I feel bad for this guy because he does not know that Arthur Mac Aedan died fighting near there in 594 AD according to the Life of Columba and the Annals of Tigernach. This was a person who was the son of a Scottish King who fought in Dark Age battles in Britain and maybe in Ulster Ireland, maybe Isle of Mann too, whose name was Arthur. He died fighting the Miathi Tribe of Picts who lived in the north-eastern region of the Firth of Fourth, the area around Stirling.
King Arthur has and always will be a very very interesting royal figure.

There was a Snowdon or Snowden castle. In my family research we heard of a King that had some issues and had to flee. He wrote to his sister that he was safe and being sheltered at Snowden or Snowdon castle. I'm trying to locate more info...

Never in a month of Sunday’s as King Arthur is a middle medieval fantasy story. If it wasn’t Gildas the Welsh monk and writer who wrote about the history of the Britons in the 6th century AD would have mentioned him. They carry the King Arthur saga on either to make money or to live out a fantasy!
