Glad I watched this. Not only because it hits hard but I also didn’t realize part of the magic was that they have the same equipment and set up. These dudes are not only on point, and could be called virtuosos, but are also just plain good at writing songs. I noticed the newer stuff has less synth layering etc which I do miss but this band is amazing.
Chris Squire is my all time music hero - but you guys take bass playing to a completely different and higher level. So pleased I found you (through a Plini link).
I feel as though these tones heavily revolve around a darkglass distortion unit, probably a b7k or alpha omega, and definitely some kind of high end compression. Probably also darkglass, maybe the hyper luminal or super symmetry
I did the same thing when I had pups with exposed poll pieces. It keeps the strings from clacking on the magnetic poles when using a through string strike technique. (aggressive metal style) Cheers!
why does it seems like the homie with the blue bass is playing something different than the actual audio? for specific time it's at 3:00. i cant see how they're playing lines up with the audio for the breakdown
