When he speaks about, "the fans don't know what it takes to play on Sunday," he means the pain killing shots to practice, pain killing shots to play. He's talking about doing therapy 16 hours a day to try to heal a injury enough to play on Sunday. And it's not just loyalty, that player may feel he HAS to play because of competition from his backup.
People don't really understand what these players go through, they know it is tough, but they really have no frame of reference for how tough "tough" can get.
That's why Ballard only wants high-character guys who won't fold on you or go crazy in times of pressure.
One thing I noticed randomly is I feel like Q never gets interviewed hardly ever lol I feel like I’m always seeing the same pool of players
I don't think he's a people person especially when we're talking about the media😅
Let’s gooo Ryan that’s what I’m talking bout when it comes to the 18 games
Soft af

I completely agree with Ryan about getting rid of preseason games. It ultimately will have undrafted guys having to prove themselves without a fair chance to prove in game days other than there college film.
This dude's about to retire. That's all I heard.
*Edit: To clarify, he's not wrong. But he has to know what's coming.
Studies have shown that practicing for a period until you know something well, taking a break (weeks or a few months), and practicing again after the break is way more beneficial for memory than cramming your practice together, even if the crammed practice is longer. Your brain says, "Oh, we saw this a lot back then, and now we're seeing it again. It must be important. Let's keep this!"
The continuous shortening of the off-season is going to lead to more busted plays. It might make for more fun or exciting football to watch, but it won't be as clean.
I don't think Ryan and the other players are too concerned about that. They are thinking of their own schedules and such. They are trying to spend a longer time completely away from football. But, the already-longer season makes it very hard to actually increase their time off, in the future they will certainly have less.
@scottbolander8137 They're paid very well to play football. Even the late round draftees. I'm ok with the current number of games, but one more isn't crazy. They'll all get a raise out of it. Most guys retire in their 30s. If they manage their money well they will have plenty of time away from football when it's all said and done.
It's not weeks or a few months. It's hours. A day at most.
@@TroIIingThemSoftly Not the studies I've looked at.
Dude should just retire if he can handle 1 more game.
Oh ok social media GM…play at their level
@@erniebyrd1244 they’re getting paid millions to play a game. Stfu clown
If the NFL made it 18, he would play 18. Doesn't mean he has to agree with it. This guy has put his heart and soul into this team, cmon now
@@Pain-rk7hu what are you talking about dude is always hurt. He should’ve retired years ago
Fans do know it takes mental toughness physical toughness
