it's been a hot minute! i got a new desktop recently so i christened it making this little avatar character lol. i used veadotube mini to animate the frames based on mic input!

hi what's the canvas size you specifically used for this one?

i tend to work big so i can downsize without losing quality - i've actually updated this model since recording this video, but i always start new work on a 3300 x 5100 pixel 300 dpi canvas! the canvas here is cropped a bit, so it's probably 3300 x 4000 px. hope that helps :D

How do u make the eyes close!! I’m making my own pngtuber as well and I’ve always wondered how

you need 4 different versions/frames of the character! eyes open + mouth closed, eyes closed + mouth closed, eyes open + mouth open, and eyes closed + mouth open. i draw the expression parts on their own layers so i can easily turn them on or off when exporting. when you import these 4 frames into veadotube mini it should automatically animate the blinking for you! i hope that helped ^_^

what size of canvas do you use?

usually i work on an 11 x 17 inch canvas at 300 DPI and resize it as needed for smaller stuff like this!
