yeah all looks good except for the pedestrian bridge crossing at 2:39. If you walked out of one of the side streets and wanted to cross the pedestrian bridge, why would you have to walk 50m up to cross at the pedestrian traffic light and then walk back down to cross the bridge. why aren't the pedestrian traffic lights positioned at both ends of the bridge instead? It seems a bit pointless to walk up and then walk back down and I would assume many would not bother and just cross the road illegally to get to the bridge. Please put the lights at the bridge and make it wide enough for cyclists to cross as well. The rest of the project looks great.
1950s freeway culture finally hits Adelaide. The thinking behind this project is what the rest of the world is now trying to escape. Building bigger roads achieves nothing but the need to build bigger roads until you can't build roads any bigger. South Road needed an upgrade for sure, but this project cuts the city in half and will make it almost impossible to ride safely from the western suburbs to the city, and will no doubt increase, not reduce, traffic congestion coming into the city. The noise generated from the fast moving traffic will be heard in Adelaide and especially North Adelaide as the prevailing winds push the sounds to the east. Can't wait for North Adelaide gentry to force a speed reduction along this freeway.
Because the ultimate outcome is to build a non-stop freeway that will eventually run from Nuriootpa to Noarlunga without encountering any lights or adverse traffic. It's being constructed in stages, but that will be the eventual result. So a roundabout at Port Rd would defeat that objective.
I wonder what happened to the dreams of widening the road all the way to Renmark? Sure it might bypass Truro and some other places, but that project is well overdue.
within 50 years maybe lol. But the traffic out east beyond the hills is very light anyway. It's also high speed, so the traffic that is there, is spread out enough to not really matter. Maybe if there was a population boom in the riverland, it might be justified.
Most likely stored for future works,I've seen many stockpiles at northern suburban outer areas, wondered what it was for...but have seen contractors for this project moving it in and out...
Really nice love the project already, been to Brisbane they have done a great job there. My hope is for South Road to be fully redeveloped
Just hope the water handling infrastructure never fails. If it did during a decent downpour, we'd have the world's biggest lap pool.
Why not a short tunnel from regency rd to Torrens rd
and then south bound at torrens river, slam back into traffic jam.
What is the music called used? It's very harmonious.
Which traffic simulation software u have used here?

+Adelaide Boy and traffic lights on torrens rd after all that

Why do you not show the cluster f**k at each end of the motorway ?
Hopefully they don't impose ridiculously low speed limits in the new sections. Should be at least 80. but knowing them, they will probably make it 60.
when will it be finished?

Where will all the excavated soil go?

Once again , NO cycling infrastructure , just the usual painted white line, and even more traffic. More traffic jams further on .
