Looking at the whole dating advice 'information ecosystem' out there, one principle stands out - "You have to play the game if you are in the game". Meaning that if you are dealing with women in an intimate way you have to play "the game". Furthermore, what is meant by "the game" I assume, is that essentially the women that your dealing with is perceived as an adversary (even if she is your wife for many years) in which you compete against for dominance in the relationship or at the very least you compete to have your desires and wishes prevail over hers. If both your interests align that's great, but the assumption is that they often don't and there you have to know how to play the game in order to win (i.e get what you want). If this is all correct, my question is, does it have to be this way? And secondly, if it does have to be this way....doesn't it make for a miserable existence where you're constantly looking out for yourself and watching your back from the person that is 'closest' to you?
To answer your question, yes. Ever since the first man figured out this game and shared it around, men have been in this power struggle. Just so you know, not all women will struggle against there man. When you get in a relationship test it for yourself and see what type of women you have. Come up with ideas or plans and see if your woman is willing to meet you in the middle or does she make everything about her. And if she does you know what to do. It’s not ideal but when you get your way most of the type you can deal with that lifestyle.(let me tell you now, there are very few women that you won’t have to watch over your shoulder for.)
