@@mpk2542 did those bolts work for you? I bought some non-factory bolts in this size from hardware store but they didn't screw in easily and am nervous about forcing it, as i don't want to strip it.. Not sure if it's the paint in the hole as mentioned in the video.
@@jerrywexler5982 Ah ok. I figured out my issue. The cheap bolts I bought on Amazon did not fit but the stainless ones (M10x1.5x30) from a local hardware store worked perfect.
Built to Serve and Back Country edition Trucks come with skid plate protection pkg.. lots of features and special paint options at a relative bargain price point to those who may be considering a new Ram
I love your video’s for the Ram trucks, I have the same truck only in Delmonico Red. I will end up doing the skid plates next summer. You mentioned something about the oil filter change would be messy with the plate in place, you should do a video on an after market oil filter relocation. I see there are a few out there. I did an oil and filter change once when it was new and I won’t do that again, what a mess. The oil filter was on so tight from the factory that I butchered it bad get it off. Keep you video’s coming
Fyi the bolts should be M10x1.5, probably around 35mm
That's the size I ended up getting with a little research, thanks for the confirmation. I'll be installing the skid plates in the near future. 👍
Correct.
God bless you. I ordered M10-1.5x35 but have NOT installed yet.

Update: The amazon bolts in this size did not fit but the stainless ones from a local hardware store fit perfect.
Highly recommended
I just put them on my 2020 Bighorn. They both bolted right up and it took less that 10 minutes.
did you use OEM bolts?
They came with bolts. I believe they are the same as OEM

Does the retractable air dam have to be removed?
Do you have part numbers for fuel tank skid plate and hardware
Will these cover the catalytic converter?
Check out an Oil Udder XL funnel. Works good when changing oil filter on these Rams. Less mess. Hope this helps.

The skid plate won't interfere with the oil change at all, in fact it's about the only thing that doesn't interfere with the oil change haha
I had a heck of a time getting the factory oil filter off too!
