Boris Johnson refuses to answer questions about police visit to his home

- During the Tory leadership hustings in Birmingham on Saturday afternoon, journalist Iain Dale pressed Boris Johnson on a report in the Guardian that police were called to the home he shares with his partner, Carrie Symonds. 'I don't think they want to hear about that kind of thing,' Johnson said before going on to repeatedly avoid answering the question.

@@kevintwine2315 why don't you just leave now then. Just another remoaner we don't need...
Laughable. What a state we're in.
Why should he have to detail his private life to the audience?
Exactly. Journalists are political activists, not truth seekers.
The audience reaction here is thoroughly depressing.
@trafficlight9199 And i would say why do the public need to know? Until a charge is brought up or an accusation I really don't see why anyone needs to know.
@trafficlight9199 Reporting on it is fine not what I am saying at all. But do we really need an interviewer to delve into it further, not really tbh its a personal matter. Unless there was a charge or accusation I find it irrelevant. But as a side note the media is way too intrusive into people private lives (not referring to this case but in general), the public doesn't need to nor should know everything about someone.
We adore our servitude =)
@trafficlight9199 If Corbyn had an argument with his misses and his neighbours called the Police, should he have to disclose it and the reasons for said arguement to the public? Even after the Police have publicised the that everyone/everything was fine and nothing was wrong? Besides, it was the neighbour who called the Police and said it was an emergency not Borris, or his partner! I think they should charge the nosey ear wigging neighbour for wasting Police time.
@trafficlight9199 Well it is because I think there is a difference between reporting it and asking in an interview. In this case the reporting is fine. If it was an affair though then I don't this it should even be reported. And i don't care who it is, any MP or a celeb. Why can't your private life be your private life? But as i said in this case its a bit different as police were called. Thats my opinion on the matter.
He's very determined not to answer the question
There is nothing to answer. People argue, the neighbour should be sued for recording a private fight.
@@redrumax People are wrong then. If it was loud enough to hear a possible crime outside the flat, it is loud enough to record. There wasn't an illegal phone tap or surveillance.
@@redrumax but surely if his intention is to be the countries next prime minister, he should be somewhat open with the people about matters regarding the police visiting his home. Because it's nobody's business
@@tomtheeagle1 There was no crime and there is no such thing as a "possible crime" people need to mind their own dirty business before spelunking into someone elses private home life. Girlfriend half his age...police called after she is heard screaming "get off me"...police initially try to deny they attended...it is PERFECTLY legitimate to ask a prospective prime minister about the issue. Given that the Tories pride themselves on family values, it just shows how low their morals have slipped that they are happy to ignore this sort of issue just to preserve their self interests.
