every movement she makes is so graceful, I bet she'd be phenomenal at ballet!
Fancy running into you here ;)
chrissstttiiine Yesss! So true. Inspiring haha how delicate she is with her skin
chrissstttiiine I
to me its irritatingly flegmatic..
@@penttijyrinki She reminds me of this documentary I saw of Anais Nin, whose writing I love...but Oh that weird little girl voice...
her voice and presence is incredibly soothing
At 0:46 Isabelle mentions using thermal water to neutralize "calcium" and chlorine.
Wanted to decode for everyone! She says the same thing in the How To: Clean Your Face video but says "calcaire" instead of calcium. Calcaire is French for limestone. French water is really really heavy in lime deposits (ie "hard water") and NYC water is also really hard water. This is part of the reason why French beauty routines often avoid using tap water.
Thank you for explaining thatm Kathryn. I have hard water where I live too, so this is valuable information.
The water supply in my home has been tested, and it's potable, good water with the good figures of all minerals and everything water should be. So my question is do I still need the thermal spray when my water has been proven to need no filtration or RO?
Ya that's a good question. I'm not a dermatologist but I like to read up on this stuff for fun. Let me vomit up what I've learned but I'm no where near the final word on this.
I guess I'd say that if you have potable rather than hard water, you can probably skip thermal water. Thermal water might be a good replacement and soother for hard water if you didn't want to try a "water free" face regime with micellar water (another French thing!).
Otherwise, I'm also a bit confused about the benefits of thermal water otherwise. Avène claims that their thermal water helps to preserve the "epidermal barrier" but generally, the skin's acid mantle is considered an important part of this barrier. The acid mantle however is acidic, on the lower end of the pH spectrum (4.5-6.5), whereas Avène thermal water has a pH of 7.5.
Often, when dermatologists recommend soap-free cleansers, it has to with how soap tends to have a very alkaline pH of 9-10. This ends up disrupting the skin's acid mantle leaving your skin more vulnerable to bacteria and infection. So perhaps Avène can help to counteract the alkalinity of soap without being too harsh.
thebeautybrains.com/2014/05/is-soap-bad-for-skin/
Thank you. That's certainly more than I knew. I knew about skin's general ph but didn't know about avene's. And I was seriously considering buying it sometime because I've been seeing it a lot recently.
Just a note - potable water could be categorized as hard water, mainly it just means that it is drinkable. Some mineral "mixtures" in water are drinkale within reason. But hard water can differ between private wells, water towers, etc. Purified water would probably be the best option.
Four and a half minutes of her voice is more relaxing than an hour of yoga or meditation. Awesome.
Why is her voice so soothing. I wish I could hire this woman to just like whisper skincare facts to me while I get ready in the morning or clean my house.
I adore her soft and gentle demeanor - how lovely and refreshing! Thank you so much for a wonderful video and much advice Isabelle!
So ASMR-y!
Yucky☺
Lauren Wallace same thought!!!! ;) haha
What's that?
that's what I thought too! right away sooo happy to see others think that too. :)
Shayri Garg I had to Google it. It stands for "Autonomous sensory meridian response"
I don't even know how many times i've watched this video i am addicted to it please make more videos with her she is amazinggg
I can't stop watching it, this is so calming.
I LOVE Isabelle Bellis. Her voice is just so soothing.
She is so beautiful and her skin looks so, so healthy. I love how she is so gentle on her skin and though I try not to be harsh, I obviously do need to be much lighter with my touch. I am working on all those things she mentioned to try to make my skin healthy enough to wear no makeup. I'm not quite there, but close. I now only spot conceal problematic areas. I really want my skin to breathe and not be suffocated by products and makeup. Given how youthful and gorgeous her skin is, she is definitely an authority in this area. Beautiful person.
I love this series so much! It's nice to hear about skincare from a facialist
Love this to bits. I've tried out her method for applying moisturiser and it works so well! I once tried massaging my skincare into the skin instead of caressing it like she does and ended up with irritated, inflamed skin :(
This video is very satisfying to watch. Very calming.
Her voice is so relaxing.
Her voice is so calming and graceful.
I'd love to know more about how to look after hormonal acne and pms skin that would be splendid
a clementine I agree !
Agreed! As someone who had it before and gets it from time to time, I would love to see a gentle/more natural approach.
I agree. I changed my routine 3 month ago and I'm seeing a nice improvement but it needs to be perfected.
I use: Sephora_green tea micelar water + La roche posey_Effaclar gel + Evian_water spray + La roche posey_Effaclar duo cream + Erborian_yuza mosterizer (face cream+eyes gel) + Avène_sunscream emulsion.
//
My cousin she had small hormonal acne, she uses only: Bioderma_micelar water
+ Ducray_keracnyl gel + a bunch of Caudalie mosterizing products. And it works great with her, I tried it but since mine is heavier I use now a stronger method ^^
I've been using Avene TriAcnéal, Avenes Cleanance micellar water for oily skin, Garnier's Pureactive 3-in 1 clay, Cutanyl (from doctor), Hexomedine transcutanée, la Roche-posay's zinc spray. Evening primrose oil supplements and Diatomaceous earth.
Have had no more hormonal chin acne (although still have some spots on left cheek and one or two on other cheek but seems to be going away).
Patience is key I suppose!
.
Her voice is forever soothing.
This is my favorite video on the internet
She's so beautiful and graceful and her voice is so relaxing
Vanessa M. Omg, you look so beautiful as well! Are you French? x
Actually what I know and what several dermatologist have said is that you should wear your sunscreen during the day always. No matter what the weather is. Coz even if it's raining there is still sun and there is still UVA rays which can damage your skin and increase the chances of having skin cancer. You also need to re-apply after 3 hours coz the sunscreen wears off.
Nadia Al Ofcoarse dermatologist will tell you to wear sunscreen all the time. It's part of their business for selling it, even when you don't need it.
They also neglect the fact that the sun plays an important roll in vitamin D production.
@@May71234 Dermatologists aren't selling sun screens. & when is the time you would need sunscreen? When your skin cells are being damaged? Because that happens from the first ray of UV. That can be analytically measured.
@@laurenbi Not the sun itself, rather UV rays. Now I kindly ask you to look at some actual data and studies where they have followed the relation of vitamin D production and sunscreen use. You may surprise yourself.
@Madelen Do you have evidence of what ever chemical you were referring to being absorbed? I would honestly be curious to know which ones you meant, since I wondered which would be tiny enough to do so.
Generalizing synthetic sun screens makes no sense, there are so many. Not everything is the same.
Since you mentioned there is actual science behind it: Show me where it's not reliable.
I loved the little tour at the beginning, so beautiful.
One of my favorite videos ever!
I like the fact that she does not pile on products, I never really liked that and I am not sure how 5 products at once can act to improve your skin. In regards to the spf thing, yes the general consensus is wear spf always, however, again, I believe in balance and I believe that your skin also needs to see a little bit of sun if you are not using products that can make it sensitive like accutance) so perhaps once in a blue moon you can go outside when it is cloudy without it.Think about the kids that always have hypoalergenic, antibacterial things, they are always more sensitve because your body need to learn to react to it. The beauty industry is a huge business and they invest imensly in convincing you that you need things like 100+ spf n the rain and 12 different types of products. I am saying this as a bit of a beauty addict who likes to try things and of course buy their products.
She is lovely! Beautiful voice and just relaxing to watch!!! Great Techniques !!
Everything about this video was so relaxing
One of the reasons she has amazing skin - she doesn't wear makeup - quality skincare makes great skin rather than using makeup to cover up flaws and make it worse
Lovely video but those Joelle products she uses are ridiculously expensive! Having just checked out their website. Are there any cheaper alternatives you can suggest? And would you be able to list the products she uses in the video? Thanks
I will follow this advice religiously!
so sooothing but at the same time makes me want to treat my skin at an extreme level !
Omg. Her skin is amazing.
oh my god she has the most perfect skin and bone structure. beautiful 💖
so calm and pure
Isabelle, show us a night time routine! Especially how to remove makeup properly pleaseee
She is so gracious
Refreshing to see a facialist that says you should give your skin a sunscreen break sometimes. I agree
So lovely! I could listen to this all day. I liked the facial massage techniques and will be trying them out.
UVA uvb rays can still cause damage on cloudy days and even through windows when your inside
I LOVE SKINCARE VIDEOS. My current skincare is up to 9 products 2 times a day, aside my nightime routine.
Love this! More Isabelle please!
best ASMR ever
Came for info, stayed for asmr.
She has beautiful skin
Please post more Isabelle Bellis videos. Whatever she's doing, anything! Just please let her speak longer. This is for meditation purposes.
her home is gorgeous!
She is so cute and her voice is so soothing ...
I love this facialist!!! Wish she was here in LA. I 100% use thermal water because of her ^_^
tamillina Have you checked out Nerida Joy's channel? She's based in LA and seems great at her job and kind to her clients.
this is ASMR sugar
I want to listen to her and watch her all day !!!
The French accent is so beautiful & sexy to listen too! Her voice is so soothing! Great tips 💜
So adorable! Love watching her videos!
She's amazing I love her vibe she needs Instagram!
Thank you for sharing the tips. Reminds me a bit of the Korean Skincare routine :)
What's the products that are used in the video?
all best x
This made me long for my days in spas... Ahh, what a soothing room Isabelle has! I could totally have a nap right now. :D
Best skincare vid I've seen
she's the classiest woman
obsessed with this lady
Isabelle you are wonderful-thank you✨
I love her voice!
Unintentional ASMR 👍
have avoided the sun and used eye cream since my 20s. I don't have any wrinkles, just the typical droop around the mouth and a few dark spots, nothing major. I don't spend a lot of $$ on it. keep it simple. chasing perfection is exhausting
so many ASMR tingles!
She's beautiful!! Does anyone her age? Her face very youthful and plump! Love her message on self-care!
I'm all for surgical enhancements. Let's be transparent about this, so we give girls a chance to have healthy perceptions of themselves and beauty
love her look and think she's adorable.
She's so beautiful!
I love everything about her
Her skin looks pretty incredible for her age
How old is she?
I have so many beautiful serums on my French style vanity
This is so soothing
She has natural rouge and cheekbones contoured for the gods. When I have money I will come back and follow this religiously!
it took me a minute into the video to realise this wasn't a satire.....
LMAO☺
lamponthefloor for real. I lost it @3:16
Yeah I’m sorry but I’ve hit more informative videos. (I.e SOKOGLAM) this is French romance boring. CAUDALIE skincare is so much better if you want the experience of French skincare. (Informative & loving)
Is it harmful for the skin if we wash our face with warm water? I heard it causes our skin to wrinkle and age faster. :'(
i could listen her talking all day long
Pretty face and lovely voice
i like her face shape & cheek bones
She looks like a peach! Perfect skin!
She's so charming!
aaahh this lovely lady again :3
she is like a peach fruit ... just adore her !
Not to be a hater but I recognize bunny whiskers when I see them. If this lady has been getting botox for years as those "whiskers" suggest, it's kind of disingenuous to suggest that your skincare routine is solely responsible. I've heard this about french women - that they do much more in the pursuit of beauty than they will ever admit.
Ally Wallis Yeah, I agree.
Thank you for being first to say this. I get that she is a facialist and this is part of her job. HOWEVER, come on- lets all be real. Aint nothing wrong with fillers or Botox- just admit to it!
Does she have to admit to having botox in every public appearance she makes? To every client? Let her be.
MOST women will not admit they have had anything done in the pursuit of beauty..
Na. Only when she's trying to sell me a youth enhancement product.
I use acv dilluted in rosewater to neutralize tap water I use to rinse my face, cheap and natural
Her house is all I want in life!! 😍😍
Love the way she said "combo" :P
Really dislike when she advises people to not where sunscreen on rainy days. Very irresponsable. "But sunscreen really sticks to your skin" it's either that or botox and skin cancer. Wear sunscreen everyday, people.
Mome Gnome wtf are you even saying do you hear yourself
I’m allergic to sunscreen.
We dont wear sunscreen and we live ....
Just take care of your skin and stay out of the sun
You don’t need sunscreen everyday. It can also be bad for you in and of itself. Our skin also needs some sun (to absorb vitamin d). Be careful in the sun for sure but how this translated into wear sunscreen in the rain I don’t know.
My mother is 75 and she has never wore sunscreen in her life and she looks like she is 50. What gives wrinkles is SUGAR+ SUN That's all.
big kiss from USA . Thank you for your video.
This is so beautiful.
Sa voix est très belle j’sais pas mais c’est très calme
Her Appartement 😍😍😍
Amazing.. thank you very much
what's the brand of that sunscreen she used??
She is so charming and lovely.
omg dyiiiing she's so cute! But does this woman seriously spend 15$ for a can of Avène mineral water which she sprays on her face and then promptly dabs off?
plus it's a hydrosol bottle, not so earth friendly. Made me a bit hesitant to try it :/
I adore spraytamin waters
How incredibly gorgeous and lovely she is!
Nice, lovely advice!
It drives me crazy when people apply serums onto the palm of their hand then rub it around. 90% of it is absorbed into your hand!
More of her please
so soothing
Love her earrings :)
Watching this video is self care.
