Hey up TB7-X, thanks for your kind words, I prefer the soft luggage than hard, these are really good, thanks for watching and dropping a comment much appreciated, ride safe Simon B 😎
I used soft luggage when I was using my classic sports bikes to tour on. It's the Oxford sports panniers, not the best thing, but they did me well. I still have them in the loft. Over five years ago, I bought the old FJ1200, paid £1000 for it complete with full Krauser K2 luggage! I have used it for many tours and rallies. A bike fitted with luggage for less than the price of quality luggage and the racks to fit them to a new bike. I don't think you can beat that!
Good review and thoughts. This helped me decide to get these over the aluminum boxs that are much heavier and break legs or ankles when a fall over happens and the rider's leg gets trapped between the box and the ground
@@SIMONB1 yes I am looking, I’ve got the Adventure spec ones at moment, but think these would be better suited to my missus AT, she has givi frames on already
Thank you for putting together the instructive video. is the bag itself lockable with a wire lock or anything similar? Mosko Moto has a system that enables using a wire lock so the bag can’t be broken into. Secondly is this material such that someone can cut into it with a blade or similar or would that be somewhat hard to do? Thank you.
Hey up akaxe77, yes you can buy a cable from givi to lock the bags, and the material would cut quite easy with a sharp knife, when I stay places, I take the inner bags to the room and leave the tops open showing nothing inside 😁, thanks for the positive feedback/comment, ride safe, Simon B 👍
Hey up Dessie, the right is the same as the left, but the exhaust is there so not as much room, the givi mounting plates need some sort of rack to bolt to, so the it will bolt to the GSA rack, I believe 🤔, ride safe Simon B 👍
Thanks Simon for this instruction footage. Im try to decide if i want these panniers. I have one question, can i ride with my girl on the duo, or are these bags to high at the buddy that will sidecross my girl. She dont have a big ass but so wants also i bit of comfortable sit. You know. Thanks in advantage for your answers. Oow my bike a BMW R1200GS Adventure 2009
@user-fv1576 hey up Nick, don't think there is anything cheaper or smaller out there, apart from the rinowalk stuff on Amazon, but you get what you pay for 🤔, hope that helps, ride safe, Simon B 😎
I bought a 2019 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R from a dealer, after seeing it online. It came with pannier racks (no panniers!), but I’m unable to identify which brand; I *think* they’re Touratech, but could be wrong. From your video (nicely done, btw!), I’m thinking there’s a good chance this system will fit, but I’m slightly apprehensive at the thought of spaffin’ away £4-500 on panniers that won’t fit. There’s nothing extraordinary about the racks, that I can tell; they certainly don’t massively different from others that I’ve seen. Your thoughts; worth a gamble or not?
Hey up dModer101, what's the measurements between the centers if the top tube and bottom ? , I'll measure mine and if they are about the same they will fit 😁
Hey up UA-camrs, who else changed over to the soft side ? Do you like them ? What make are yours ? 👍🤔
I dig your channel. Great reviews. I ride a 2023 Honda CRF300L Rally and I’m considering this luggage set. Lots of thanks from Miami, Florida!

Hey up Alistair, bargain that bike and the luggage, if it's not broke, no need to change it , ride safe, Simon B 👍

Nice film that, always interesting and informative

What’s the set up on the right hand side ? And does this bolt straight onto OEM BMW racks ? 👍🏼

They don't come up anymore that other hard panniers, so I couldn't see a problem, hope that helps, ride safe, Simon B 👍

Smaller cheaper options ?
Hey up Nick, smaller cheaper options ?, don't get what you are asking 🤔
@@SIMONB1 can you recommend any luggage which is slightly smaller and cheaper?

Hi , Did you have to move the rear indicators , as stated in the instructions ??
Hey up David, no I have left them the way they were, ride safe, Simon B 👍
@@SIMONB1 Perfect thanks ! are they narrower than the BMW vario panniers when fitted on the GS ??
Hey up David, yes they are a little narrower.
Are the brackets on the side racks included with the set? Or do you need to buy those in addition to monokey side racks?
Hey up Matteo, the plastic brackets that bolt to the racks come with the bags, ride safe, Simon B 👍
Thank you Simon, this is a quality review and the bags look great
I have the Givi rack with lomo panniers but I will be getting these 👍🏻
Hey up Door Matt, they are rather good, thanks for watching, ride safe, Simon B

Hey up dModer101, great news, I think most pannier racks have the bars the same distance apart, so all can be interchangeable, ride safe, Simon B 👍
