Scott I learn to play the guitar for folks songs... And this cowboy song by Paul Ridges is a great lyrical song. I love your version of the tune down to Db (C#) has the folk picking sound to it. I am going to learn this song using your technic. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Love from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Scott honestly this is a very well put together video. This is a very thought provoking and amazing style of guitar where you play both parts of the piano. I would love to see new content from you. The key to UA-cam is to just keep uploading :). Hope to see you soon!
Late to the party... Learning it... The finger picking pattern is a bit different than the little I've done in the past. And my fingers are a bit chunky for a couple of those combinations. But will get there! I know it's been up 7 years. Give me a couple more practice sessions with it :) Great video!
If you play the arpeggios in barre chords and then the accompanying run down chord figures, as you do, you'll come a lot closer to the essence of the song, and re-create the "power" of the Piano. I just saw Bad Company live in September, and when you watch Paul Rodgers play he lays it down heavy.. your version is like "the folk" version and could stand some heavy-ing up :) Good interpretation tho!
