My T14s did not charge anymore, but it was not affected by the bad firmware versions (check lenovo support pages). In the end pressing the reset button for 15+ secs did the trick and my battery is charging again.

Can the T14 run without the battery installed, I.e. with the charging cable plugged in at all times? My earlier gen Lenovo had external batteries that could be removed to run on external power. Wondering if that's possible with internal batteries?
