In this video I try out a RYOBI 13.5 amp electric cultivator. I build the machine out of the box and till some grass and dirt for a new garden we are making. This worked out great for us and I hope you enjoy the video.

I cut our internet line!! Lol..and this Lil' booger cut through vines. Had to stop a good bit to pull vines off wheels. Love it!

I think the net is for the grass? At least that’s what we found when we dug a hole for our satsuma tree. Never figured lawnscape needed netting but it makes sense to me. Lol

I called Ryobi and they said simply use your tiller with wheels….in fact now that I think about it your theory would apply to ALL TILLERS AND IM SORRY BUT THE WHEELS ARE THERE FOR A REASON!

Just got mine but discovered the electrical cords, I need a 100ft. one, can be very pricey at over $60 :(
If 80 feet is enough, a 14/3 is more than enough. Or you can use the 80 Ft. 14/3 and a shorter 12/3 extension cord from the outlet. Bigger wire carries voltage with less line loss. 25 Ft. of 12/3 is little line loss. 10/3 romex with all weather plug and recepticle attached 50 Ft long with a 50 Ft, 14/3 extension cord would get you there with very little line loss.
I cut through a line . Don’t know where or who’s it was. My internet still works so 🤷♀️ oopsies neighbors. Sorrryyyyyy.
About how deep would you say you were able to till with the Ryobi?
I'm looking to get a tiller to break up some compacted dirt where grass used to be. Spent several hours at it with a mattock, and was exhaused, and barely hit 5% of the area I need to break up (600sf).

Hello my friend. The instructions say you can go to 8 inches deep, I would say it does go 8 inches with out issue. This cultivator is light weight though so if your using it on grass it may bounce around a lot, it worked well for me. Good luck and have a blessed day. =)
I'm sure you already solved your problem by now but for others, I would suggest wetting the area down at night every night for a week before trying to break up packed dirt with a mattock or turning it with a shovel.
Great video question how long did it take you to do that area? That will give me a ballpark idea for my own yard I just bought one it will be here today. Thanks 🙏

To till the soil roughly 1 hour for a eight foot by ten foot plot. =)
@@happyhomecrafts That took an hour? How many passes? Any fatigue? My arms are like jelly after using my Ryobi weed eater for 20 minutes.
for women you have to go step by step you went so fast as far as assembling and then you should tell show the women this to use these screws to put this so step by step is good for women we're newbies
For...women? This is a review, not an assembly. I would not feel comfy showing anyone how to assemble this. What if they got hurt. :) Follow your enclosed instructions and be safe, friend.
They still design them with the wheels in back. Face palm.
