The exact thing happened to me. Snapped my acl and all my meniscus. BY THE TIME I GOT SURGERY MY QUAD WAS THE SIZE OF MY THUMB... So after 5 yrsbon pain meds,,,, I wasnso hooked I thought I could have a drink or 2 a night like a normal person and get off the meds..After all I was 12 years sober, I did get off the meds, but I WAS WRONG about drinking like a normal person. So off the wagon 2 BAD years! So now I'm 18 months sober again... but went through so much trauma through some crazy and horrible events. Ren is my addiction now. ❤😢😊❤
Sadly Ren is also not feeling good. He needed to go into the ER after a videoshoot because of his autoimmune issues.
Let's hope he gets well soon.

Ray, I don’t know if you sometimes look to Ren’s IG or UA-cam Community tab but the last week he has been posting about his health rapidly going worse.
Yesterday we got this message from his team;
”During his last video shoot Ren ended up in A&E due to complications with his autoimmunity. His accounts will be temporarily managed by his team of friends while he is resting and in recovery”.
After that, total silence.
My heart bleeds for him. He has been through years of hell already. Enough now!!!

Ren and Knox being independent artists here on YT are game changing. I've been actively interacting with both of their channels for a long time. You know what, I almost NEVER see either of their new stuff in my algorithm. I may see a short from 2 years ago. What dropped on their channel in the past month. NOPE, not happening. This is part of the "machine" that is silencing the artists who won't play the money game and doing something of substance. Hop Hop fan since Blondie and Sugar Hill. The shit after 1990 when the gansta shit started really turned me away from it. I look at my CDS/Records and see all conscious rappers - De La Sol, Public Enemy, KRS One, Eminem, Tupac and the like, fun rappers - Doug E. Fresh, LL Cool J, Sir Mix-a-Lot and those crews, then bass - DJ Magic Mike (still rocking with him on Twitch), Two Live Crew, Tech Master PEB, etc., then a desert. West Coast vs East Coast thug up, bitches and 304s, fk that. It was okay for a minute and then I NOPED OUT. I have recently got back into it with NF, Knox and Ren. It's delightful to see these artists make come up, too bad the "music industry" hates their autonomy. Keep shining a light on these creators so we can bring back the good stuff.

I am a big fan of Ren, but don't know who Knox Hill is and IMO this song has a great message, but this song was not very good. The beat and the lyrics do not flow well together. It feels like it was rushed to me.
Everything being put together at the moment will be a scramble, I'm afraid. He's off for more rounds of intensive medical treatment in Canada in October. Probably down for a few weeks to months again. Peace.
I disagree. I love the structure of this. The reflection of conscious hip hop in the first verse and how a shift happened in the mainstream that changed the trends and celebrated violent rap and drug use for sales. The storytelling of the second verse. The perspective from Knox's cousin in his final moments of the third. And Ren making a song within a song with his chorus to represent the rush and party sound of a dealer and drugs. I think this was well thought out and masterfully done

As a recovering addict this song hit hard for me. I almost died from opiates, went to prison for it for 3 years (which saved my life).... unfortunately not a lot of those i cared about that were hooked made it out, regardless of jail time or not, and I've lost so many to the disease of addiction and have family and friends still struggling with it!
