Being from chicago where this was filmed and a baseball fan this movie holds a special place with me. My cousin dated one of the twins who played jefferson in this movie the big boy.

I was a teenager when I saw this. I couldn't watch the movie again until today. As an adult, G-Baby demise made me cry. What's even more crazy this movie came out back in 2001. Then months later the Twin Towers was destroyed here in NYC. I was 14 years old when the Twin Towers were destroyed. I actually witnessed that....

From Philly my mom's best friend was in the witness relocation program cause the mob wants to kill her now ex husband. I went down the road...trust me you don't want to go that way. Til this day, Hardball is one of the hardest movies to watch towards the end. It really makes you love those damn kids, and it hits hard seeing what they go through and also knowing its not made up. Its as real as it gets, your tears are justified. This movie makes me shed a tear every damn time, Ive worked with kids in after school programs and they have a certain charm that nothing can replicate. Love your reactions. 100

Only found your channel a few days ago and this movie is a blast for the past. Me and my buddy growing up would watch this movie at least twice a week. I didnt know who keanu was at that point. I can never listen to biggie without smiling.
Hardball is a certified hood classic, One of Keanu Reeves best movies, and itself underrated. I love that it was filmed here in Chicago 😎 The only negative is the fact that the Cubs baseball game scene was filmed at Tiger Stadium in Detroit.
This film really did something to my spirit when i first experienced the passion and fun nature of the way the film was made 🙏🏾🙏🏾💯

I remember watching this for the first time when I was 9 years old. And the part when g baby got killed boy, my heart sunk. It was the person and it is frustrating that people don't realize how impactable they can be to kids when they need to be. And I got to say MJ. I'm glad that you finally covered this movie. It is a childhood favorite and it's definitely worth the watch.

Beautiful movie. And if you don't cry about Baby G you ain't human. Hardball was a great film and after 9/11 it was the first film that opened up at number 1 afterward. The movie is sad but also ends in a hopeful way and is inspiring so in a way it kinda helped.
