Terry Reid went from somebody I never heard of to being my hands down favorite artist and sound the past few years. And it’s honestly from Rob Zombie using Reid’s music in Devils Rejects that introduced me to my new favorite type of music
Thank you for posting this. The drummer Keith Webb was my stepfather and I've never seen this before. He died a few years ago in Spain. It is great to see him in action, thanks again.
+Tom Dyke He was a cool guy. I met him in LA back in the day. Back then, during breaks, the bands would come out and sit at the tables with the customers and talk. He was soft spoken and kinda low key but maybe because he was young, about 21 and still learning. He was a great drummer and just right for T. Reid's rock voice..
+Tom Dyke Truly sorry for your family's loss. I discovered Terry Reid via this movie a few years ago. Really thought that Keith was so talented and quick witted. I abolutely LOVE Paladin too. Am always saying I wish I could have a time machine and travel back in time to see these great bands/artists I wasn't around for the first time!
+Follow The Sun Very cool story though was that Keith Webb you're talking about? He and Pete Solly left Terry late 69 and formed the band Paladin here in the UK. Keith was a fair bit older than Terry too .Terry was 19/20 when Groupies was made ,Keith would have been around his mid-thirties, 35ish ,I think? Keith was already a very experienced drummer by then he had played with famous jazz musicians and had been Donovans' drummer, certainly not still learning?!
We're making a Terry Reid model of guitar, according to his wishes. I saw Terry 68 in Seattle opening for the Moody Blues met my first girl friend that night.... so long a go Mark and the Seattle Guitar Shop gang
Hendrix brought him to American attention. The first time i saw him I had front row seats at the Spectrum in Philly for the second to last US show of Cream. Reid and band opened for him on a revolving stage.
This is my favorite version of Bang Bang ever. I've seen the whole documentary but just saying...wish that guy that was in love with the drummer wouldn't have been talking so much during this part.
Yeah, but partying with their idols, that must have been great fun! In the movie they also seemed kinda lost, living together in this shabby apartment, they didn't seem to have much else going.
Joe Bonamassa now owns that Tele. Let me tell you, I like Terry the best, but it's good to know this legendary guitar it still being played a lot on tour :)
I heard a relatively recent interview with Terry, where he tells the story of hanging out with Johnny Depp and Johnny asked him to play bang bang. Terry was so surprised and asked “how do you know about bang bang?” lol. does he realize it’s one of his most iconic songs?
terry is a talent not only then but now. in his late 60s he still is a great friend and astounds me everytime we hook up and see him play. he doesnt realise yet im to be a father. i see him in may and hes in for a big suprise when he sees my partner tinas belly lol
You were four and I was six Rode on horses made of sticks You wore black and I wore white You would always win the fight Bang, bang, you shot me down Bang, bang, I hit the ground Bang, bang, that awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot me down You grew up and I left town I will always call you mine You would always laugh and say Remember when we used to play Bang, bang, you shot me down Bang, bang, my whole heart hit the ground Bang, bang, that awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot me down You were always young at heart Now you're gonna get this part You always laugh and say Remember when you used play, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah To this day I don't know why To the lonesome times I cry Wouldn't even try to lie about The times we knew inside Bang, bang, you shot me down Bang, bang, I hit the ground Bang, bang, that awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot me down Now we're torn and all apart Thought that we were always smart You would always laugh and say Remember when we used to play Bang, bang, you shot me down Bang, bang, I hit the ground Bang, bang, that awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot me down, yeah You were always young at heart Now you're gonna get this part You would always laugh and say Remember when we used play Bang, bang Bang, bang My baby shot me down
Terry Reid's vocals are just mind blowing.
This is real Rock music, love the '60s and the '70s ❤

KentishWench Thanks for clearing that up. Perhaps your right. He definitely wasn't 35 so I am wrong. Regards,
I dropped acid with them at the Sky River Lighter then Air Festival in Tanino Washington in 69.

best version ever.
Hendrix brought him to American attention. The first time i saw him I had front row seats at the Spectrum in Philly for the second to last US show of Cream. Reid and band opened for him on a revolving stage.
Bruce Levy You lucky fella.
I saw him open for Cream in Baltimore. Also on the bill Moody Blues! Those were the days.
My older brother had the LP… great to see a live clip of TR belting it!!
I had it on 8 track.
This is my favorite version of Bang Bang ever. I've seen the whole documentary but just saying...wish that guy that was in love with the drummer wouldn't have been talking so much during this part.

Deborah Jones His version? Or this specific video rendition?

NEVER EVER EVER GET SICK OF THIS
Thank you for posting. I fell in love with Terry Reid in 1969. He should have played Woodstock!
Thanks to The Continental. Found this version and it’s brilliant
What a great voice...

Great harmonies at the End, Cute as well,....the Dissident 70's, at it's best,......or worst!
Best version of this. It's the shit! CRANK IT
Fantastic!
Total respect forever. .°8
Stunning 👌👌
*Terry Reid - Bang Bang - (Groupies, USA, 1969)* - My baby shot me down! Drums are mass killer :)))
Kinda reminds me of Steve Marriott vocally. Great old footage!
Terry was a contemporary of Steve. I think it's true to say that Britain was blessed where Soul/Blues and R&B singers were concerned in the 60s.
Literally the perfect cross between Marriott and Rod Stewart😂
@@avi_s0ncin0 I agree with Plant voice as well...although Plant was later
Goldie Glitters of the Cockettes!
nice! thank you for sharing.
Keyboard bass? Impressive!
Took acid with the drummer at the Sky River Lighter then Air Festival. Jimi Hendrix discovered him and brought him to the US.
I was there. James Cotton was outstanding.
YEAH!!!’
Who knew Sonny Bono could actually write a great song !!!???!!!
Hey that drum break sound a hell of a lot like a jethro Tull intro
I think he likes the beat
💘
L'original !!!
Terry Reid and Steve Marriott, either would have been great Zep singers/front men.
You were four and I was six
Rode on horses made of sticks
You wore black and I wore white
You would always win the fight
Bang, bang, you shot me down
Bang, bang, I hit the ground
Bang, bang, that awful sound
Bang, bang, my baby shot me down
You grew up and I left town
I will always call you mine
You would always laugh and say
Remember when we used to play
Bang, bang, you shot me down
Bang, bang, my whole heart hit the ground
Bang, bang, that awful sound
Bang, bang, my baby shot me down
You were always young at heart
Now you're gonna get this part
You always laugh and say
Remember when you used play, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
To this day I don't know why
To the lonesome times I cry
Wouldn't even try to lie about
The times we knew inside
Bang, bang, you shot me down
Bang, bang, I hit the ground
Bang, bang, that awful sound
Bang, bang, my baby shot me down
Now we're torn and all apart
Thought that we were always smart
You would always laugh and say
Remember when we used to play
Bang, bang, you shot me down
Bang, bang, I hit the ground
Bang, bang, that awful sound
Bang, bang, my baby shot me down, yeah
You were always young at heart
Now you're gonna get this part
You would always laugh and say
Remember when we used play
Bang, bang
Bang, bang
My baby shot me down
Thank you!
This had something..
great vocals here
Does anyone know why it reads like they are in a city called Groupies? Is that a docu Title?
Jennie Scali The film title, publicated on DVD too
Jennie Scali The film title, publicated on DVD too
Quase entrou no Led Zepellin, a história seria diferente ?!?!?!🎤🥁🎸
E que voz incrível ele tem.
Now I can see Reid replacing Plant.
Goldie wanting the drummer lol
You four, I was six. Played on horses made of sticks. This Groupie documentary is cool, but the abuse is kinda sad.
Quentin Tarantino - Kill Bill.

mysticblake Blake go fuck yourself
Fuck off. Go back to your Justin Bieber.
