I am glad to see a method that does not require a drum sander. And the cabinets behind you are outstanding.

Process is adequate but depends on turner's mastery of the sheer scrape. It does the job. However, when you add the next ring, how do you get the glued side flat ?Thanks

Yes, how do you get the glued side of the next ring perfectly flat?

You never mentioned how you flatten the opposite side before you glued it on...??

My question too! In my segmented bowls, I flatten all my rings by fastening to a planner sled and running thru the planer to make one side flat and then flipping the ring to flatten the other side too. I like the idea of flattening on the lathe but maybe he glues up his rings on a flat enough surface to make the downside true without having to flatten it.
