I love it when they release new maps because it builds up the hype for the new seasons and scarefests

I put in all the scarefest maps I could find. Sadly they are less preserved than the main park maps.

Everything from 1995 > 2004 is my childhood. Loved looking at them.
Nemesis still my favourite in the UK.
good to see the different Park maps from the past at Alton Towers. I only went to Alton Towers in 2018.

I have a suggestion you should do a decade of alton towers video where you do an overview of the parks operations from 2010-2020.

3:28 1999. The year (and only year), me and my family went to Alton Towers. I used to be a big sucker for keeping old maps. I beg to know what happened or what we did with it.

Some many designs the square 3D ones weren’t a good idea and all the maps make the park look bigger and smaller some years
Yeah, I’m not keen on the latest style. My favourite was the 2008 to 2010 map.
the 2007 map was when I started going wig my dad.... something nostalgia about it!

2006 map March-June wtf is the zip wire thing coming out of the towers named “vertigo”
Sam Cinema I believe it was a pop up zip line in an attempt for the worlds longest zip line.

I had digital copies of them all, but my physical copies only date back to around 2014.

Monorail Station 2012-2015.
In your 1981 section why didn't you mention with the others that-Doom + Sons opened??
And in 1989 you don't mention- Canal Boat Ride opening
You never said Motor Museum,Swan Boats, + Festival Park Dome all opened in 1987, among others you missed out like Cine 360 n 1983 the repaced by 3D Cinema which opened in 1988, also in 1984 The Wave Swinger opens,
in 1986-Rupert Bear Magic Show closed in Sept of 86 from opening in April of 1980 etc

When do you think you might start making that?
mikey p was about short of space sadly. I’m not sure, I would normally use TowersTimes for the images of old rides, but seeing as they are attacking every channel with their content in, I’m going to have to massively rethink how I go ahead.

Have you been to any Theme Parks outside the UK + if so which one you been too. Or if not which ones you want to go too?
mikey p I’m going to look into talking to other sources and seeing what they say. I haven’t been anywhere outside the UK yet, and I’m not all that bothered where I go, just want to do some.
Why don’t they do the map leaflets anymore :(
Crystal Lou it’s just a temporary thing at the moment due to COVID-19. Hopefully once we return to normality we’ll see some more maps.

Fair enough, I do think it’s very clear, but just looks a tad boring to me. My favourite is 2008-2010, as it’s just the right amount of clarity for navigation, but also looks very pretty.
Your right that is where the maps start looking like the ones today
My dad was working for credit card terminals in Alton towers and got to go on the rides for free!

2022, Rita closes, 2023, SW9 openes
If Rita was to be removed for SW9, it would be very likely there would be at least a years gap between the closing and openings.
What’s the go! Go! Go! Show?
It was a live show in the CCL theatre. I never saw it so I can’t say much about it, but I’d suggest having a look on Towers Times as I’m sure they’ll have something on it.

Times were different back then. With a slight adjustment on the words I see no reason why the basic idea for the name could not be reused.
The 2005 Map look so cheap
It sacrifices a cool design for ease of sight.
