Came for the behs, stayed for the valid choice of the truly superior Aldi nose hair trimmer.
😂😂
That piece of shit burned out on me quick!

Thanks for the shout-out homie, your jacket is looking great! 🦖🦖🦖
dude your sense of humor is so underrated lol
I know fr. 😂
One of my favorites..
That Stevie bloody T impression was spot on.
Oh man. That bass is beautiful. As a guy who got their dream bass back in December (Ric 4003 baby!) i know how you feel. Well deserved Danny!
I love this bass. It’s weird. It has an SG body which you don’t see every day on a bass. It has so much personality and uniqueness and it fits Danny perfectly
It also fits him in that he doesn't look so tiny when playing it. Win on both counts!
That first tone is giving strong James Jamerson vibes. Love it.
It was my favorite. Like a comfy blanket… A funky, but comfy snuggly blanket! 🥰
Nice. My first bass (2nd owner) was a 1969 EB0. It's the only bass on my wall now. I adhered a thin soapbar guitar pickup meant to go over an acoustic sound hole in the bridge position so I didn't have to route it out. Sounds like a fender jazz. With new round wounds, the mudbucker and the bridge pickup together sound like a ballsy, clanky Rickenbacker. The short scale neck is so easy and fast. My dream bass is a short scale Alembic Stanley brown bass. Doubt very much I'll ever own one. Would consider having one only if I was still a pro, but even back then, I couldn't see spending that kind of money on any instrument.
EB-3 was my dream guitar when I started out, thank you Jack Bruce, but couldn't come near affording one. Around 1974 or so I bought a well clapped out 1966 short scale. It was an absolute eye sore but still loved it. It got retired a few decades back but around five years ago I pulled it out and completely restored it. Even found a case for it and restored that too. The shop that sold it to me only had an EB-2 case so it had been living in that. It is so gorgeous now you don't want to play it. But I sure as do. The original varitone circuit is still in it and works as advertised. I even found an original string mute and put that back on it. Only thing I wouldn't put back was the string guard. Just got in the way.
Congrats Danny 🎉
I would absolutely love one of those!
Keep it up man

I got chills once you played Andy Frasers bass line. He is one of my favorites aswell. Congratulations on your marriage, we all hope to find the one someday.
Andy Fraser is awesome. His playing on Mr Big is out of this world!
Yep! I have a 68 EB-O with an added 72 EB-3 bridge pickup, red like yours. I left it at my band's practice house and my lead singer split my headstock. So when I repaired it, I put on a new bridge, added a P-Bass pickup in the middle and refinished it in satin natural with a rainbow pickguard (which I eventually changed to black). It was my gigging bass from my first paying gig at age 14 until I was 28. I KNEW what your would sound like. Bravo and love your channel. I played 'All Right Now' a million times in my Top 40 at age 19. Thanks for the memories.
Sounds really good, I listened with headphones so I heard that bassy goodness with the tone rolled off.
This guy is just really fun to watch
Wonderful catch on that beautiful thing Danny!
Can't think of a better musician to hold such a wonderful piece of equipment. Cheers to you!
Love all the Stranglers stuff on your jacket
Stranglers are so underrated
@@poetryofbeing totally agree, JJ has with his talent introduced so many to picking up the bass, me included about 45 years ago 🥴
SG style basses are so underrated! I love my epiphone EB3! Glad you got your dream one!
beautiful - both the bass, and the playing. Congratulations!
Congrats, man. I got my dream bass last summer - a hagstrom viking (admittedly a pretty accessible bass) - and I'm still in the honeymoon phase
Doesn't matter how accessible it is, if its your dream bass its your dream bass! Hope its serving you well!
@@Gammaknife97 it certainly is
I just got my own dream bass less than a month ago. An Epiphone Zenith with the lined fretless finger board in the "antique natural" finish.
@@MisterJWJ71for years I played a lined fretless Ibanez. I haven't picked it up since getting my hagstrom, but it's a fantastic bass. I hope it's treating you well
@@msawyer406 So far yes. I'm a guitar player and really just noodle around on bass but, I love the look of the Epiphone Zenith. The only down side I didn't expect was that it's a BOAT ANCHOR! Mine weighs about 10 pounds. I've seen people say that the weight can vary between 10 and 13 pounds. So, mine is a "light" boat anchor. LOL
That bass has got the dusty old rock tone when you play it with the fingers and favour a decent pickup blend, love it!
Loving the Slade badge Danny. Jim Lea is without doubt one of the most criminally under-rated behs players of all time.
Agreed!!!
so true, one of the reasons i started playing
Love your humor and all the BEHS stuff. I hope you get your Aston Martin
what in tarnation, you look fcking awesome with that trad grip on drums at the intro 😭😭😭👍👍👍👍
Where is 5 string bEhs video?????
Soon
@@DannySapko Skip it. Five strings suck.
@@stumpythedwarf8712 I agree. My first bass was a 5 string and every bass I've bought after that has been a four string. I might get a six string at some point but I'll probably just buy one and stop there.
@@davidmckelvey2601 Six strings suck even harder, lol.
@@stumpythedwarf8712 is a bass VI included in this category?
2:14 Paul Del Bello's chsnnel is amazing. I've learnt so much about bass from him
This made me happy
There’s currently a vintage modded EB3 with 3 mudbuckers for sale - it’s rather appealing!
your favourite bass.. aswell as mine danny. for me, all because of that monsterous tone from jack bruce in his cream era.
Congrats Bro! It sounds so good. Very smooth sound. Your playing is excellent so part of the smooth was you. Have fun with the new bass and thanks again for having such a great channel.
I don’t have a musical bone in my body but I loving watching these videos for Danny’s sense of humour and sarcasm 😂
Love the joy coming from you. ❤. Thanks man!
Glad you found a behs you love so much. And it does sound great.
it's so sad that Danny's long video is better but has less views than his shorts...hope your long videos will get successful, love your channel!
You got to check out Remco's Groove Lab, You Mad Lad You
That’s a beautiful bass! When you know, you know!
Bobby west/David Sims bass tone! It's so gritty and bright with the TS-50b head, that classic Chicago noise rock sound
Definitely cool to see you got one of those, any time I see them I immediately think of Jack Bruce and Andy Fraser, both of which are absolutely insane bass players in their own right
Good Vid Danny, fellow Yorkshireman here, well from Barnsley now living for the last 25 years in Texas... Gibson SG bass my dream bass too...
I have to do with a Yamaha due to financial limitations. Bradford City yaeh!
This was beautiful Danny! Absolutely loved how you put your finger tone into this behs, like your style (as I think with any bassist) has their own unique touch on a bass, more so plucking over pick , you implicated it on this EB. It really reminds me of how you used to play on those retrovibe and humbucker basses, your fingers with that muddy sound (best with mudbuckers)
Awww just married!! Congratulations to the happy couple! She sounds great! I saw a Hendrix tribute recently and the guy was playing an EB0 and it sounded really sweet through the PA, really carried the sound. Glad you found your dream bass!
The behs sounds ace! Congrats.
Ehce perhaps?
Sounds great! Huge old school vibes.
That intro felt like whiplash for a manscaped partnership
I am so glad I found your channel! It is excellent content!
Watching you Danny is like getting transported back to the beginning of UA-cam. That’s not a bad thing at all! Just refreshing honesty and enthusiasm.
Ooh, Bluebird Bitter... Nice.
You are awesome!
That thing sounds juicy even with a dry signal...great find.
Sounds amazing hope it's comfortable as well
Bass of the Pirate King Atomisk, glorious behs my friend, congratulations! Always wanted an EB-0 and a RB 4001 in Blue for reasons
Comes into its own with a plectrum!
Congratulations!
It's great that you got the perfect sound out of it you like. I hope you are happy with the neck as well.
Cheers
Dude, that’s really cool!!! Good for you!!!
That’s a badass bass, and you obviously know exactly how to use it.
Congrats Danny, really gorgeous bass. Sounds great just D.I and with the mods it's clearly been a player's bass and and they're usually the good ones.
Agree with you on the DB5 too
Great sounding BEHS!!! Love your enjoyment of it. Bass on my man. 👍
Congrats on the "new" behs! It has a nice honk to it.
8:33 pure magic 🪄 I’m so glad you shared this moment of realization with us
I wonder what conditioner he uses. As a guy with thick, heavy, and now long hair, mine costs me $50 a bottle.
Totally worth it.
"That lovely, lovely sound." -- Stan Gehts
That bridge pickup with the tone rolled off. Amazing!!!! Seeet bass!
You made my Friday, brother Danny!
Tomorrow is my birthday, but, damn, I feel like I just got a present. Awesome.
🙏🏽✌🏽💙 from Minnesota, USA
I actually just got my very first BEHS!! It’s a Kala Ubass that belonged to a great friend and I love it!
Both pickups sounded amazing!
Great to see you smile when you coax a particularly sweet behs note! Live your dream man
I feel you!! I have a 1965 EB-0 and it feels soooooooo good!! I swapped the pickup for a DiMarzio Model One, changed the pots for push-pulls so I can run it as a single coil or humbucker, serie or parallel. Amazing!! Keep up the good work!!!
Congrats to ya! Bet you were super excited!
That's the bass I learned on. My grandfather's. Beautiful.
Great stuff! Awesome bass! In addition to your top level playing, you are also an incredibly funny wee sod! ;)
Congrats bro!, beautiful bass.😍 My dad played one in the 70s and always bragged on it. Have fun consumating the marriage! 🤘👌
Congrats on getting the bass! So happy for you.
Cheers on such a monumental acquisition!!! You look very happy.
Beautiful sounding bass, and looks to match!
Oh wow. That bass sounds incredible. So happy it found its way over to you!!
I was thinking "Slow! don't go so fast!" but it's "all right now"
absolutely beautiful bass dood congrats!
Your face says it all! What a pleasure to see you enjoying that bass. It sounds great, especially the pick playing was awesome! Keep up making great content, I'd love to see more long-form videos of you!
Wow man, I really needed laughs like this. I don't know where you came from but I started seeing your short videos recently, and this is even better.
And, that base sounds ace! I love it so much
Ohh that bass sounds awesome! And nice playing!
I'm happy for you man. I'm just a few weeks away from finally getting my custom dream bass. Life is short and when the reality lives up to the hype sometimes you've just got to go for it
Your enthusiasm is infectious! Enjoy your bass mate! She’s a beaut
i would love to see more long form videos with lots of actually playing. Just listening to you play behs is wonderful.
Nicely done Danny! Just bought some BEHS merch! love you content! Sending you my best from West Hollywood California
✌️❤️🎧
Holy fuck! I just realized I wasn't subscribed. My bad. Situation rectified. I watch you all the time and love every minute.
The bass really suits you! Congrats!
I always refer to that as a "polka bass", bc most of the old guys playing in polka bands here in Cleveland when i grew up played those. That big ol' brick of a neck pickup gave them the sweet, woody tone they wanted.
Killer sound. Lots of fun. Plenty versatile. That’s a good behs! 👍🏻
You and that bass were made for each other. Congratulations!
That sounds so sweet! My first real bass was an EB-3 copy, and I played the heck out of it through high school.
Congratulations to getting your dream bass.
Maybe one day I will have mine.
You give me hope.
Happy playing buddy!!!!!
What's your dream bass?
I played a modern SG bass at a music store recently, I was shocked at how light it was. Felt really good to play so congrats Danny.
Gorgeously awesome. That's a darn good fit. Sounds good when you get carried away, Danny!
Nice sound. Really happy for you buddy.
Congrats on getting your dream bass! I have basses that served the purpose but never found one that worked for me but thanks to Warmoth I built mine.
Thats actually not a bad Stevie T impression. Way back in the day, my behs teacher had a factory second EB-O (had "second" stamped in the back of the headstock) that he let me try out. Super comfortable to play, super cool behs.
Great looking and sounding guitar.
Great content. I randomly landed here. Glad I did! Keep up the good work.
The bass sounds amazing! Congrats on finding the magic one❤
I was playing in the before time when all bass guitars had 4 strings- had motorcycle wreck and lost an arm.
That is a great sounding bass
Bloody brilliant!
great playing... first time i've heard you play!
