Ernest I only needed to trim back the the depth of the A/C control area, quite a bit around the steering column area on the classic dash piece, now on the factory dash a mega amount of trimming there out.... sweapt gauges and factory location for the headlight switch, I chose to trim out the ebrake location area to get it to sit right... also u must bolt in the factory dash back in a 100% before you start to reinstall the overlay dash... hopefully this info helps your installation. Let me know if you need any other advice or help.
Hey was actually looking at this kit for my 70. Previous owner cut the dash where the a/c vent delete plate goes in a rough hack job. I’ve been searching for a video where someone shows the kit but there’s nothing out there hardly, so thanks for posting! Are the LEDs already drilled?
M&J Bray yea man I had the same problem, no video or instruction of the installation from the vendor or summit racing so I figured I make a video to help others out that’s planning this swap. And be prepared for hours of trimming, and fitting and belt sanding over and over again. But the video will really help speed it along.
Thank you for this video. Been looking everywhere trying to figure out this is gonna fit in my 72. Life saver
It’s a lot of work with trimming out to make fit but it’s worth it, looks much better.
Oh boy , just ordered this kit. Looks time consuming but worth the end result
What electric windows did you use.
I want to add it to mine
I have this same kit for my '70. Did you have to do any trimming on the top of the new dash to get the pad to fit correctly ?
