+THE WADS What a lovely idea! If that picture is you, that means your kids are still young. Teach ALL your children to cook, male or female. A five year old is old enough to serve the younger ones (this is often done in montessori schools), and even younger ones can be taught how to wipe and set the table, so everyone can feel part of the meal prep. When they are a tiny bit older, teach them how to make a meal once / week for the family. Meanwhile, as you find "forever" recipes for your family, begin a Family Cookbook. This is the closest I’ve seen on UA-cam to an authentic Italian recipe for fresh tomato sauce. I usually simmer for a long time (hour at least)... Also I sauté a few slices of hot green pepper (like long hots) with the garlic. Adds a nice flavor. Thank you for not adding sugar!
I bet you can taste the positivity and love in everything she makes! Thank you for this recipe, making pasta from scratch for my Mom tonight and needed a sauce.
Great video. Alternatively chop tomatoes in half and roast in the oven with olive oil and basil and a sprinkling of sea salt. Then push them through a sieve to extract the skins and add chopped garlic to the sauce and simmer for half an hour. The roasting intensifies the tomato taste and the simmering allows all the flavours to infuse. Add to pasta and enjoy!
Candace Lewis Pick one tomato out of the oven with a spoon after about half an hour - if the skin falls away from the tomato when you pull it with your thumb and finger they're ready. The temperature should be around 200c so if you're not sure what that is go to a temperature converter and you can find out for your oven. Cheers!

I had to pause it to tell you that I am getting more and more excited about developing my gardening skills (I only started a year ago in July...) to be able to produce some awesome tomatoes as I zoned on you cutting the tomatoes with your sharp knife. (You are so right about dull knives!)
Roast those tomatoes with garlic, basil and a drizzle of olive oil in a 400° oven for 45 minutes to one hour, then mash or puree and finish cooking on the stove top. I add caramelized onions, green pepper, more basil and more garlic (you can never have too much garlic). You'll have a great roasted tomato sauce to enjoy!
This sauce was so easy to make. I used early girl tomatoes from my garden and it came out so amazing. The only thing I did different was whizzy it up at the end cause I like a smooth sauce. It’s so good I can drink it. Thank you so much for the recipe!

jeetenz hurlollz Where are my Toys?
SoundSoCollective i broke your toys to bits after eating pizza with chunky tomato sauce, made by,guess who,MY MOM.
idk why, but whenever I watch her videos, it makes me feel happy, like, I start bubbling with joy. Anyways this video cured my depression, and I got to learn how to make pasta sauce. Thank you kind lady, I hope you have a nice day!
This recipe is soooo simple and sooooooooo good! I let it cook in a large fry pan to evaporate most of the water so it is very concentrated. I like to put it on bow tie pasta. My husband loves it. I also processed it in pint jars for later use this winter. I thank you, dear lady for this recipe. One of the best!
A pinch of sugar takes away the tang in a red sauce just a little hint
a good method but a better one is useing some grated carrot or some orange zest for more natural sweetness and or interesting flavor
I just throw in more butter lol
@@samanthavanscoder9536 you're a straight up savage lmao
Ick, no. If you use the right tomatoes (like San Marzano) you don't need added sugar.
@@williamreely3455 Sugar actually should be used in almost all sauces, as well as salt. Remember, sugar doesn't just cut the acidity of the tomatoes, but it balances the salt and helps bring everything together.
I always dreamed of being an Italian, cooking as an Italian, I love all about it. I have my own tomatoes and herbs this year and want to try this asap. I loved the way you explained. I just subscribed and will be searching for your other videos. P.S. My Italian speaking is way too little, time to improve now! You are awesome, thanks. I love things made simple, from scratch, homemade, a little bit of this, a handful of that...all this and moving to the country and ...oh well...
La signora nel video non è italiana e la sua salsa di pomodoro è indecente.
So how did it go?
"If you like a glass of vino you can add that too"
I love this woman
I have spent the better part of a week looking for a good video on how to make "fresh" spaghetti sauce. Finally found one that doesn't use any canned stuff and doesn't mush their sauce in to soup. Thank you so much.
So I had a couple tomatoes and basil from my garden and looking for a quick recipe and voila! This was too good! Fresh ingredients really makes a difference.. followed the exact recipe and after 10mins on the pan, it’s done!
Mmmm real sauce, thank you! Goodbye/adios to Ragu and all the other fake stuff!
I like this recipe. Everything fresh, short time to cook and keep nutrition.XDD
Putting this on my zucchini spaghetti! 😋😘
Zucchini Strings, not spaghetti. You gluten free fools piss me off!
Love her. Such a positive and bright soul. Love the the way she teaches her dishes!
Your voice is sooo soothing!! It was very peaceful to watch you make that sauce🙏🏽❤️
Wow excuse me extremely professional lovely friendly detailed absolutely super cute and BEAUTIFUL. excellent. Good job.
Good to know that excellent tomato sauce can be made without removing tomato skins.
Ya I always wondered why ppl do that. That's losing alot of nutrients
Best tomato sauce ever!!! ❤️🍅❤️🍅❤️🍅❤️
Thanks sm for this video, I’m made it for my mom with pasta and she loved it and my siblings were fighting over it cuz I only made a little since I only had a few tomatoes haha
Came out really good too now I can brag abt being the favorite child😌 happy Mother’s Day
Isabella you are delightful! Thanks for sharing this recipe. Do you think some chopped onion would also be good to add with the garlic?
I don't think so. No need of onions
I have never experienced a pain greater than this sweet lady not being my mom 😭
Your mom: InTErestINg
why so negative? she did welll!
Patrick Kaufmann I thought so. The last guy used shit out of the can & called it authentic Italian pasta sauce.
Well that’s because crushed tomatoes is blended tomatoes but have no spaghetti sauce taste it’s just crushed tomatoes not tomato sauce
I had to pause it to tell you that I am getting more and more excited about developing my gardening skills (I only started a year ago in July...) to be able to produce some awesome tomatoes as I zoned on you cutting the tomatoes with your sharp knife. (You are so right about dull knives!)
You are so lovely.
Blessed those who enjoy your food and your company.
Thank you for your recipes and your happy disposition.
Have you ever tried Pink Himalayan Sea Salt? It has an amazing smooth flavor and is supposed to be healthier than normal table salt I believe.
I use pink salt for everything from range top to table, bought a pepper mill just for the salt, wonderful stuff.
She left the skin on ! Never seen a tomato sauce made like this and I live in Italy !
And what about the seeds?
Yeah right
she also made marinara sauce and not tomato sauce... just saying
Do u eat this sauce with ground beef and spaghetti? Like a bolognese?
@@alexisregan4119 yes!
@@jamesgross6466 thx I'll give it a try!!
It looks very delicious my friend thank you so much for sharing your recipes
This sauce was so easy to make. I used early girl tomatoes from my garden and it came out so amazing. The only thing I did different was whizzy it up at the end cause I like a smooth sauce. It’s so good I can drink it. Thank you so much for the recipe!
You have just such a delightful demeanor! I'm a bachelor and I need to make myself food. Subscribed!
