I met the MC Evenson Allen from RatPack about 18 years ago as i dropped my wallet and he found it and as i had a DJ SS track written in my wallet he recognised i was into old skool hardcore so when he met me at Angel tube station he told me he'd seen the name DJ SS in my wallet opened the boot of his car and gave me a CD of there set in IBIZA which was cool of him and i thanked him gave him a hug we talked for a bit to, unfortunately that CD was destroyed in a house fire along with all my old skool hard core and jungle and dnb vinyl and my 4 technics decks but it was so cool to meet someone so prevalent in the scene i still to this day have so much love for, thanks Evenson for returning my wallet and the CD that ii loved, your a an amazing human being.
love love love... Platinum101 was an under 18 only club back in the 90s..all they played was Happy Hardcore...this mix is amazing! greetings from New Zealand..
I had this set included in a 6 pack tape set from The Edge (first bit was cut out though) when I was 12 in 1994 -I got into hardcore/rave around 9/10 and this was at the cusp of the scene splitting into happy hardcore/jungle and D&B so this set for me was very vital for the coming years! I must of cained this set and always go back to it on UA-cam ☺ Thank you for the upload and the memories my friend 💜👊
@@Viczarratt yeah I recall Champion Sound got cained on afew Edge tapes I had during 93/94 -my mum and dad clearly saw I was developing a obsession with the rave scene at the time so every gift I had was tape packs ☺
@@Viczarratt to be honest I couldn't put a real number on it after tape packs came into play -my first tape pack from 93 was Dreamscape 6 and I had most of them upto 23 then I had afew Helter Skelters, Dance Paradise, Some early Dance Planet ones then loads of single ones from Obsession, Fantaiza and Diehard etc! When I started secondary school me and afew friends used to copy tapes from each other too -stupidly in my mid 20s I either gave them away or threw them out 😂
Have a copy of this CD myself. Anyone know what the remix of move your body is in there. It used to be on UA-cam with a white label picture years ago but can't seem to find it now.
Happy Hardcore was originally very breakbeat oriented. It didn't really adopt the techno/gabber style until "Bouncy Techno," popularised by artists like Scott Brown.
@@urphakeandgey6308 100 % same as the U.k. European interpretation of hardcore is very very different. U.K is this style European was more the techno variety.

I remember that tape - it had a longer ending and had the Q-project Champion sound tune, which sort-of made up for the intro tunes being cut out.
