Only I think I'd keep the 2 pieces of white as one whole piece of 7½" scored at 3½". You'll still have the ⅛" border all around the larger part which makes it fit just right.

Very pretty card! Could you please give us the measurements of the buckle piece?
Sandra Johnston it is just an ephemera piece. It is about 1 1/4” wide and about 1 3/4” long.
Love the card. What is the size of the buckle piece?
