Highly likely! I just think the way he says ‘how’s it going everybody?’ in the tune of the song itself, then ‘this sounds like a new song’ (almost sarcastically) may hint that it could very well the seed to a new song.. fingers crossed it is!
They’ve already recorded this song. Whether it was in TNA sessions or more recently, don’t know. But longtime fans should know this is not an improvised jam.
@Dbzfuckyea Albert confirmed but it'll be a few years as now they make music when their feeling it and not under pressure, plus the voidz is Julian's aim right now, considering the other members also have other projects too.
Those kind of "fans" that just go to their concerts to listen reptilia, took a video for IG and then get bored, are annoying and really don't appreciate the strokes unique style.
With this I think it's safe to say that the strokes have outgrown their first two albums and found a new sound. Anyone who says they fell off after room on fire needs to listen to this. I hope we get another album with songs like this on it soon
I would like to think they never fell off, just sought to be known for something other than Is This It… People wanted them to do the same thing again and again, but they chose to evolve
To me, this sounds to me like a Strokes version of Human Sadness. It has that melancholic melody to it, catchy as hell hook, and lyrics about the past, but also just a straight up jam. Love these guys
2 am. Woke up, could not sleep, brain, nerves are on fire, fear etc... Came up to listen some Strokes melodies to cheer me up and this just popped up. When the guitar melody first hit I started crying immediatley knew this will be the best 6 minutes of my life. No other band can do this to me a random song meets with basic human chemicals and an unexplainable happy and sad joyful feeling comes together into euphory, a perfect balance. If only I could relieve this... Just absolutely amazing how they have these kind of songs in their sleeves easily. Every instrument is just perfect how the guitars start to talk and Fab and Nikolai is there to back it up and take you away on the train of unexpected melodies. Julians small jokes calms me down that itll be ok... then he starts to sing and gets into it seriously is when the joy hits like an atom bomb. I do not care what anyone else says. What ever happens around Julian is something exceptionally magical thats something worth to live for whatever happens.
The Strokes / JC community should compile all these UA-cam-one off songs and improve moments into one place.... not saying there should be a bootleg ..... or anything ....
Holy shit this improv jam is insane, you can tell the next level synergy with the band is amazing! I did hear people complained about this but imagine being lucky to hear a improv from this band? I know The Voidz do improv jams all the time but for The Strokes to do it, super rare! Thank you for recording this, I'm saving it to my favorites!
I bought Is This It on it's release date. Same with Room on Fire and 1st Impressions. Depending on who you asked the Strokes started to spiral after their 1st 3 albums. But once I absorbed the Voidz and the New Abnormal the other albums started to make more sense. They weren't looking to be who everyone else wanted them to be. Musicians should progress throughout their career and it's been an interesting journey following the Strokes as they branch out and come together to deliver so many amazing tracks! Can't wait for this seedling to grow
@@giannalaurencio4315 I think my opinion of them spiraling was me getting older wanting them to fit what I wanted them to keep being. I just got lazy with music for a while as I started a family and had all these new hobbies. But it’s so cool to come back and rediscover them all over again

Now I have post Strokes depression because I'd been looking forward to the concert for so long. Sighhhhhhh
Watching this as I'm finally reading the "Meet Me in the Bathroom" book chapter about the Strokes and how young they were when they first met. Makes perfect sense.
this is an improvised song on the setlist, for your knowledge. Could be a seed of a new song, but it says its an improvisation on the official setlist on concertarchives.

I think the same

this sounds like a room on fire song but more mature
