I bought the TNC225R last month after getting tired of waiting for the "next great thing." And now, they upped it again. Am I Irritated? Not really. The dazzle of the TNC225R hasn't worn off yet. I have it set up for my CZ American .17HMR bolt rifle, an AR-15 in 5.56 NATO with a 20-inch barrel, and another in 7.62x39 with a 16-inch barrel. The ballistic calculator JUST WORKS. I swap back and forth and it doesn't matter. The key point is height over bore to get it dialed in. The learning curve was much easier that I expected. The buttons, functions and adjustments are very intuitive. The brilliance of getting day (digital), IR, and thermal all in a 7-inch long package would make you believe in Keeble elves (or leprechauns). I'm sure the new 335R, and 635R are many years away from getting "to the colonies" so the TNC225R will have to do, which it does exceptionally well. Good luck, good hunting.
What a great write up of your equipment list. Sadly it’s the case of technical things now 🤷🏼♂️ what are we on now, the iPhone 18???, I’ve still got one of the first iPhones I use as an alarm clock
I can just imagine how good that scope is going to be so I’m very interested, I’ve just bought the alpex lrf and noticed I loose my rangefinder box after 9.5 mag and can’t see where I’m ranging, can I do anything to bring it into view on all mags cos I’ve seen other people’s scope the box is there in every magnification? I have to keep zooming out to range then zoom back in to take my shot, it’s annoying keep doing that cos I had to zoom in and out 4 times before my shot cos the squirrel kept changing its distance, it started off at 25 yards then went to 40 then to 33 yards then finally shot it at 45 yards,
Hello chap, That’s a common fault that is made worse by how far off true your scope mounting is. Adjustable scope mounts will fix it, by being able to get your scope true to where your barrel is pointing.
@ thanks for your reply, I did wonder if adjustable mounts will help bring it into view and then adjust the zero to poi but then I thought as it’s the image that’s magnified would that even help as the lrf box is set at a certain point from factory, I was thinking of getting it sent back as got 18.5 zooms I can’t range on and pointless keep zooming in and out multiple times before taking the shot
@420Farmer7 Well apparently, every scope is tested in the factory before it leaves , but if you’re really not happy with it, I’d be on the phone to elite optical and ask for their advice and help
@@predatorprotectionuk yeah apparently they are but I’ll try and see if the adjustable mounts will work cos I can see what you mean about truing the scope to the barrel, My gun shop has given me elite optical’s number to call I just saw your vid before calling so thought I’d ask as you’ve tested and reviewed the alpex and many more and trust your opinion,
@420Farmer7 Alpex is great, I think trying the adjustable mounts , OR ! Even turning the ones you’re using now around, might help. Spin them 180 on the rifle, I did that with my Stellar and it brought it almost central
Looks fantastic but why have buttons so small? My problem is I loose feeling in my finger ends in the cold so have to look for the buttons. The two big buttons on the 225 look much better for in the field use
You can feel the two smaller buttons Justin , The only thing I can remember that looked better with bigger buttons was the para smocks worn by the SAS 🤔🥷🥷👍
Uhh I'm confused.. why can't you show live shoot (ie: beasties)/modes on your video. Loads of other UA-cam channels show all night vision scopes target & live cull videos with no issues at all .. Edgun leshy (probably mullered the spelling) for example
We can show shooting on UA-cam DNT have just ask not to show any footage from the new scope until they give the go ahead so Des is respecting their request
Cool! Thanks. I'm hoping for the US release (or at least, announcement) tomorrow! Oddly, in the last 24 hours, at least one UA-camr has already showed video footage from the 335R. It looks pretty darned nice! I did see a comment though, that the ballistic calculator doesn't work. Did that happen to you?
We didn’t try the ballistic calculator as it works on the 225 we assumed it works on here, remember this is 1 of 1 in the uk we are very lucky to get our hands on it to show it to you in the flesh briefly
@@predatorprotectionuk The new models just released here in the states and I ordered mine (335R). 3-4 week lead time. I thought I'd jump on it right away before they sell out. Can't wait!

Thanks for the review 👍
Thank Andy, he was the independent review man 👍
But than you for watching 😉

When the new scope getting released ?got the 255 but want/need the new 1 :) hopefully it comes out before Christmas?
I’m with the uk DNT man next weekend, I’ll see if he knows 👍
Whats the eye relief like on it,does it touch you when firing?
No it didn’t touch when using my .243, I’d say I’m about 3 inches off the back of the scope, plenty of space
I am still blown away with my Zulus, so the new toy on the block must be amazing
It’s something special for sure

I’ve no idea chap, but the latest scope review video originally got blocked, until I wrote a stern comment to UA-cam
What range is the thermal good for?
How far are you confident at shooting?
Looking forward to seeing some footage from this Dave, hopefully wont have to wait too long.

Hi Michael,
You’re well ahead of things here in the UK, I think you’ll love it 👍👍
My thermnight arrived yesterday can not believe how cheap this is for the quality it is
Shhhhh Andrew , they might put up the prices 🤣🤣🤣👍
Really glad you like it chap, let me know how you get on with it please
301 Night Crew have footage.
Honestly cant see the issue with you not being allowed to show what the image looks like through the scope.
Folks who had a loan unit were all asked to hold off showing footage, obviously someone couldn’t read the instructions
better than the 225, can't wait for the 635
Nor can I 👍
Nice one 👍. 🤙🦊
Thanks Dave , just wait til you see the footage
Nice

Your wrong iv got the use of a 335 for a cuple of week to get footage iv had it 2 week now
I was asked Not to show any footage until I was told I could.
What other folks do is up to them
@predatorprotectionuk I can't show any footage either I just send it to them
@@pav532so how about sending me some of this footage you speak of.
@pav532
Yes that’s what I was asked to do, but I could keep it for future use if I wanted to.
