vibes to all waiting…when you waltzed out together…laughing and winking!❤️❤️🥰🥰
Hi Nanny, I am also one of those ladies of a certain age who wear panty liners! 😂 I think you are so honest about all these feminine things. I had a Hysterectomy at the age of 42 year’s, so my Pelvic Floor has been Laminated for many year’s now! 😜 You just have to put your best foot forward and get on with Life. You have a fabulous Family and they will help you with all they can. Also, We are here for you. You can use Us as a Sounding Board! Take Care and God Bless, Love Cathy🏴xxx
I know exactly how you feel! My hubby and I were invited by our friends to take a trip to Rome, Italy, to celebrate my 70th Birthday and our wedding Anniversaries but all I can think about is the length of the flight, walking both at the airport and once we get there... will I be able to do it?!? Traveling is SO stressful for us now at this time of our life. Try to focus on the joys of being there and all the things you will see. Love you guys! Stay positive ❤
Boy I feel your stress about airports. I flew the end of 21 & I was so stressed about having my paperwork, the right things in my bags, etc. If you check your bags, just put toiletry stuff in plastic bags. Airports are concerned about leakage above all. Be sure any paperwork you need is in your purse. Also keep a couple of days' medication in your purse or carry on. Beyond that, it really wasn't all that different. I had stressed for NOTHING. Isn't that always the way it goes?! Keep a notepad by your bed & if you think of something, jot it down. Re: Incontinence- ugh! I had to have a bladder suspension when I was in my 30s. Since then i have suffered from bladder spasms. So annoying! Seems like they are worst when I actually SEE the toilet 😂 Your tips are right on the money. If I walk past a bathroom, I stop & go - even if I don't have the urge! (When we travel, I can tell you where all the best public bathrooms are 😉) The secondary bladder emptying - also true. And - especially if I'm traveling - I wear clothes that give me easy & fast access. Garden is looking amazing! Wind here destroys so much, plus we've had lots of cold, so only 2 of my seed plantings came up (out of probably 10 pots). When you get home, everything will be in full bloom! Love you both, prayers, hugs, and blessings from West Texas--
Good morning Nanny. You touched on something that can be very inconvenient, annoying and embarrassing. It is not spoken of. Incontinence. The older we get the worse it gets. I have been on several different medications. If one helps, it makes me very sleepy. So I give up on it. I have tried the exercises and everything that the urologist recommends. It is just another part of aging to deal with. Thank goodness for depends! That takes away the worry and embarrassment. I am becoming less mobile and you worded it perfectly. Be kind to your body. You were concerned about voicing your worries and thoughts. I understand not wanting to say anything to the children. However, by voicing things to your viewers you show us that we are not alone with our own concerns and problems. Your garden is looking great! Something is eating all of my new flowering plants. Right down to the soil. It is either a squirrel or rats. I googled it and they said to put out Irish Spring soap. I did. Now I put out something from Amazon. It is peppermint and other oils. It needs to be safe around my Molly. You don’t seem to have a problem with critters. I hope that your weekend is wonderful. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon
Thanks for being here today, Sharon…yes, we are having a few critter problems this year….SNAILS…but we use …That’s It!…seems to be the only slug med that works…also my big lavender bush died and I had to replace 2 tomato plants….we are hopeful for the dalias…the past few years…something just ate them all up!…the peppermint oil should deter rats…love and hugs…❤️
Oh just continue to say the words.. your concerns are real.. so just vent! We are here for you! I know the kids dismiss your worries… but remind them to JUST LISTEN. Sometimes we just need to talk. Also remember there are stores where you are going!! If you forgot toothpaste there are stores! Also. You could order some collagen, Vaseline, toothpaste etc and have it sent to their house! You don’t need to be a pack animal trudging thru the airport with all that nonsense. 🤪 In a few weeks this trip will be a memory, so please slow down and take on all the surrounding and enjoy. You deserve this happy trip! I’m 76 and used to adore traveling..have not in awhile. We are all going along for the trip! Thanks for taking us!!❤️😍❤️ Now go relax and spend a day smiling. 😊
I so understand your worries. But try not to let that overtake. Looking for all the fun times and good times you’ll have I know a lot of times I feel the same way as you and worry about things that never even come about so take one moment at a time, one day at a time and everything will be OK. I so understand as I said before. Sending hugs, love, prayers, and kindness with positive thoughts.❤❤❤
Hi Nanny, I don’t mind at all that you talked about your worries. I think it’s quite natural to think of these things, I do and I’m in my fifties so it’s not an age thing. I know that when you get to your sons all this will be forgotten and you will have a wonderful time making more memories. I hope you have a good time. Love to you both. Xxx
Shannon Gaddy Dear Nanny don’t ever feel that you can’t talk to us about anything. We all love you and Moosie and we care very much about you guys. You help us all the time with so many issues and we so appreciate it. Remember friends are there for each other So just keep thinking about how much fun you’ll have with your family and the lovely things you’ll see and be doing. Have the best time you guys! You both deserve it. Love and blessings to you both Shannon❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Have a wonderful trip and time with family and friends. Enjoyed your vlog today..great tips and your garden is lovely. Moosie is looking well and love his sense of humour!
Hi Nanny, Regarding painful knees, I was advised by a nurse to take Glucosamine Chondroitin for arthritis in my knees. It has helped me so much. Whenever I have run out of it, my pain starts up again, so, I assume that it’s working! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Nanny and Moose are the cutest gardeners I ever seen. Love how you team together to get gardening done. I should look half as cute as you Nanny. Hoping you will have a safe and happy trip. Take lots of video so I can enjoy your trip. Love to you both.🤗😘
Nanny...I just love how there is no subject off the table with you! It helps others to know they aren't the only ones with certain taboo subjects. My comment may push the envelope just a bit...I am just starting to be bothered with that problem to a degree that I worry about it when traveling HOWEVER ( and this is the biggie) I have for years had the stress/anxiety related problem that is far worse than wet pants ...and I know that I'm not alone in that boat either. I would love to travel and do more but to be in a situation where you have to do the other "number" and no bathroom available or as in flying it may be when you're not allowed to leave your seat and you can't hold....it is beyond embarrassment. Sometimes certain medications work and sometimes for whatever reason.. they don't. It can be a mess...literally! So wear your poise pad or depends and enjoy your trip...it could be a worse problem 😕 I wouldn't fret too much about any of the things that you can only carry in a 3oz size and all must fit into a quart sized bag. Ad my kids tell me...whatever you forget or can't take enough of, there are alwsys stores where you can get what you need. You're going to have a wonderful time. I can't wait to see all your videos from Idaho. ❤
I know many people suffer from “that other problem”…is it IBS,..J? I am considering doing a video on the opposite…constipation…but I don’t feel too knowledgeable yet on either subject…you seem to have mastered the way to cope…any comments from our viewers would be appreciated here….❤️❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose Yes, Nanny it is IBS. I don't know that I deal with it all that great. It does keep me from doing some things that I'd like to do and that is so frustrating. It is triggered by anxiety and certain foods. Something as simple as a dental or doctor appointment can cause enough anxiety to set it off...it's that feeling of being trapped and not being able to use the bathroom or going somewhere not knowing if a bathroom is available. Xanax and Imodium can be very helpful medication. I've had it for so many years...I feel it's just the thorn in my side and something I have to make the best of as I can. Some people have IBS-C which is constipation...I have never experienced that. The only time I ever have to deal with constipation is if I've had to take Imodium too many times over a few days. I don't think I can be of much help with the constipation subject since my problem is the opposite but I'm glad you are bold enough to tackle these kinds of topics.💗
Oh Nanny I’m so happy that you’re going on your trip, don’t worry about it you will have help I know that I worry too and sometimes I talk myself out of going. Once you are up there you will have a great time 😊keep us updated 👍🏻
Nanny do not apologise for your worries. I do understand all your concerns. After Covid I also think a lot before doing something out of my normal life. Little things which never passed on my mind now trouble me and I think twice before doing it. I think you are very strong minded and I admire you so much for your determination and go forward in this adventure. Thank you for talking openly about a subject that most of the time no one speaks: incontinence. I’m 75 year old and from several months I have had this problem. I was not worried because I know that with age this could happen, but even so it’s very unpleasant. I will try to follow your advice and go every hour or so to empty my bladder. Sometimes I wait to much because I think I have time to arrive in the bathroom and then with the clothes etc it’s to late. Thinking that some years ago I could wait hours… 😊. Love you Nanny and God bless you all.
I'm so excited for you and your trip! Perhaps your nerves are not nerves but excitement!! When I pack, I sit and think about a typical day and make a note of all the things I use, you know, toothpaste, floss, medicine, etc. I imagine the whole day right up to getting into bed and jotting down what I use. Then I use that list to pack as the foundation. When I leave a place, I use the same list to tick off that all those things are packed. I hope this helps, Nanny! Love to ou both. 🥰💞
You are so right with aging problems, we all do different things in our own way. Thank you for sharing all these tips. Blessing to you all enjoy your trip. 🙏👍👏😘
Thanks for this 🙏When I was younger raising my four kids I could go anywhere and no worries 😊 Now at 77+ everything is a much bigger deal and like yourself the worries come my kids say “Mom” calm down 🙁Right there with you had Hysterectomy and severe prolapse in 2001 every once in awhile I laugh or sneeze and oh oh like you said Thank Goodness I am hanging on and thankful to be here🙏👍
Nanny….you gave me a great belly laugh when you posted you looked like a proper farmer and only needed a pitch fork!! I understand fully about your concern a lot flying, my son is taking me to Paris in July for my 84th Birthday…..hope I’m up for it as I just had thyroid surgery. I recognized a few years ago that taking a few more minutes after a pee was worth the wait, there was more there….love you, I’m so excited to go along with you on your trip🥰
Thank you for sharing your time Nanny ...you are actually a great source for stress release..very pleasant to hear all about you and Moose.. is day to day adventures 👍take care and may you both have a very enjoyable safe🥰 trip..
Nanny and Moose, I hope you have a blast in Idaho! Safe travels too! I look forward to hearing how much fun you had up North! I also look forward to seeing how your newly planted seeds flower and display their beautiful blooms! It's all good! ❤
Nanny please don't apologize for telling us your worries. We all do have worries. We are a family here . We all love both of you and are willing to listen to your worries and concerns.
Thanks for sharing & talking about what all of us of a certain age begin to worry about these private issues. It makes all feel better knowing we’re all in this together. Hope your trip is full of fun & love.
Hi Nanny, that "Skunk-Story" Was so funny, I told all of my family and we were laughing like crasy. Don't worry so much about the trip, there are so many people around you, that are going to help you. You will see, it all will work out just fine. And think of all the people people, that include you in there prayers. Love ❤, Elke
I love your vlogs so much! I am in my early 70s, but am still working. Listening to you is like having an older sister with such great advice! I hope you all have a wonderful trip to Idaho!
Bless your heart, such a worry about the trip.Think you will be ok.But yes,we woman have some of the same problems as we get older. Not much fun,but glad to still be alive.Wishing you both the best.
Oh Nanny, when you share your concerns, whether personal or other, please know that you are voicing the concerns that many share and have no one to talk to. Your honesty is a true gift to us and I wouldn’t want you guys to ever hold back. Also, while you are stressing about skin care etc., you can check most in your luggage & it may be worth an extra checked bag for your piece of mind. I will also say, lists are definitely your friend when getting ready to travel. And in reality, worst case scenario, if you forget something, you buy it or Amazon it while you are there. Try relaxing when you can and know that your visit, experiences and memories will be more than worth the preparations. Have a beautiful week ahead.🙏🌻
Nanny, You look cute in your outfit! I am praying everything goes easy and well for your trip! Your garden looks pretty and the plants well be beautifulwhen you get back!! I enjoyed the chat about incontinence. You and Moose have a wonderful week end!
Nanny, get a wheelchair for yourself too. I do that and put my cat carriers on my lap. Don’t worry all will work out, it always does you know. The plane people will help you a lot. I don’t mind you sharing your concerns. You feel responsible and are for Moose too. And just wear a pad. Enjoy the process, of going to Idaho . all is well. Hugs to both of you. 💝
I’m 82 and travel once or twice a year to visit children who live 1200 miles from me. Yes, each year I worry a little more than the year before about my walking which has become so unstable making it difficult to walk the aisle, worrying about unexpected bathroom accidents on the plane and what would I do if the unthinkable happens. But wanting to see the family is a greater desire than the fear of the problems so I continue to put my fears aside and make the reservations. Have a safe trip!!
🌸Nanny I so enjoyed this video as usual. You will have a lovely trip it sounds beautiful up there. I just have to say the garden you and Moosie have created is just serene and so pretty -- you have a little pocket of Heaven on earth there, good for you. ❤😍😄
What a stunning lady you are! I saw the topic and here I am. I’m 66 and “it” just started. I’ve had no children, I’ve also had a complete hysterectomy at a young age. I didn’t think it was safe but had a little bit longer. Nope! I agree with all of it! My tip? I have an electronic Yahtzee game on the counter, fight there to use. You be surprised (or not) how much more can be released if you just relax and take your mind off it all! Thank you! 💕💖💕
You will have a wonderful time! I know flights are a worry. I book seats based on where restrooms are located. We just returned from over 14 hour flight from Dubai and it was a challenge and I’m almost 20 years younger than you 💜🇨🇦
Nanny thanks so much for talking about "shhh and we don't talk about it but i'm glad you did because we all have these issues ... i love your garden looking forward to the zinnia's so colourful ... looking forward to your video's from Idaho so travel safe and you and Moosie have a fabulous time Sending Blessings and Hugs 😍😘
At age 18 , I had Guillian- Barre syndrome, which is an ascending paralysis & thank God I recovered from it except for the paralyzing of one of my urinary bladder nerves. Thank God for those very thin poise pads!! But the urologist at that time said exactly what you said, which is to sit on the toilet for a few minutes more & I have found that it does help. Sorry for the TMI ! Also, I'm so happy that you will be utilizing a wheelchair also! I know the feeling of trying to keep up with the attendant who is escorting my husband through the airport! P.S. I have fully recovered from the Gullian Barre virus except for the bladder issue!
You are not complaining at all. You're just planning ahead, which is very PROACTIVE. You are a smart lady, and it's our honor to get to know you!
Laughing is always a killer for me--but Im not gonna stop 😅😂
No worries sweetheart! Just relax and enjoy. All will be taken care of.
Love the hat!
A nurse told me to lean a bit forward, when were ‘done’, to totally empty your bladder....effective !
U are a “treasure” 🎉
Thank you, Braydie…❤️
I will be 71 next week and wear poise pads daily, feel better knowing I have that layer of protection!
I like the different jewelry (rings) that u wear. Maybe let us know what the stone is.
I like your hair parted on the side
Lord, I could hiccup and flood the place 🤗
You're right about the extra pee in your bladder after you go.
Thank God you are both well and happily, jay’s mama…❤️🙏
😅
I am 73 an have incontence. My Dr. Gave me a pill for that, but it doesn,t always work. Thank you for speaking of this problem..
I have to ware pads, when If out, at home pantie liners are enough. It is sad, but I love your 0peningis about this.thank you.
Period pants are excellent for small leaks - I always wear them when I go out walking xxx
Thanks for sharing issues that are not usually shared
Thank you for the "talk." I got to the point where I am afraid to sneeze or cough, even laugh! But, as you say, "I'd rather have a belly laugh ..." Bless the inventors of pads!
Love your truthfulness. I think you might be a harbinger of things to come 🔙 vis a vis social media. Good for you!!! God bless you and your entrepreneurship.
Thanks, Catherine…God bless you, too.❤️
I love listening to you!! Thanks for sharing all of your tips!! You are such a gorgeous and elegant lady!!!
It is things to consider. Many people don't think ahead. You do. That's great.
Nanny, Depends briefs are my best tool for coping with my incontinence. It's so much better than damp or wet clothing.Thx for discussing this issue.
Thanks, Patricia…🙏❤️

Good to know, Paula❤️
Love all your videos! You are a gem. So real! At 81 I gave issues with the bladder as well! Just accept.
You don’t need to fear. The meaning of fear is “F- false E- evidence A- appearing R- real!
Therefore we don’t need to fear.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY! You are BLESSED and you acknowledge your Blessings.
Please share the wonderful trip you and Moose are going to enjoy!💕
Thanks for your encouraging comments, Donna..❤️
Think as we get older and not carefree, we do worry more. Please talk about it to your viewers, it helps us relate and know we are not alone in our worries
I shared with my physical therapist, the wonderful car assist device that you mentioned in one of your videos. He specializes in physical therapy for older adults and had never heard of this product. He was thrilled and says thank you to nanny.
Amazing how many docs , nurses, and car park assistants aren’t aware of this…I think we need more nation-wide attention to geriatrics and the needs of aging adults!❤️
What a sweetheart you are nannie...love watching you. I think your marvellous doing all these exciting things...good luck ❤
Oh, Vicky…you are so funny! Love and hugs…😂😂❤️
Love this video and love you!💕 God bless us all !,
Love love this post, Judith…funny but so true…😂❤️
This year at 75 I am finding getting ready to leave our home in Ontario Canada and going to our home in Florida for six months. Due to mobility issues I lie awake at night worrying about the smallest things. So I know how you feel. Just remember the end goal is waiting for you and you will enjoy yourself. Love you sweetie always enjoy your videos.
Thanks ,Candace, for the nice comment ❤️
Don't worry Nanny , we are all happy to listen to your worries, we all have the same! We love you and Moosie and know you are going to have a wonderful trip!
Thank you for talking about this subject! GOD bless nanny & moose! ❤
Thanks for sharing, Barbara..❤️
Nanny don’t apologize for airing your flying concerns. I am 20 years younger but I have my concerns about flying especially after having Covid so I avoid it. Pat yourself on the back for doing it. Since the pandemic I more or less gave up on flying. So don’t feel bad we all have our little worries. I am excited to see your footage from when you go to Billy’s! So fun and who does not love small cozy towns? Right!!!!! God bless us all! Hugs, Elizabeth XX ❤🤗❤️💕🙏💫
Thank you, Elizabeth…❤️🙏
❤
Enjoy your trip Nanny and Moose 😊👍🏻🤗 Your garden is looking good 👍🏻
Texas Lady
Here's another little tip, when on the toilet, lean to one side, lifting up your hip,do this on the other side as well, often you will find you have a small additional output.I also lean way down in front gently pushing on my stomach, again a little bit more will come out.Have a wonderful time! Safe travels!
Great tip..thanks,Judi…❤️
Yes, Karolyn…we are all in this together…🙏❤️
Thanks for sharing. To help void completely, lean forward with a straight back. It really helps. This tip my dear departed mother passed on to me, which she received originally from her doctor. Love your garden. You and Moose certainly have green thumbsl
same advice given to me by a nurse
That’s part of my routine, Mary….and also applying slight pressure to upper and lower stomach with my hands❤️
I understand all your worries because I’m a big worry wart😊. As far as the other thing, I am 67 and I wear pads on a daily basis. I want to make sure I’m protected. The joys of aging 😊
Love u Nanny
Lovely lipstick 💄 makes you look 10 years younger
Your husband is a hero!
I think you are so honest about all these feminine things.
I had a Hysterectomy at the age of 42 year’s, so my Pelvic Floor has been Laminated for many year’s now! 😜
You just have to put your best foot forward and get on with Life.
You have a fabulous Family and they will help you with all they can.
Also, We are here for you.
You can use Us as a Sounding Board!
Take Care and God Bless, Love Cathy🏴xxx
Love you, Cathy…🙏❤️
I know exactly how you feel! My hubby and I were invited by our friends to take a trip to Rome, Italy, to celebrate my 70th Birthday and our wedding Anniversaries but all I can think about is the length of the flight, walking both at the airport and once we get there... will I be able to do it?!? Traveling is SO stressful for us now at this time of our life. Try to focus on the joys of being there and all the things you will see. Love you guys! Stay positive ❤
What a wonderful 70th birthday trip, Carol…enjoy and don’t fret!❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose thank you Nanny. I looked for That’s It! All that come up is a snack
In a few weeks this trip will be a memory, so please slow down and take on all the surrounding and enjoy. You deserve this happy trip!
I’m 76 and used to adore traveling..have not in awhile. We are all going along for the trip! Thanks for taking us!!❤️😍❤️
Now go relax and spend a day smiling. 😊
Thanks, Barb…❤️
Incontinence products (pads, briefs) are a life saver and a work saver (less laundry). All kinds for various purposes.
Talk as much as you want… you’re obviously doing something right… we are all here listening and keep coming back 🙏😊❤️👍
I so understand your worries.
Xxx
You are such a joy to listen to. Hugs.
Shannon Gaddy
Dear Nanny don’t ever feel that you can’t talk to us about anything. We all love you and Moosie and we care very much about you guys.
You help us all the time with so many issues and we so appreciate it.
Remember friends are there for each other
So just keep thinking about how much fun you’ll have with your family and the lovely things you’ll see and be doing.
Have the best time you guys!
You both deserve it.
Love and blessings to you both
Shannon❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
Thanks, Shannon, for the encouragement…❤️
Greetings Nanny! I always have travel anxiety when preparing for a trip. Maybe it's even normal! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Excuse me, I need to go potty!... Love you guys.
😂😂😂❤️
Have a wonderful trip and time with family and friends. Enjoyed your vlog today..great tips and your garden is lovely. Moosie is looking well and love his sense of humour!
Hi Nanny, Regarding painful knees, I was advised by a nurse to take Glucosamine Chondroitin for arthritis in my knees. It has helped me so much. Whenever I have run out of it, my pain starts up again, so, I assume that it’s working! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for the tip, Patricia..❤️
I’m so glad you spoke about incontinance❤Thank you Nanny
So wear your poise pad or depends and enjoy your trip...it could be a worse problem 😕
I wouldn't fret too much about any of the things that you can only carry in a 3oz size and all must fit into a quart sized bag.
What a great idea,cSenerity…thank you…]❤️
You are so right with aging problems, we all do different things in our own way. Thank you for sharing all these tips. Blessing to you all enjoy your trip. 🙏👍👏😘
Looking good Moosie!
Thanks for this 🙏When I was younger raising my four kids I could go anywhere and no worries 😊 Now at 77+ everything is a much bigger deal and like yourself the worries come my kids say “Mom” calm down 🙁Right there with you had Hysterectomy and severe prolapse in 2001 every once in awhile I laugh or sneeze and oh oh like you said Thank Goodness I am hanging on and thankful to be here🙏👍
Thank you, Jane..❤️
Nanny….you gave me a great belly laugh when you posted you looked like a proper farmer and only needed a pitch fork!!
I understand fully about your concern a lot flying, my son is taking me to Paris in July for my 84th Birthday…..hope I’m up for it as I just had thyroid surgery. I recognized a few years ago that taking a few more minutes after a pee was worth the wait, there was more there….love you, I’m so excited to go along with you on your trip🥰
Enjoy Paris with your son,Nancy…❤️
Thank you for sharing your time Nanny ...you are actually a great source for stress release..very pleasant to hear all about you and Moose.. is day to day adventures 👍take care and may you both have a very enjoyable safe🥰 trip..
Thanks,Sharia…❤️
Nanny and Moose, I hope you have a blast in Idaho! Safe travels too! I look forward to hearing how much fun you had up North! I also look forward to seeing how your newly planted seeds flower and display their beautiful blooms! It's all good! ❤
Nanny please don't apologize for telling us your worries. We all do have worries. We are a family here . We all love both of you and are willing to listen to your worries and concerns.
I love your channel!
Thanks for sharing & talking about what all of us of a certain age begin to worry about these private issues. It makes all feel better knowing we’re all in this together. Hope your trip is full of fun & love.
Hi Nanny, that "Skunk-Story"
Was so funny, I told all of my family and we were laughing like crasy.
Don't worry so much about the trip, there are so many people around you, that are going to help you. You will see, it all will work out just fine. And think of all the people people, that include you in there prayers.
Love ❤, Elke
Love your honesty & videos!!!
I love your vlogs so much! I am in my early 70s, but am still working. Listening to you is like having an older sister with such great advice! I hope you all have a wonderful trip to Idaho!
Thanks so much, Naomi..❤️
Bless your heart, such a worry about the trip.Think you will be ok.But yes,we woman have some of the same problems as we get older. Not much fun,but glad to still be alive.Wishing you both the best.
Thank you so much for all you share. I have all the same worries. You’re so precious to all of us. Love love love you🥰🥰🥰🥰
Nanny, you seem to have everything under control for your trip. Your children are their for you all the way. Enjoy your time in Idaho. 🥰
Thanks for commenting, Bobbie❤️
Nanny,
You look cute in your outfit!
I am praying everything goes easy and well for your trip!
Your garden looks pretty and the plants well be beautifulwhen you get back!!
I enjoyed the chat about incontinence.
You and Moose have a wonderful week end!
Thank you, Judy…❤️
Nanny, get a wheelchair for yourself too. I do that and put my cat carriers on my lap.
Don’t worry all will work out, it always does you know. The plane people will help you a lot. I don’t mind you sharing your concerns. You feel responsible and are for Moose too. And just wear a pad. Enjoy the process, of going to Idaho . all is well. Hugs to both of you. 💝
I’m 82 and travel once or twice a year to visit children who live 1200 miles from me. Yes, each year I worry a little more than the year before about my walking which has become so unstable making it difficult to walk the aisle, worrying about unexpected
bathroom accidents on the plane and what would I do if the unthinkable happens. But wanting to see the family is a greater desire than the fear of the problems so I continue to put my fears aside and make the reservations. Have a safe trip!!
I so agree with you, Marjorie…and I applaud your strength to travel so far to see children❤️
I find that a diet rich in potassium food's eliminated this problem for me. 😊
Thank you! 💕💖💕
Thanks, Lindafor joining in…❤️
You will have a wonderful time! I know flights are a worry. I book seats based on where restrooms are located. We just returned from over 14 hour flight from Dubai and it was a challenge and I’m almost 20 years younger than you 💜🇨🇦
Pads are a must. Also someone told me Just sit there! But every two hours during the njght. Disrupted sleep. Good video!
Have a great trip! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So happy you’ve recovered from the disease, Donna…❤️
