This is absolutely dead on Kevin, i am an 70s baby and 80s kid, i started reading comics in 86’ star brand #1 from marvel’s new universe. I have been going through some terrible times and since the first iron man movie i have been living for these marvel movies. I am not joking. It’s been epic.

Fantastic episode. It would have been nice if the Punisher could have showed up a like a minute sooner on that rooftop. More than anything I want a Hellcat Netflix show.

john bernthal is the best punisher ive seen on screen he fits the role thats prision scene is still my favorite
Wilson fisk's Good Samaritan monologue was the greatest moment of season 1 for me. Wilson fisk's story and episode with the punisher was the best thing about season 2 for me. Imo it's a Huge compliment to those moments since its a great show with so many moments that can be claimed as the best without dispute.
I called my parents and forced them to watch the show starting with the punisher prison scene and it sold them in the show and they ended up binge watching both seasons.they were fans of comic book shows and movies(traditional ones) but that totally sold them.they then went on to watch Jessica jones and thought it was one of the best tv shows of any kind they've ever seen...up there with the like of breaking bad.that led to them watching g.o.t.g., antman and captain America. All things they would've never watched and now they're hooked. My parents are senior citizens ffs.

and I did not even reference any of the years of gorgeous art that he gave us for both DC and Marvel even when he was busy as editor and chief. =P
I'll admit I no longer read Spider-Man (My favorite hero) because of One More Day. A *young* Batman going to peepee pants city has nothing on the great responsibility hero making a deal with Mephisto. (Actually, I appreciated that story for focusing on the human side of Bruce that we do not see often anymore.)
But Joe Quesada IS a creative genius. Because of this man I am able to enjoy my love for comics with my family that did not understand why a 27 year old nerd still loves superheroes. This man is the reason why I love The Avengers as much as Spider-Man and The X-men. I understand your frustration Anthony but at least think about where Spider-Man and the rest of Marvel would be If he had not worked on these characters.
Honestly, Spider-Man isn't even ruined. THere was a ton of great Spider-Man comics after OMD.
laz kar Quesada kept the family together for all of us, whether we like him or not. That's a superhero in my book.
Wow. 1 bad story does not mean that someone can not go in and retcon it or tell a great story based off of it. (Clone Saga) Marvel as we have have known it for years would cease to exist had he not become E.I.C.
You guys can also thank him for that run that JMS had on the character. I'm pretty sure he hired him. I'm also pretty sure that the success of the Iron Man film is what saved (Modern) Marvel. (Quesada was involved with that film.) The disney deal came as a byproduct of that. We do not even see the Disney logo on Marvel products at all. If no one said anything you wouldn't know. (WB on the other hand...lol.)
Marvel has not needed to be saved from anything since Ike Perlmutter bought it, whatever you think about that madman he's the one who saved Marvel. When Disney bought Marvel recently they did it for the same reason they bougth LucasArts; $$$, by that point Marvel Studios was well under way and THAT was what they wanted, not Marvel Comics.
The only that what Saved Marvel from Bankruptcy was licensing every big name character to any Movie Studio that was willing to make it. One fucking movie makes more money than Marvel Comics makes in one fucking year. So Joe Quesade didn't save Jack Shit. Joe Quesade didn't make the stories any better than they were before. Infact he made a lot of them worse. Especially with shit like having Gwen Stacy do it with Norman Osborn. That was his fucking idea. Then he dumps Mary Jane, just so he have Peter make out with a character with his daughters first name. Now DC is now out selling marvel. Because of the horrible editorial decisions that started on His Watch. If Anything Joe Quesade is the prime example why illustrator should never ever be allowed to be editors. If anyone at this point has made Marvel Successful. Its Kevin Feige.
P.S. Yeah Quesade hired JMS and then forced him to write horrible stories.
Who knew Kev was such a great philosopher but his take on middle age at around 1:25 is spot-on (I'm about his age too).

Joe Quesada is the man. I love it when he is on FoBwB (Fatman on Batman with Bernardin, pronounced fobweeb).
There is a good point made about superhero movies fading out like Westerns, that wouldn't happen, because western have basically one feel, all share the same elements, These Marvel and DC movies take place in different times, planets, places and genres. So many different tones

yo kevin I saw that new yoga hosers trailer on imdb! But I gotta say I honestly liked the other foreign trailer for it better.
The problem I had, was they made a point in the first season 1 that DD uses all of his senses to observe what is around him, when he his talking to Rosario Dawson. It was the only time we got top see that world as he does. In season 2, they make the members of the hands "invisible" to him because he can't hear them, like he forget the rest of his senses.

When I subbed, it was a podcast about Batman. Expect constant changes, lol.
It was never really all about Batman. If you go to the original episodes before they were on UA-cam, they did plenty of talk about other characters. It's always been a comic book podcast. The only thing that's really changed is that they focus more on news, and less on interviews. Still a great show though.
The channel has only been quiet for the last couple of weeks really. Kevin's probably a little busy touring the country or working on production for The Flash right now

This is the way the show was before it was on UA-cam and, I'm sure, whey they have a guest but don't have the time to do the whole studio set-up, they just record an interview at Kev's house.

When I hear someone say that Comic Book Movies are going to go the way of the Western, I say "From your lips to God's ears". Westerns dominated Hollywood for 50 years before becoming anachronistic. I'll be more than happy to enjoy another 40 years of quality Comic movies before they ride off into the sunset.
The GeekTwins movie rights infographic always depicts Namor as being co-owned by Universal.
I was convinced Universal owned the Namor rights like the Hulk situation - I wonder if DC/WB moving forward with Aquaman has kicked any Namor plans in to the bushes, which is a shame as Namor is one of Marvel's most interesting characters. I hope he gets introduced as an Avengers villain in Phase 4 :-D
