I started to wirelessly charge. Not a big deal. I've noticed if you press down hard on the charging cable against the port it starts to take a charge, so I'm guessing the inside of the port is a little warped or something Of 4 LG v60 I bought used, 2 have bad ports. That's just terrible for a 1.5 year old phone. No point spending money to fix them, since you can buy them used for $100 these days.

You can probably get by with removing a screw from a spot that snaps in pretty good. Like the one off to the side of the battery. The ones up top need to keep contacts down
Maybe charging port is bad, maybe try charging wirelessly see if it turns on. Or maybe try holding down the power button and volume down button until it responds. Kinda hard to say.

So i did this, my phone was working good prior to the replacement, only issue i had was i had to turn my speaker on and talk through the mic or else the mic wouldnt work over the earpiece.
I went ahead order this part the whole flexcable charging port, mic unit... replaced it. (ive been replacing stuff on andriods and iphones for personal use past 10 years)
and for some reason after i put everything together, the phone only vibrates, doesn't give me any display. I have tried the method of hard restarting it, volume up and power as well... all it does is vibrate in different patterns. i think the phone turns on but doesnt give me display at all. i opened up the phone like 3 times now to address this issue to see if anything is loose but nothing is loose. everything is good. ive checked it like 3 times now over and over doesnt work. even tried throwing the phone in the freezer, same result, only vibrates... any idea what could be going on with it? LG V60 ThinQ
I can say is to double check all ribbon cables for tears and check lego connections, make sure they are connected correctly.
Any luck in troubleshooting / final repair?
@@YbarraProductions nah bro, kinda just gave up on it, trouble shooted for 2 days straight no luck
@@evtpr3dat0rx62 yikes, looking to repair myself, don't really want to cough up the $200+ to get it repaired, but I guess there's no problem -free solution here
@@YbarraProductions im not sure if it has to do with the part that i installed maybe a counterfiet one, i might give it a shot by putting back the old one since the phone was fully functional except the mic... that being said, i can only do it if i find the old part lmao
Please make this one video next time
I started to wirelessly charge. Not a big deal. I've noticed if you press down hard on the charging cable against the port it starts to take a charge, so I'm guessing the inside of the port is a little warped or something
Of 4 LG v60 I bought used, 2 have bad ports. That's just terrible for a 1.5 year old phone.
No point spending money to fix them, since you can buy them used for $100 these days.
Really? Where are y from?
In indonesia the price still at $400-500
I am through the disassembly part, but before moving on, I need help! I lost one of the screws & can't find them anywhere online, except for 600+ piece kits. Would someone please tell me where to order a couple of these screws, or at least the screw's specs?
You can probably get by with removing a screw from a spot that snaps in pretty good. Like the one off to the side of the battery. The ones up top need to keep contacts down
@@SICERIKTECH That's exactly what I did, but before committing to permanently closing the back, I'd like to have all the screws in...
You have any dead lg phone lying around?...open it and take the screw from the dead lg phone...
I'm having issues with my charging port too one minute my charges then it doesn't I'm think about taking it to a repair shop
My LG V60 suddenly turns off while charging and get hot. can't turn on anymore. Can i get some advice what to do? Thank you
Maybe charging port is bad, maybe try charging wirelessly see if it turns on. Or maybe try holding down the power button and volume down button until it responds. Kinda hard to say.
I've tried the button combination but no respond.
Or it can be trouble of IC power ? 🙏
HELP!, ive redone this 3 times and while the charging port works the bottem speaker dosent, ive bought a new part for everything that could be the problem but still nothing, and help would be appreciated
This happened to me recently, luckily I had and extra ribbon. You have to be careful when prying up lego connection for fingerprint sensor. You can easily break little diodes on top of+- speaker connection. Pop off fingerprint sensor from the bottom
when I reconnected everything the front camera stopped working it turns black help?
Just double checking all your lego ribbon connections before glueing the back on. Power it on first. Sometimes the connections aren't secure
hey bud i changed everything but now my phone says its on airplane mode
any ideas what i did wrong?
Did you connect the black antenna wire?
@@SICERIKTECH The one with top and bottom connections?
i did have an issue with the left side small ribbon connection
right above the battery can that be it?
@@3232buddah if something doesn't work it's always a good idea to check and reconnect all ribbons and cables
I assume you lose waterproofing
Yes
Hello guys I replaced the cable with new old one and everything is ok it changes with every cable that I connect now I can replace the charging port on my old cable and see is the port or something on the cable itself
hi, after I replace the port and put back everything, the screen won't respond to my touch, would you have any insight as to why?
Disconnect the panel and reconnect, usually works. Make sure everything works before sealing the back on
friend of mine v60 the fingerprint sensor unlocks with any finger even without being registered how to solve this problem? I already changed the sensor and it stayed the same, it didn't work
Is Smart Lock by any chance turned on? If set to any Bluetooth device, it will keep unlocked
Probably would of replaced the battery at the same time just to have a new battery so that wouldnt have to be done again anytime soon
Та сама історія, заряджається лише за допомогою безпровідної зарядки, а провідною зарядкою щось не дуже.
LG v60 thinq 5g charger step. Price.ok.
And now don't have ip 68
I will not be doing this. If I did you'd have to title the video, "How I ruined my cell phone."
And I've got my cable from AliExpress for 25$
This is so damn annoying, as I wondered why my android auto kept disconnecting! GAH
