Very true and honestly the break has done him a WORLD of good...i bet his next decade will be his best yet...many artists get burnt out or need a break for physical/mental or both and never do...money and fame a lure and necessity in some cases that keeps them going. He had the courage to say enough...its time for ME and it shows. Not only is his voice back but arguably more important. His PASSION :)
His voice is even better than One cold winter's night live. Just amazing. Old Conception songs have some high notes, so when I watched video of Roy's last live with Kamelot (especially wacken live 2010) I thought he can't sing Conception songs anymore. (Because at that time Roy's voice seems tired and has not enough power to hit that high notes.) But now in this video he hit that notes smooth as silk. Roy, The best.
Referring to Wacken 2010? Damn. I guess I should let you know, he was so drunk he could barely focus on the sound and overall flow of the songs. That was when he had a bottle of alcohol for breakfast or something. Taken from his conception reunion interview, iirc. People have also speculated he was just sick and tired but drunk actually seems quite plausible too.

Amazing , but PLEASE , the guitar tone is sooooooooo down, needs way more crunch !! Tore use the ESP u've used in the past on the Japan lives, it was incredibly good !!
For a live phone filmed video, the mix is muddy, choppy, and AWFUL. Even having said that, Roy's voice shines through like a beacon of hope in a sea of mediocrity. The guitar work is simply brilliant and the whole band seems tight and precise.
