Your instructional style and passion is fantastic. It’ll take me 673 replays to get close, but worth every instructional moment. Thanks so much for sharing!
Angela, I have watched your lessons on a few songs the past few years, and you are really good with teaching beginners, and even the experienced on a song they may not know. I am one of the experienced and we all keep learning over the years of playing our beautiful guitars. Also, we keep learning from each other when we can!!! Guitars are such a beautiful sounding instrument and offer so much peaceful sound and feelings to everyone. One of the most rewarding times when playing is finding chords and strings with a sound that starts in the direction of a song that can be written, and just hits a feeling and sound of a WOW!!! Keep up the awesome lessons Angela, you are the best!!!
Dear sister, you bought me to a different level, as you I love the strings, and I can't get enough, you made this easy tks. For sharing nice very nice °!!!!
It's one thing to play this on guitar (eazy-peazy), and it's another thing to play it, while singing it! But kudos to you, Angela, for a fantastic lesson (you're an incredibly talented musician and instructor), and mega-kudos (uber-kudos!!) to the great Paul Rodgers, and the Bad Company gang, for sharing this incredibly timeless song with the rest of us. I'm 72-years old now . . . been through Vietnam and a score of other challenges in life, but I think overall, the principal message that most people truly miss about this fine song, is the dark, foreboding nature of the story it tells; the injustice(s) that man, brings upon his fellow man, and the likely future extinction of humanity, because of it all. The perfectly innocent, independent and confident seagull, effortlessly circling the skies, unable to change his very own future, let alone the future of mankind, scurrying aimlessly on earth beneath him . . . "Is this really the end of the world? Seagull, you must have known for a long time, the shape of things to come". Yes, indeed he did! And it's a shape that ain't real "pretty". And as far as my first song ever learned on guitar? Well, I was stationed in the U.S. Army in Germany at the time (1970), and it was "Moon Shadow" by Cat Stevens, now a wrongfully and unjustly labeled "Islamic Terrorist". 🙄
I've been a Bad Co fan for a long time, and played Cant Get Enough a few times in a band. Always wanted to do this one one. I've accidentally managed to do some of it but you've filled in the gaps for me (especially DropD). This will sound great on my 12 string acoustic. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this lesson ! Its so cool to play ! Always loved this tune ! Every since I ran up on your channel , I've gotten so much better at guitar 🎶🎸🎶
Angela my first time watching you I've been playing this song for years and I've been playing the first change in the second position when it goes into the a major but once I watched you i gave me a little different flavor on it thank you so much
HI @AngelaPetrillimusic ... I heard you playing this beautiful song on that 1970's Martin D35 at Norm's. Had to learn to play it and so glad you called out the name and then taught us in a way that only you could. Thanks ... Big fan of yours
Thank you so much for slowing this down!!! One of my favorite songs and pretty much favorite singer. The chords are easy just the timing during verses can throw you off if it's not perfect Going to practice this so I can do all the cool r&b stuff he does with an acoustic. 😎
Amber! Don't you know that you are a shooting star🎸 Thanks for sharing all of your gifted skills! I'm new and am learning some easier tunes but am excited to get to work on your stuff soon. Very 😎
Angela, you are such a great teacher. I especially like your acoustic lessons and your guitar sounds magnificent. Couldn’t help thinking that the drop D tuning sounds so early Zeppelin or Joe Walsh.I would love to hear you cover some Rory Gallagher acoustic guitar. ‘The Barley And Grape Rag’ or ‘Out On The Western Plain” (for all those DADGAD freaks out there!). ❤️
You are awesome! I love watching you, and learning from you because you are such a pleasant instructor to watch and listen to. You take the time to teach, and that is extremely important! That distances you from most of the other UA-cam guitar wanna be instructors. Thank you for taking the time to teach us these wonderful songs! You are appreciated. I’m new to the guitar, but am a life long drummer. Just decided to switch gears for a change. Oh … And this is my first song, and you are my first instructor. I couldn’t think of a more beautiful song and instructor to start my journey with! Just say’n! Keep up the great work! 😎👍🏼
Hello Angela. You have helped me greatly on several songs now! Subscribed and liking each vid I see! Thank you! Question for you, is there a reason you alternate your first and second finger on the descending bass line on the D chord, instead of just reaching for each of those bass notes with your first finger? If you see this and answer, thank you! Thank you!
My suggestion would be to just sit an listen to the song first, then play it. Feel the beat an rhythm of the song. It's gentl. Like a segul ? Well i mean like a dove. Lol Great lesson!
I like u kid ! Lots! a friend sent me a link, great smile great skills great personality in short STAY GREAT😳…🤔…🦅…(I’m sorry what? That’s an eagle? Very good you pinpointed the obvious ,now what’s the point,oh song is about as a seagull! Great! thank for that info! I’m sorry what? I mean kidding! Not about my skills they are pretty sound! Better be after decades, but who cares skills sh shmills you can always learn from others plus you are super duper entertaining, i help kids who are starting out !person to person …one on one type sitch wax! I’m gonna recommend that they watch you in between lessons!no in fact I will demand that they do as a homework assignment!till we meet again!perhaps we will meet in person but till next time keep on kicking some ase(not a typo Ase=ass.🤨 )and taking names!don’t ever lose that goofy smile and that sense of humor!❤️🙏✍️🎸

An autistic girl that I knew in the 80's loved playing that song. She didn't talk much. She had a shirt that said "Seagull".
